“I’ve been ordering Korean meals from Banchansu for a little over four weeks and it’s been amazing every time. I’m very picky, and my mom—born and raised in Korea—set a high bar for me, so I’m usually hesitant to order Korean food. Banchansu changed that. The flavors are authentic and delicious, and I look forward to every meal. The staff are caring and kind, too. Thank you for meals that taste like my mom’s cooking.“

“Tried Chicko Chicken in New Westminster and it was delicious. My daughter tried the cheese snow and I had Soy Gangjung flavour it was fresh, perfect crisp outside and juicy with great flavour inside. Portion is also generous. Great spot if you crave for Korean Food.

“This small and local mom and pop shop is just simply the best. This is my second time going in person to order take out and they remember me still even from 4 months apart of ordering.
For the price of what we pay, it is for sure worth the money. They don’t skim on your portions or your tastebuds. Best place to consider for your take out reasons!!!
I will keep on going here !!!“

“Every order is made fresh, so you might be in for a 10-20 minute wait, but boy is it ever worth it!
The Crispy Chicken Sandwich: Very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Great flavour, not greasy. Perfectly seasoned. Made with whole meat chicken breast. I had to squish down the sandwich to get it in my mouth. Good quality bun and the lettuce leaf was crisp. I suspect they might be using an egg-yolk only mayo as it tasted rich. I really liked that.
The bacon cheeseburger with extra patty: Deliciously smashed with a great crust, perfect seasoning and juicy. It was a little messy but so good! Good quality bun and the lettuce leaf was crisp.
The fries were piping hot with a crispy battered exterior and fluffy interior. Remained crispy even after cooling down.
Original Korean Fried Chicken (small): Made with boneless-skinless chicken thighs, this was also juicy too and very crispy on the outside.
Every fried item had a clean fresh flavour, so you can tell their oil isn’t old.
The tables and chairs were clean and arranged neatly. Lots of seating options. The place looked like a family run restaurant with nice touches of flowers at the entrance, in the windows and on the walls.
It’s a hidden gem, so I’m glad google maps and the sandwich board sign helped me find the restaurant! The door faces the street and you have to walk to the NW corner of the building, as it’s not obvious.
The staff were friendly and very good at what they did and I would 100% recommend this place and go back in the future.“

“gem! The staff are so lovely all the time and they change their frying oil every day which is not typical at a lot of places. The chicken is always crisp and juicy and has more chicken than batter. I love the chibab bowl, really delicious and affordable meal. Thank you guys !“

“This place serves delicious, incredibly fresh, healthy and unique kimbaps that you don’t see elsewhere. We stopped by for a snack and tried the “keto” kimbap with tuna and it was delicious - you don’t miss the rice at all. The tangy white kimchi wrap paired well with the tuna mayo, egg and other veggie ingredients. The service was super friendly and the shop is clean and cozy. I will definitely come back to try their other kimbaps and dishes.“

“This is a friendly and casual neighborhood k-bbq spot! They have great set menus with lots of variety, great happy hour discounts, and the staff are always friendly. They always have fun kpop music playing in the background. We come here about twice per month and will keep coming for the great bbq sets. If there's a lineup, we just go over to bbq-chicken next door for a beer while we wait.“

“This gem is a must try! The restaurant is a bit small but the food is pretty darn good. We loved everything from bibimbap, kimbap and most of all we loved the carbonara. Never thought we would enjoy carbonara in a Korean place but the chef apparently specialized in Italian cuisine in Korea. Daniel the chef is a genuinely nice guy and great with my toddler. Will come back again. I highly recommend this place!“

“A must-try Korean dining experience if you’re in the Brentwood area. The sooda platter is quite unique and comes in a generous portion. We didn’t expect the size and ended up ordering a hot pot, a sooda box, and a few other dishes. It turned out to be very filling, but the food concept is fun and different. Overall, great vibe and worth trying.“

“Peaceful, food is delicious but vanished too quickly, because I ate it too fast
The soup container is much bigger than it seems
And the soup itself is not excessively salty
Love the cucumber slices and whatever the orange stuff is“

“The food is made from the heart and it's delicious! I had the bulgogi beef kimbap and the corn and avocado yubu which seemed so simple and yet had a great flavour. It definitely feels like my mom made it. Thanks for a wonderful food experience, I will be back!“

“We’ve been back several times in a short period after discovering this restaurant, and every single dish we tried was amazing! We had the kimbap dishes, spicy pork, jjamppong, and soondubu stew. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of my food, but everything was seriously so delicious 😭 The quality honestly tasted just like the food I used to have in Korea.
I even brought my family here, and since some of my family members are vegan, choosing restaurants can sometimes be a bit limiting. But this place had so many vegan options to choose from, and everyone ended up loving their meal. I felt so happy and proud that I brought them here!
Sadly the only photos I have are of the vegan dishes, but we will 10000% be coming back again. Also, their kkakdugi and garlic stem side dishes are SO good. Perfect with a bowl of white rice!!“

“Tried the plain fried chicken, fried very well, crispy outside and juicy inside, and not greasy at all. It could use a bit more seasoning in the marinade to boost the flavor.
Take-out only, and the staff were very polite and friendly.“

“We visited with our family on Mother’s Day, and it was honestly the best choice we could have made. The service was incredibly fast and friendly, and every dish we ordered was amazing.
The Yuringi was absolutely outstanding, perfectly crispy with an incredible sauce balance. It’s honestly so hard to find this level of Yuringi in Vancouver. I heard the chef recently came from Korea, and the quality of the food is truly on another level.
The baby octopus jjamppong was also unforgettable: rich, flavorful, and packed with smoky wok aroma. Everything tasted authentic and carefully made. We’ll definitely be coming back again!“

“Amazing quality for such an unbelievably affordable price!
The kimbap rice was perfectly cooked not too soft or mushy and each roll was generously filled with a variety of ingredients, making every bite delicious and satisfying. The tteokbokki had a great chewy texture, and the sauce was flavorful without being overwhelmingly spicy, pairing perfectly with the kimbap.
Highly recommend the Tuna Chili Kimbap and the Deep Fried Shrimp Kimbap! Will definitely be coming back again“

“If I could give Galbi Korean BBQ 6 stars, I would.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We went on a Sunday night and expected a wait, it was about 45 minutes but absolutely worth it. We ordered the Chef’s BBQ Combo D, and it was more than enough for all of us to leave completely full. They continuously refilled our sides and sauces, so we were never without anything. Everything felt clean, organized, and really well run.
My personal favourites were the marinated beef short rib, the fresh salad, bean paste soup, scallion salad, and the cheesy corn — all so flavourful and perfectly done.
This is hands down one of the best spots to come with your partner or a group, where you can relax, cook together, and actually enjoy the experience as much as the food. We’ll 100% be coming back. 🔥🥩“

“Seen many Korean street side chicken places on You Tube. Decided to give this a try for the first time . Went to the location on Canada Way. Ordered the family Sweet Soy Chicken & Fries Took awhile to prepare the food (15 mins) No wonder ,huge amount of chicken box was packed full. Large pieces very flavorful, not greasy at all like Churches grease feast j chicken . Fries were amazing .I found a new go to place to buy chicken for a game . A tad pricey, buy I assure you very well worth the money . If this place franchises, they will give KFC & Churches very serious condition . My first time there , highly impressed. I highly recommended you try this. Will not be disappointed. Very pleasant staff. Simple decor, but the service & food will amaze you . Thank you so very much for an amazing meal. I will definitely will be returning . Added a picture, this is after 3 people eating Big pieces and loads left ... Go visit this place . You won't regret it !!!“

“My husband I were looking for something quick but good. This was our first time being to this place. The gentleman that took our order was very nice and helped us decide on what to get. We both ordered the Original chicken meal that came with a drink as well and it was only $13.99. The portion amount was really good for the price. The chicken was hot and fresh plus the fries were crispy the way I like it. We will definitely go back again.“

“Even though they offer a huge variety of dishes, every menu item tastes like it came from a specialty restaurant. The tonkatsu was even crispier and more delicious than at many dedicated tonkatsu places, and I also recommend their signature jokbal and makguksu set.
Personally, I’m disappointed that the Spicy Braised Monkfish dish is no longer on the menu. It was better than any agujjim I’ve had anywhere in Vancouver.“

“Tried this Korean restaurant today and had a really great experience.
The place itself looks a bit old and worn down, but it was full of Korean customers, which already felt like a good sign. It definitely has that long-running, authentic vibe.
We ordered the Dak-galbi and Haemul Pajeon. The chicken was super flavorful and well marinated. The melted cheese, corn, and steamed egg on the side were all really good as well. The seafood pancake didn’t have a huge amount of seafood, but it was nice and crispy, which made it really enjoyable.
The side dishes were also a highlight, including potatoes, pickled radish, bean sprouts, and kimchi. Everything tasted great, and they offer refills, which is always a big plus.
We also got a bottle of Korean beer to go with the meal, and it paired perfectly. Overall, a very satisfying and authentic Korean food experience.“

“It was my first time coming to OZ Korean BBQ. They had really good authentic Korean food. The server Jinnie was very sweet, kind and super respectful and made me feel welcomed as it was my first time here and I couldn’t have felt happier to have her as my waiter. It’s a great spot to come and study because the ambience and vibe is super chill and plays very mellow Korea music. I had a great conversation with Jinnie even after the restaurant closed. It was sweet of Jinnie to let me stay and chat with her for a bit before leaving. I’ll definitely be coming back here to study and eat more delicious and authentic foods!!“

“I would like to review Tokki restaurant in the Henderson mall food court. I've been here more than 10 times, I love their Jjolmyun.
This time I ordered Jjolmyun and chicken curry.
Jjolmyun: it's maybe the best jjolmyun in Vancouer. The balance of cabbage, noodle, sauce with other condiments is just perfect. This is 10/10
Chicken curry: my wife ordered it for her dinner. Curry was rich and chicken katsu was well-fried. I had a bite and I also liked it. This is probably for my children when I visit again.
Overall, I wish I live around here and come 3 times a week. I definitely recommend to everyone.“

“Some of the best chicken wings in Vancouver! I order from here quite often and they’re always delicious. It’s a bit sad to see a low rating, but I honestly think it’s mostly because of the location , the place is small and there isn’t much seating. I usually order for takeout, and it’s always a great experience!“

“We got Army stew, the fried tteokbokki, cheese balls and fried dumplings. So good, the amount is definitely more than enough for 2 people or perfect for 3. I felt like the dumplings could have been tastier (alittle more salt, more scallions) but that might just be my personal preference. Staff were very friendly and we went at a good quiet time, interesting decos too (star wars and stuff).“

“My boyfriend and I have been coming to Deji Pork Cutlet House since we first started dating six years ago. It’s been our favourite spot since.
The kimchi fried rice is hands down the best I’ve ever had. I actually tried to find something similar while traveling through Korea, and nothing even came close. The kimchi pork cutlet with cheese and spicy sauce is our go-to comfort meal. The kimchi stew is another standout for us. super thick, tangy, and incredibly satisfying, especially on a cold day. I’ve ordered it takeout so many times to my work halfway across town, and it’s always filling and such a great price.
Even the spicy macaroni, which you wouldn’t expect, is amazing, I absolutely love it.
But what really makes this place special is the owners. They are such kind, genuine people. Even though I don’t speak Korean, I love listening to my boyfriend chat with them, and they always take the time to check in and make us feel so welcome. It’s rare to find a place that feels this personal and warm. ❤️
I even spent one of my birthdays here, and the owners surprised me with a gift. That moment alone says everything about the kind of people they are.
This place has such a special spot in my heart. Incredible food, comforting meals, and truly wonderful people. I can’t recommend it enough.“

- Jajangmeon tasted great
- Shrimp Fried Rice was just how I liked it
- Tangsuyuk portion was massive!
- Deepfried Dumplings had the perfect crunch
- Half/Half steamed dumplings, delicious!
*Although the Tangsuyuk sauce tasted great, the sauce was not thick and quite watery*“

“I would get the volcano roll again. Came with a small spicy sashimi salad instead of chopped on top of the roll which was nice. Wouldn’t do the nigiri set although it’s fine and decent value. Takoyaki was good. Basic roll like Cali, dynamite and yam were to expectation.“

“I come to this restaurant often. I’ve had steamed monkfish at other places, but it’s the best here because it has plenty of thick, meaty pieces. I also used to like their fried flounder, but one time it had an old oil smell, so I haven’t ordered it again since.“

“One of the best Korean restaurants I have tried so far ⭐️ Absolutely delicious!! It’s insanely good. I was surprised by how rich and flavorful the soup of the tteok Mandu guk was. The portion size was big and there’s a generous amount of strips of brisket which were also tasty. The carbonara tteokbokki was delicious and had a decent portion, the flavor just exploded in my mouth. You can taste the perfect balance of cheese and the spices. The sauce was just soo good.
I still remember the flavor and I’m craving for it! Highly recommend! The staff was also attentive and friendly.“

“The beef bone soup tastes good. It is tasty with chewable beef.
Scallion fried chicken is yummy, crispy but not greasy outside, juicy inside.
Bibimbap is also good with a refreshing after taste.
Pig’s trotter is well marinated, but it’s a bit spicy for me. It’s still yummy.
The server is polite, wearing smile.
I think I will go back again. And the appetisers were refilled generously.“

“I ordered here for my party, and everyone loved it. The chicken was incredibly juicy, flavorful, crispy and just really delicious overall. We got the Yangyeom, Cheese Snow and Soy Garlic flavors based on the staff’s recommendation since they said those were the most popular, and they did not disappoint. All of them were amazing. Their fries were also very crispy and flavorful
What made the experience even better was the service. We came during rush hour, but the staff were still so friendly, patient, and helpful in suggesting what to order. They took the time to help us choose, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Definitely recommend this place.“
