“Love coming here!! The owner is so sweet and kind and their naengmyeon is the best I’ve tried around the Vancouver area. Their broth is so rich and flavourful, not sour or too sweet like other places. My mom got the omurice and I would definitely recommend that as well. ? ?“
“I’ve eaten a lot of Korean food at various Korean restaurants in the lower mainland and Insadong is by far the best! Speedy service, friendly staff, side dishes are plentiful, and the overall cuisine/bbq is superb! Best Korean cuisine in the lower mainland! Quantity and price are the best in the lower mainland!“
“This is your typical Korean chicken place. Serving was proportionate to the price except for the Tokbokki which was few.Chicken servings are good for 2-3, but need to order at least 2 different flavors so there’s more than enough for everyone.Atmosphere is “k-drama-ish” which is cool. Good for conversation and drinks plus it’s located in a Korean complex with H Mart. Will definitely dine again.“
“You can't even comprehend how amazing this food is, seriously juicy amazing chicken with the most crispy crust on the outside. The staffer are always so friendly, one mistake I should have gotten the cilantro spicy sauce to dip this in because I had it last time and it was absolutely mind blowingly delicious!!! ?? The prices are unbelievably reasonable for how amazing their food/chicken is. I'm sad that they're not open on Wednesdays/ chicken wing Wednesdays here would be my all-time favorite go-to!“
“Tried this place the other day and it was pretty good! Not many items on the menu that you can choose from but overall the taste was delicious. Especially the red bean soup and the corn cheese was so good. Like many Korean restaurants there are variety of side dishes that come with the meal and the portions for each one was generous too! Would recommend to come as a big group tho!“
“We ordered for 2 people, we were full and satisfied. We got Combo A (Fishcake soup, topokki, mini kimbap) and Half & Half Dumplings (pork and kimchi). Everything was so good! The free side dishes including kimchi and pickled radish were really delicious as well. We ate everything till nothing was left on each plate. The price was reasonable too and the service was high quality. Will definitely come back to try other dishes!“
“It is hard to find the restaurants which serve fresh sea foods around this area.As we ate at Bambada, we all were satisfied with the freshness of sea foods. All family members including my daughter were happy with foods and the quiet atmosphere. We will be regulars!!“
“Great place, awesome food! The crab cake benedicts are my favorite. Love that the patio is usually fairly shady so we always stop by whenever we can and it is conveniently close to Mundy Park so we stop before or after our walks to fuel up and rest.“
“Stopped by for a late lunch and it wasn't very busy on the weekend. We were seated promptly at a table. The restaurant is quite large and I can see it being good for large groups. We tried the gogi kalgooksu and sogogi dolsot bibimbap. The banchan was kimchi radish, kimchi, and beansprouts. The gogi kalguksu was tasty. The broth was flavourful and the portion was pretty good, with plenty of veggies and beef. The sogogi dolsot bibimbap had lots of veggies and beef as well. The bowl could have been hotter to crisp up the rice. There were some crispy bits on the very bottom, but I think there could have been more. Overall, it was a satisfying meal and service was good. Food came out fast. If I'm in the area, I would come back to try other items.“
“Finally got around to trying this place! I had the Spicy Ramen on Medium heat.Noodles are obviously housemade (as its advertised) and delicious. The broth is simple but flavoured well! The pork is not chewy and very tender.I love how the egg was perfectly "jammy" in texture. Not runny but not hard boiled.I would come here again if in the area!“
“Not bad at all. In the era of fewer Korean pork cuttlet restaurants, Daeji was only one option to try Korean cuttlet with the various menus. But there are many Japanese style Korean cutlet restaurants in the lower main land currently. Daeji menus are more friendly to Korean abput 40 to 50 ages.I go to the fancy Jap-Kor style cuttlet restaurant, too, but I recommend Daeji if you try the old school with a pork cuttlet with thick gravy sauce instead of fruit based gravy sauce. Also, I like the Kimchi fried rice with a good portion.“
“Very solid Korean style Chinese food restaurant. We liked their Yang Jang Pi which is a cold dish made up of veges and seafood stuff. Also their jajangmyun was pretty nice. This is one of the better Korean Chinese place in Coquitlam center. Parking shouldn’t really be a problem either. Place is not the best for ambience but efficient and clean for what it is.“
“My hubby’s sister came to visit us, she would like to try Korean food. We came across this restaurant. We ordered the pork hocks with oriental herbs, boiled squid, army soup and honey butter chicken. I would strongly recommend the pork hocks, even I’m not a fan of pork hocks but this is one of the best hocks I have tried so far.“
“It is the Korean restaurant serving fried chicken and other cozy Korean food on the corner across from Pappa rotti’s. They had a variety of fried chicken flavors. I got half orders for the original with cheese powder and one with light soy sauce and onions which were safe, nonspicy choices but still good. I also like their sweet chili flavor which is more saucy. The seafood tofu soup is spicy and delicious. The katsu combo was nice to try the different types with my favorite being the fish tonkatsu. The fish was very soft and was perfectly made. Not a huge amount of side dishes were given but was full enough from the several items we ordered.“
“Delicious and authentic kimbap, tastes exactly like the ones I used to have when I lived in S Korea. Ingredients are so fresh and generous. I love the beef kimbap a lot. They served hot broth on the side. Prices are reasonable. We had a good snack for under $20. Definitely check this place out. It’s the real deal!“
“this is a place where you you can feel the actual Korean vibe for drinking Korean rice wine. The food was amazing and makguli, the Korean rice wine, was very good. Also, the staff are super friendly. Highly recommended to visit this place to feel the authentic Korean drinking experience.“
“It was such a fun and delicious experience that it wouldn't be a waste to call it the best restaurant!! The raw fish was really fresh, and the other dishes were cooked incredibly deliciously. If you haven't visited yet, please do so!!“
“This little gem is one of my go to. I would say that they are one of the OG Korean corn dog places before all the chains etc showed up. They have great menu choices at affordable prices. Staff is generally friendly. Food tastes great. I usually try to go to other stalls when I'm having lunch there but I always default back to Tokki.“
“Nothing like warm soup on a cold day. Came here with family & service was quick & efficient. Typical set up of tables and booths located in plaza near Hmart so plenty of parking. Seafood Pancake - this nailed it for the top crispy part of a seafood Pancake but the bottom of pancake was absent or missing. Maybe they were trying for a less heavy pancake but for the price I expected a bit more. Bolgolgi & Octopus Hot Pot - good size for sharing between 2 people and maybe a 3rd with a smaller appetite. Good portion of flavorful beef & octopus. Feel the place should be rated a bit higher than what it is currently.“
“<2024. 02. 26> Added.I came here again at lunchtime today and made bone hangover soup alone. It's delicious as expected. Please give me plenty of meat and beef in the gamjatang. If you eat it with perilla powder sprinkled on top, it’s so delicious you don’t have to go to Korea. You are so good at cooking. The server was also really friendly, which made me feel good. Every time I come. lolStore owner. Chef. Server.May you prosper ~~!___________________________________A place that captures both ‘taste and quantity’.Gamjatang is better than TangmaruThe pork soup is better than the Busan xx soup across the street. The chicken is also better than most places.But... the quantity is large and the cost-effectiveness is very good.I've been coming here for several years and it's nice to see that it hasn't changed. The person working in the kitchen... I don't know your face or name, but you... are really good at cooking. And thank you to the boss for giving us so much~Don’t change!“
“Honestly these guys are the king of fried chicken!! Try all sauses. Especially the soy.Everything made fresh to order and great customer service! We always get 2 kinds of chicken. One soy, and one plain. With all the sauses on the side to try them all. We would often do take out and bring to the park in summer. 10/10 would recommend!“
“I drive all the way from Richmond just to eat here. The portions are so damn big and the food tastes so good. The staff and owners are very friendly and these factors to come together to produce such a pleasant atmosphere.Ordering the combo yields the best value and I'd recommend getting the sauce on the side so you can 1) choose how much you want and 2) can taste but the with/without sauce taste!“
“Yesterday, I visited with friends and ordered half and half chicken and monkfish stew. The steamed monkfish was delicious. However, too much starch was added and the bean sprouts were so dead that you couldn't feel the crunchy texture, but it was delicious.I ordered half and half chicken. The chicken was the worst I've ever tasted in my life, it was too salty and covered in scum with almost no meat.?There is no crunchiness and it is too hard.?All 5 people spoke with the same thoughts. There were 5 of us and we left the chicken behind.I think I should either remove it from the menu or learn the chicken recipe... I will never order chicken from here again.??Ps: (We didn't ask the staff to try the chicken.....I regret that I just left without saying my complaint.“
“I used to go here pretty often with friends before we go see a movie across the street. They serve you plenty of food and they're all pretty good. Unfortunately, the pickled radish aren't free, but if you go with Korean friends, they might be able to get it for the table for free ;)As for the food, I recommend honey garlic fried chicken and kimchi fried rice!“
“Alway get thier special tabom chicken and if you asked them to make the cheese melt more they will blow torch it for you which causes and unexpectedly amazing smoky taste, if you like that type of flavouring. Dak ghalbi is always flavorful and their yogurt plain soju is always an amazing paring with the food. I dont recommend any of the other flavours of soju other than the plain because they dont pair well with the food. Never skip out on adding cheese to any order it always adds flavour like no tomorrow.“
“The meat is soft and very delicious. The staff was friendly and I went there once a month, so they remembered me.Not only meat but also pork is delicious so I recommend it.There was a new menuIt's a thinly sliced pork BBQ for $19, but it comes with the usual small side dishes, sundubu and salad.Personally, I prefer meat and pork BBQ as it is more economical.“
“The dishes arrived piping hot, opt for the stone rice – its hot stone bowl yields a satisfyingly crispy layer at the bottom. While the restaurant's interior is pretty small in size, the quick turnaround and efficient service make for a seamless dining experience. They also renovated recently so it looks more clean and fresh. In my opinion, it stands out as one of the better Korean restaurants for soups. Don't miss the complimentary whole kimchi (it’s amazing).“
“One of my favorite places to go to when craving korean bbq! The food here is absolutely delicious and the server is extremely friendly and kind! The restaurant itself is also clean as well! I highly recommend this place and anyone should come and eat here sometime :)“
