“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this location for lunch. The service was exceptional and the cuisine was absolutely delightful. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a crunchy exterior and a juicy, flavorful interior. The combination of spicy, sweet, and umami flavors left me craving more. Although the portion size was modest, it was sufficient, and I look forward to indulging in a larger portion on my next visit. While the atmosphere, typical of a fast-food takeout establishment, left something to be desired, the premises were clean and well-maintained.“

“This place seriously impressed me. I came here because a Korean friend recommended it, so I already had pretty high expectations — and somehow it still exceeded them. The sundae (Korean blood sausage) tasted incredibly similar to the ones I had in Korea, very authentic and full of flavor. The pork dishes were also amazing — super tender, juicy, and really well seasoned.

The restaurant itself is pretty small, so we had to wait a while for a table, but honestly it was 100% worth it. If you’re looking for Korean food that actually tastes close to what you’d get in Korea, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try.“

“Food is delicious. Portion size is generous even for the regular size bowl. Staff is always friendly. Orders are always fulfilled fast even in the peak hours. They have reserved parking outside which is great for a fast pickup. I work few minutes away and ordered for pick up few times already - sometimes for me or for the team at the office. Definitely recommend them.“

“Had a really delicious dinner at Toedam! We ordered the King Set ($108) for the family, and we finished everything — the meat was flavorful, tender, and well-seasoned. We also ordered a spicy cold noodle, which was tasty overall, although I found it had a little too little broth.
One tip if you’re ordering for BBQ: I personally wouldn’t recommend the beef short plate here. Since it’s sliced quite thinly, it cooks very quickly and can become dry if you’re not careful. I’d definitely go for thicker cuts for grilling.

Ordered two bbq meat (seasoned rib finger & marinated prime beef rib), spicy soy garlic chicken.

Overall was a good experience for us. Service was quick. Banchan refill were quickly delivered upon request.

The bbq meat, like many bbq Korean joint, determined by how you cooked it.

Spicy soy garlic was good.

Price is on the higher end (expensive).

Men’s toilet was clean.

No music played at premises so patrons can talk easily.“

“During our stay in Vancouver, we ate at multiple Michelin-starred / recommended restaurants, yet Dolsot was up there with one of our favorites. We got the hot stone bibimbap and soon tofu stew to start, and they were both delicious. Eating the food took me back to my time in Seoul. We also had to try to kimbap as dessert, and it was great. Highly recommend going to Dolsot for a taste of Korean home cooking.“

I literally haven't found a place that matches my palate as much as this place. Not just that, they are not stingy with their food! If you want seafood tofu soup, you GET seafood tofu soup. It's jam packed with goodies in the soup. Their seafood pancake is 🤤 not just a whole bunch of green onion and flour but an actual SEAFOOD pancake. And the servers, omg, they are fantastic. Every single one of them. They don't pressure you and just really let you enjoy your company. And our guy, I'm sorry I don't know your name! But you are always so delightful, happy and warm. You definitely make the experience better.“

“Great spot to enjoy both Korean and Japanese food in one place! The absolute highlight was the Tuna Kimbap unlike typical tuna kimbap made with canned tuna, this one uses fresh raw tuna with crab meat and sesame oil. It was super unique and delicious! The Lunch Sashimi Bento was very neat and fresh as well. Staff were super friendly too. Highly recommended!“

“I’ve been here several times and it’s always been fantastic, however I do not recommend coming with a large group.

The food has always been delicious and drinks are good too, but the service was horrendous for a larger group. It took forever to get any service, staff would make eye contact with us when we tried to wave them over, and then just ignore us. There were a lot of staff available just loitering around the bar area and did not come to our aid.

It took a very long time for us to get our bills, and when they finally took it they charged many of us twice or even thrice. Some of us tried to tell the waitress that the first transaction went through, but they insisted we pay again because they got an error on their end. Just a reminder to maybe check your bank statement after to make sure this didn’t happen to you. I don’t think it was on purpose, but still frustrating to deal with.

Other than that the food was delicious. Sooda box remains one of my fav dishes and their cheese corn is great.“

The kimbap rice was perfectly cooked not too soft or mushy and each roll was generously filled with a variety of ingredients, making every bite delicious and satisfying. The tteokbokki had a great chewy texture, and the sauce was flavorful without being overwhelmingly spicy, pairing perfectly with the kimbap.
Highly recommend the Tuna Chili Kimbap and the Deep Fried Shrimp Kimbap! Will definitely be coming back again“

If you come for lunch, I really like their Han sang, which comes with 12 small tasting dishes on a tray. I also really enjoy their soondubu jjigae and seafood pancake!“

“🌱🇰🇷 A Happy Vegan Find in a Korean Restaurant! 😃

I came to Chibop after discovering their vegan ramyeon combo, and I was so excited to see a Korean restaurant with a dedicated plant-based section on the menu! 🌱💚 They even sell vegan kimchi — which honestly made my vegan heart very happy. 🥹

I ordered the combo with:

🍜 Ra-myeon — 100% plant-based broth with noodles, onions, and green onions.
🥢 Spinach Vegan Kimbap — spinach, cucumber, carrots, yellow pickled radish, bell peppers, burdock, and savory seasoned tofu.

At first, I wondered if I was being a little ambitious ordering both.
😂 But the fresh veggie kimbap was surprisingly light and easy to eat, and the ramen bowl looked a little smaller than I expected (compared to the photos 😉), so thankfully I was able to finish everything. 😋

Bonus points: they were playing K-pop songs while I enjoyed my meal. 🎶✨ A vegan Korean meal with K-pop in the background? Yes please. 😂

I’m so thankful that Chibop offers plant-based options because it makes enjoying Korean food so much easier for vegans. I really enjoyed my meal here, and I’m definitely curious to come back and try their other vegan dishes! 🌱💚“

“I first went to Pidgin when it first opened. I got there again last night and regret not getting back there sooner! The Asian-French flavours were beyond fantastic. We covered a slew of dishes on the a la carte menu and everything was so mouth-watering that we wanted to order everything all over again (except we were so full). One member of our dining group said it was the best meal he had had in Vancouver in years! Thanks for a great meal last night and getting our group in at the last minute.“

“Seen many Korean street side chicken places on You Tube. Decided to give this a try for the first time . Went to the location on Canada Way. Ordered the family Sweet Soy Chicken & Fries Took awhile to prepare the food (15 mins) No wonder ,huge amount of chicken box was packed full. Large pieces very flavorful, not greasy at all like Churches grease feast j chicken . Fries were amazing .I found a new go to place to buy chicken for a game . A tad pricey, buy I assure you very well worth the money . If this place franchises, they will give KFC & Churches very serious condition . My first time there , highly impressed. I highly recommended you try this. Will not be disappointed. Very pleasant staff. Simple decor, but the service & food will amaze you . Thank you so very much for an amazing meal. We normally come in a group of 4 and get the deluxe set to share, which comes with a large variety of bbq and non-bbq items and is more than enough for each of us to feel stuffed by the end of the meal. Remember to ask for the cold noodles since they’re included in the deluxe set but need to be requested separately. You can ask for it during any time of your meal, but we prefer to have it early on.“
