“This was our first time eating Portuguese food that I am aware of. We weren't even aware that it was Portuguese before we arrived and nearly left until the polite people that work there helped us find something we liked. We were blown away. “Everything we ordered, the lemongrass chicken, the banh mi and the phó was delicious and worth the money. The prices for each were also fair and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. What makes the experience really bothering was the service, from the getgo ordering the guy in glasses manning the counter had an unpleasant attitude and was overall cold even as we were polite thanking them each time our food was served. It's ironic since the food is great but then the people talking to the customers had utmost disinterest to servicing customers. I would also include that there's an extra fee for extra cutlery, I get it's a business and inflation is hitting us all but in my perspective, it's still cutlery and we want to eat with our family by sharing. It's just really unpleasant being unable to truly enjoy your meal when you experience an unnecessary bad service given with no reason. Almost perfect experience, so take this review with a grain of salt if you wanna try this place.“

“I have been meaning to write this location a review for a couple months... and after a visit last night i knew i had to hop on and get it done!
This is the best DQ location around! I have three kids and we seem to be regulars now, haha. Between an evening ice cream, or my kids love of their chicken strips, this is our fave new spot/location.
The food is always hot, and made to order. The location is very clean and well taken care of. But most of all... THE STAFF ARE SOOOOOOOO SWEET!!!!!
I cannot say enough, always smiling, always up for a little chat or laugh.
Even when my son would go with his friends they come home and say how nice the staff are. Teenagers don't always have the best experiences in my experience, so for these boys to always being saying how nice the staff are shows me they are this kind to EVERYONE!

Lastly... last night was the crazy power outages and wind storm that shut down half of north van. This poor location kept power and must have been the busiest place on the whole north shore hahah... two young ladies working it together and they did such a great job. You could see the leaves everywhere inside the restaurants from the door imply opening, the wind was so wild. They kept it together with a smile on their faces. I hope they are both recognized for their excellent job, under such a stressful situation!

“Visited this afternoon because my girls wanted blizzards. The system was down and debit wasn't working. I offered to go to the gas station next door to the ATM. Gas station didn't have one so I walked to the TD across the street which wasn't working.
When I got back to Dairy Queen the system was working again but I was a little frustrated. Not with the employees in any way. They handled the situation calmly and gracefully. I paid and thanked them and headed out to the car and a young man came after me and gave me a Dilly Bar because I had walked to the bank machine across the street. This was a very kind gesture and absolutely made my night. Thank you to him. It's just a Dilly Bar but the thought behind it meant a lot. Will definitely be back! You have wonderful employees and they deserve recognition for their thoughtfulness!“

I just wanted to give a shout out to the excellent staff this morning, I didn't grab their names unfortunately but it was a middle aged woman and a younger man who both helped me with my order at around 9:40am. They were very engaging, they made me laugh and got me my coffee with a smile on my face. They really went above and beyond and I could tell that they were very positive people. “I had a bake potato that was a bit oily but very delicious. The samosas tasted great inside, with yummy fillings and spices. But the bread outside wasn’t fresh and crispy like it should be.Apart from that, the rest of the food was good. They had lots of tasty dishes to choose from, like yummy curries and rice and different sauces. The people working there were nice . The place was also nice and the service was good, but I didn’t like the bread around the samosas.“
