“We met up with a friend here for lunch and it was good. We were seated very quickly when we arrived.
After looking at their menu, at first we were thinking about individual entrees but we saw their whole menu through a QR code and got a Hot Plate to share. I wish they had a physical copy of their Hot Plate menus on the table.
We ordered the Hot Plate Teokbokki, substituted the pork for beef, and added ramen. It was nice how they brought the huge hot plate and had it grilled at our table. We waited a couple minutes to cook before we ate. Our hot plate had so many components: beef, chicken katsu, fish cakes, rice cakes, cheese, corn, steamed egg on the side, gyoza, egg in the center, and green onion.
I loved the fish cakes, beef, and chicken katsu the best. The beef was flavorful and I loved the texture of the chicken katsu. I really liked the corn and melted cheese on the side. Also the banchan on the side were tasty too. There were so many options to choose from since it came with so much, I liked it. Everything was delicious.
We had a good experience here and it's great to share hot plates if you have a small group.“

“This is my go-to place whenever I miss Korean food. The owner is so friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. The bibimbap, in particular, is amazing, and the atmosphere is great too. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, so I’m always satisfied. Since the owner is Korean, it really feels like I’m having a meal back home. The location is convenient and easy to find, so I visit often.“

“Excellent cheap eat! Many offerings. I ordered for pick up and chose the One(sandwich). I was full enough and had my own water. Easy ordering online from my smartphone.
Just adding another order that was delicious! Again, ordered online and selected the Croffle Chicken. Two pieces of fried chicken & two waffles. You have a choice of sauces from hot, spicy, sweet and tangy. Waffles were kinda similar to a churro.“

“Looking forward to the special lunch boxes at Zoomak again. This is one of my regular places we head out to for work lunches and the quality of food and taste is superb. We rotate between getting the short rib and pork boxes and the super authentic jjampong. Service is fast and attentive as always. Will be going again soon with my co workers our favorite repeat restaurant in Gastown.“

“Found the menu a bit confusing but the food is great and restaurant very clean. Service was quick and efficient. If you like spicy, head straight for the "3 Chili" options - as the lower ones aren't spicy at all. Free moo is delicious. Will be back.“

The chef was away for a while, on his return we visited and it was brilliant as usual. I have never been disappointed only always impressed beyond my expectations. Welcome back Chef Han!“

“I don't know why the rating is only around 3 points...
The staff were very friendly, and the side dishes were refillable, so I ate them for a very reasonable price! It was my favorite place 10 years ago, and I was still satisfied with it so I was happy ❤️“

“This is my first review since I came to Vancouver for a few months.
I miss Korean food, so I've been to a lot of Korean restaurants, but this is my favorite restaurant ?
Service and taste are everything!
At first, I went to drink soju with a friend.
For snacks, I ordered tofu cheese salad, pork cutlet, and grilled pollack roe.
But everything was so delicious and the owner was friendly, so I went for drinks a few times after that.
Whenever I want to eat Korean food, I order takeout or delivery, and I was impressed after eating "Kimchi Jjigae" ??
It was much more delicious than the kimchi stew I had in Korea. The depth of the soup was different.. The quality of the meat was also good.
I'm sad that I'm leaving Vancouver soon.
If I had known about Lorimomo a little earlier, I would have gone more often.
I recommend all the menu items I've tried: kimchi stew, Namsan pork cutlet, kimchi oden udon, and tofu cheese salad??“

“? Makgeolli and Jeon: A Perfect Pairing at Mapo ?
Visiting Mapo Pancake House in Yaletown at 10 PM was a delightful experience. The Assorted Jeon platter was exceptional, offering a variety of flavors and textures that were both satisfying and delicious. ?
To complement the meal, I ordered the Makgeolli Sampler, which included Original, Chestnut, Citron, and Green Grape flavors. Each variant provided a unique taste, enhancing the overall dining experience. ?
The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for late-night dining. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant visit. ?
I'm looking forward to returning to try their Seafood Green Onion Pancake, as it comes highly recommended. Mapo Pancake House is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Korean pancakes in Vancouver. ?“

“Have been to this location many times and the chicken is always consistently juicy and fresh.I got the half and half; soy garlic and yangnyeom fried chicken with shake fries. The portion of the fries was quite little so I recommend skipping those. But the chicken portion is pretty decent.“

“This is by far my favorite food truck but I go out of my way to come to its location during work hours and it's rarely ever there! Unfortunately my lunch break is not earlier in your hours so I generally get there around 1:15 or 1:20 and by that point you either were never there at all or you've left early. It's very frustrating to come all of that way so many times and not get to eat there.“

“We went in for family dinner. The restaurant is under new management since the beginning of September. Tteokbokki and corn cheese were a match made in heaven. Regular chicken was delicious and crispy, and yangnyeom chicken was just right for us. (not too spicy) Each table were equipped with ordering tablet which were self explanatory. Definitely will visit again.“

“Takeaway spicy seafood noodles and fried noodles
The portion of seafood noodles is large, which may be just right for two girls to eat together.
The seafood noodles are full of aroma and the soup is rich and delicious. It's still delicious when you take it home and the texture of the noodles doesn't get worse.
The spiciness is just right for Taiwanese, and it tastes better than the noodles I had in Seoul before. There is no such delicious Korean food in Tainan.
A good choice after getting tired of hamburger pizza“

“This place is quaint, very cozy (get to know the table beside you), and popping with K-pop. The fried chicken is super fresh, tender, and crunchy, with all the right flavors. Spice is life, and the food here can be spicy! Service is very friendly, we always joke with the hosts, the cooks, and/or the owners. If I could speak Korean, I would sit and chat with the staff here all day. They have beer! By the pint and pitcher! Parking is rare, so carpool or walk/bike/bus. Always happy to come back.“

“Their fried chicken is always so crunchy and yummy! Now I see the promotion lunch and the choices are not bad too.
Parking: The free parking lots are a bit narrow, and not too many lots too. There are street parking right on Kingsway so all good.“

They’re busy when I came to buy half order of original chicken for my lunch but I’m glad that I was informed about the waiting time and suggested to order by phone next time to save time as their waiting may range from 10 to 25 mins.“

“Reliable for simple and satisfying homestyle Korean food. Nothing blows me away but everything is good and flavourful. The meals all include lots of vegetables which I appreciate, and things aren't overly oily. There's no atmosphere to speak of and I think they probably have more takeout than dine-in customers, but having done both, dine-in is the way to go, because the food comes out super fresh. The people who work there are nice and hardworking.“

“UPDATE: this restaurant seems to have changed owners twice now since my last review, unfortunate that this place wasn’t recognized when it was so great. Now just an average Korean-Chinese restaurant.
It's blasphemy that this place is rated under 4 stars. They serve the best black bean noodle in Vancouver. They make the noodles on location and are low key the best noodle shop on Robson, which is saying a lot consider all the ramen shops that are there and Danbo being beside it no less.
Korean-Chinese cuisine is essentially the pizza of Korea, brought to the port city of Incheon by Chinese immigrants from Shandong in the 19th century.
Try the black bean noodle with freshly stir-fried black bean sauce (*Gan* Jja Jang) with some of their sweet and sour pork (Tang su yuk) for the full experience.
Ramen has been getting all the attention in Vancouver, it's time Jja Jang Myeon has gotten its day.“

“Stopped by Pelicana Chicken recently, and it was such a good choice! The place has this cozy, inviting vibe with fun decor that showcases their Korean roots. I went for a chicken bowl, and wow—it was amazing. The fried chicken was crispy and packed with flavor, and the noodles were perfect alongside it. Loved the mix of corn and veggies, too; it made the whole dish feel balanced and fresh. Honestly, it was one of those meals where every bite is satisfying. Can’t wait to come back for more!“

“We had to make last minute plans to stay at a hotel for a night and ordered here through Door Dash.
I got the half chicken sweet and spicy.
My wife ordered the Soy Garlic boneless (2 for 1 deal).
And 2 Large of the pickled radish.
Absolutely perfect!
Great crunchy bread coating, tender juicy chicken, and not too much of the sauce or spice.
I didn't find any small broken bone pieces that most places leave in. It's like they took time to prep the chicken beforehand and did it very meticulously.
The radish were perfect and not too heavy on the sweet side leaving the radish and vinegar to shine on this. Cuts through to cleanse the pallette as they say.
The Kimchi fried rice had a nice heat to it and has been the best I've had, even when I was stationed in Korea!
I wish they'd have one here because the one at the Korean market by our house...well...it'd be shut down if K One were in town.“

“This place deserves a 4.5. The fish is fresh and tasty. We had a crunch roll that was very good, a sashimi 15-piece sampler with some excellent hamachi and toro (and more) and also aburi sushi, which was excellent. Service is fine, there is no atmosphere but the food makes this place worth your time.“

“For the price, it’s a solid snack that satisfies. I had the cheddar corndog, but I think the regular beef corndog might have been a better choice, as the cheddar hotdog was quite rich. The exterior/dough was wonderfully crunchy and savory. Plus, the option to customize the sauce adds an interesting touch.“

“Food is fantastic and very worth the price. Only issue I have is that it feels constantly understaffed. Best bet is to order ahead for pickup to minimize wait time, especially if you're on a lunch break.

“The food here is so delicious and made with care. I've been to the restaurant in person and ordered delivery and in both cases felt really good about the service and how they care for clients. My delivery included free pop and pickeled raddish as well as plastic gloves that help with having clean hands after eating. Very much appreciate the little thoutful actions. “As an appetizer, I ordered grilled mackerel, army soup, and seolleongtang. I enjoyed it so much because it tasted like Korea. The grilled mackerel was just the right amount of oil and really delicious, and the budae stew had plenty of ingredients so I was full. The seolleongtang was also filled with meat and glass noodles. I recommend it“

“Wonderful place to try on an impromptu getaway to Vancouver. We did the tasting menu, and loved the flavors of the miso cured sablefish especially. The roasted pear for dessert was also a highlight. The owner explained several of the dishes and the sake menu to us, and was a delight to talk to.“
