“A very good Resturant
Atmosphere is great. Comfortable and not smoky or u feel I have to change cloths right afterward
They do have a locker for guest to use to store your stuff which is great.
High end decoration with few table serving 4-6 guests, a semi private partitioned table for somen privacy if needed
We sit at the U shaped bar table where each guest have their own bbq set. Pretty good and clean.
Staff a very nice and helpful and explain each steps needed and even help u cook if needed

We are here on a week day dinner and not busy. Heard they are always full in weekend so plan ahead

One thing is they told us that after 8pm each night it’s happy hour where the food have special pricing discount like 50% off or buy 2 get 1 free, even for drinks.

Food are top quality beef and no don’t they are best meet from Japan

We ordered the biggest plate for sharing and it’s pretty enough for us. For some heavy eater, I guess can order a plate for 2 people and order other side dishes

“Best experience in a restaurant in a long time! Walked in and there was a wait. No issues. They worked around and we were seated within 5 minutes. The man who sat us, went over the menu and made suggestions. We followed, but got roasted pork, soy sauce chicken, bbq pork fried rice, and Chinese broccoli. Walked out happy and full. This ended up being our destination in Vancouver. Eating leftovers tonight.“

The soy chicken and snowy chicken were both delicious and full of flavor. The original fried chicken was a bit bland for my personal taste, but it was still cooked well.

What impressed me most was how crispy the chicken stayed. Even after the 10-minute drive home, the fried chicken was still crunchy and juicy, which isn't always easy to achieve with takeout.

Overall, a great experience, and I'll definitely be ordering again.“

“The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is a little bit of a hole in the wall, so I'd recommend getting takeout, but we decided to eat in. Even though we arrived close to closing time, they were still very accommodating and made us feel welcome.

“We ordered take out twice and dined in this past month. All of our experiences with this restaurant have been positive. Service was fantastic. Greeted warmly and given our choice of seating. Food was ready in a timely manner and very tasty. We ordered the beef brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich - small size - and the portions were generous. The baked beans were smoky and delicious. The potato salad was also tasty. My beef was tender and the BBQ sauce was so good we bought bottles to take home. The staff was also flexible in amending my order which I greatly appreciated. It is located downtown squamish in a good sized space with lots of light. Very clean and relaxing atmosphere. “A great K-BBQ option that won’t take a bite out of your wallet. A branch of the OG Chosun Kalbi (near Boundary and Kingsway) so you know the formula has stood the test of time. There wasn’t an overly wide assortment of side dishes but the ones they did provide were very good. I would best categorize it as a go-to BBQ that doesn’t charge a premium for being K-trendy. An understated highly recommend.“

“Really satisfying late night BBQ spot. We ordered a mix of skewers, plus a few dishes. Everything was pretty good. The lamb skewers were juicy, well seasoned, and had that proper charcoal grilled flavor without being overly salty.
The fried rice was really good too, very smoky and flavorful with generous portions of meat throughout. We also tried the spicy hot tripe, which had a lot of flavor without tasting overly oily.
The atmosphere felt lively and casual, exactly the kind of place you want for late night food with friends. Definitely a place I’d come back to when craving skewers and BBQ food.“

“Friendly staff and very knowledgeable in their line of products. They gave us a lot of advices since we were buying seafood to bring to our family who lives oversea. They offered to help us keep them in the tanks until closer to the time we fly and we really appreciated it. Their prices are relatively cheaper than most markets so check it out if you need to buy bulks of seafood.“

“This place is one of my favourite Vancouver meat shops since the 70s. Any kid who grew up in an asian family around that time had parents who came here on weekends. It has enormous personal nostalgic memories. The big reason is their meats.

Even though we’re eating healthier these days, if I want something from the past. This is the place I’ll go to. The store is typical for a chinese butcher meat shop. I was impressed by their cleanliness upon a recent visit but regardless I get what they are all about. Not modern or pretentious with ridiculous prices. But old school quality and prices are reasonable.

Flavours are still spot on and the staff are friendly and kind. I miss places like this and will continue to support them! Thank you Dollar Meat Store.“
