“Chicken Box is a nice alternative to some of the bigger names in Korean fried chicken. I ordered their yangnyeom (sweet & spicy) chicken and fries for pick-up, and it was ready at the specified time and the staff were friendly. It travelled well and was still crispy/warm when I got home.

Their sweet & spicy flavour unfortunately had no discernible spice and was quite sweet, but I still enjoyed it. However, if I’m in the mood for some spicier yangnyeom next time, I’ll probably need to go elsewhere to satisfy that craving.“

Although the portion size was modest, it was sufficient, and I look forward to indulging in a larger portion on my next visit. “I have been to both Akbar Joojeh in Lonsdale and I love the service and people here the most. Paniz was super nice and patient. It was very crowded and long line but she managed the line and the tables with great attitude and a smile. The food was tasty and great portion. The atmosphere was great. The kitchen staff there were some hard working people and I truly enjoyed my experience there.“

“As a Korean, I seriously need to eat Yangnyeom chicken regularly—you know what I mean? :)
I know Chicko Chicken’s Yangnyeom chicken is actually pretty close to the traditional sweet-style Yangnyeom, but honestly… the quality really depends on each store.
That’s why I’m so happy I found this good Chicko location!

I tried most of Korean chicken joints in the Lower Mainland, and I have to say this one is by far the best. Light crispy batter and juicy chicken. Portion size is great, the flavour is fantastic, cooked to perfection. Their burgers are (very classic) also really good with great tasting patties and soft buns. I am sad. This place is not very close to my home but it's probably a good thing as I would come too often. “Oolala Chicken is way better when you dine in rather than getting takeout or delivery.

I tried the new Machoking flavor (BHC-style Machoking), and it was so good I literally scraped the sauce clean. It officially became my new favourite!! I used to love the mala flavour, but this one took its place.

Sometimes there can be a slight smell with chicken, but ordering strong-flavored options like mala or Machoking really covers it well and makes it much better overall.
Highly recommend dining in for the best experience.“

“Wow the boneless original chicken was just so juicy and light batter, seasoned nicely, so fresh, and easy to eat! The spicy chicken was fairly mild… not quite like buldak spicy… maybe more yangnyeom level… not too spicy or too sweet. Both were sooooo very good. The side dish of pickled daikon cubes was also very tasty. Fully recommend! Also, they have 10% off during happy hour on Monday-Thursday! Would definitely order from them again!“

The chicken miso katsu is a little dry and the miso katsu sauce was served cold. When I had miso katsu in Japan, the sauce doesn't usually come cold.

Overall, the service is very good. They gave us water refills frequently and the servers were all very nice. Great value for price, you come out very full!“

“This place has a non-stop line of people ordering and you can tell why. Their speciality is the Taiwanese style fried chicken leg (boneless) or their Taiwanese salty fried chicken nuggets combo with rice and 3 sides they give you. Before I get into their deliciousness of the chicken, their sides are killer too. They give you a handful of veggies of the day, a thick piece of matinated tofu patty, and soya sauce marinated egg. Protein heaven already. Their chicken is so freshly deep fried, just the right amount of spices, hot, juicy and tender on the inside. Sprinkle some of their red powder on the side if you want more heat. Their portion is huge! They don't skimp out at all! I normally eat 3/4 and pack the rest home. All for $15! Bring cash as with all Richmond vendors!“

“While walking along Robson Street during the holidays, I stopped for lunch at Chicko Chicken. I ordered the Chicko meal with boneless chicken, fries, and a drink. Everything is prepared fresh, so there is a short wait, but it’s worth it. The chicken was juicy inside and crispy outside, and the fries were hot and crisp. Ordered the family Sweet Soy Chicken & Fries Took awhile to prepare the food (15 mins) No wonder ,huge amount of chicken box was packed full. Large pieces very flavorful, not greasy at all like Churches grease feast j chicken . Fries were amazing .I found a new go to place to buy chicken for a game . A tad pricey, buy I assure you very well worth the money . If this place franchises, they will give KFC & Churches very serious condition . My first time there , highly impressed. I highly recommended you try this. Will not be disappointed. Very pleasant staff. Simple decor, but the service & food will amaze you . Thank you so very much for an amazing meal. I did order the 1/4 Chicken breast , medium spicy with a side of regular garlic mash potatoes.The food was delivered on time and tender and testy. “Always fresh, minus the fries. I have always gotten cold limp fries the six times I've gone. Super busy on Saturday, order through the app, expect to wait even if it says it's ready. Cashier's are always super nice even when they're flooded.

Reminder: Order with the app and give it an extra 10 minutes from the time it says it will be ready. Especially on the weekend at dinner time.“
