“A very good Resturant
Atmosphere is great. Comfortable and not smoky or u feel I have to change cloths right afterward
They do have a locker for guest to use to store your stuff which is great.
High end decoration with few table serving 4-6 guests, a semi private partitioned table for somen privacy if needed
We sit at the U shaped bar table where each guest have their own bbq set. Pretty good and clean.
Staff a very nice and helpful and explain each steps needed and even help u cook if needed

We are here on a week day dinner and not busy. Heard they are always full in weekend so plan ahead

One thing is they told us that after 8pm each night it’s happy hour where the food have special pricing discount like 50% off or buy 2 get 1 free, even for drinks.

Food are top quality beef and no don’t they are best meet from Japan

We ordered the biggest plate for sharing and it’s pretty enough for us. For some heavy eater, I guess can order a plate for 2 people and order other side dishes

Food was ready in a timely manner and very tasty. We ordered the beef brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich - small size - and the portions were generous. The baked beans were smoky and delicious. The potato salad was also tasty. My beef was tender and the BBQ sauce was so good we bought bottles to take home. The staff was also flexible in amending my order which I greatly appreciated. It is located downtown squamish in a good sized space with lots of light. Very clean and relaxing atmosphere. Great prices. Great service. Great food. It has become one of our favorite restaurants!“

“Really satisfying late night BBQ spot. We ordered a mix of skewers, plus a few dishes. Everything was pretty good. The lamb skewers were juicy, well seasoned, and had that proper charcoal grilled flavor without being overly salty.
The fried rice was really good too, very smoky and flavorful with generous portions of meat throughout. We also tried the spicy hot tripe, which had a lot of flavor without tasting overly oily.
The atmosphere felt lively and casual, exactly the kind of place you want for late night food with friends. Definitely a place I’d come back to when craving skewers and BBQ food.“

“As I stepped out of Chinatown BBQ and into the cruel, indifferent sunlight, a profound sense of foreboding washed over me. The door closed behind me with a finality usually reserved for funeral processions. I had just experienced culinary transcendence, and now I was doomed.

With each and every bite of the crispy pork, I experienced waves of pure joy washing over me like a child experiencing his first Christmas. I was consumed by a rhapsodic delight the likes of which I’ve never known. Every crispy, succulent morsel sent me spiraling into euphoria. Because at some point, I will have to eat again.

And how, pray tell, is any future meal supposed to compete with the standard that has now been permanently seared into my soul? Will I spend the rest of my days chasing that sense of joy, forever haunted by ghosts of perfectly charred meat and transcendent sauces?

I fear my words may never fully capture the melancholic existential crisis now consuming me. Chinatown BBQ didn’t just serve dinner. It ruined all other restaurants for me. And I would happily doom myself again in a heartbeat.“

The food was really good each and every time we came by for dinner. Flavors were bold and punchy, which our family likes. Portion sizes were fair to generous, so be prepared to eat alot. The fried chicken in soy flavor is our favorite dish. Chicken pieces were cut to proper sizes and tender. We also ordered the crispy pork belly and that was also top notch (we just wished the portions were a little bigger on this dish)

My brother got the Gamjatang soup and he said the meat was very tender and soup base was flavorful. While I got the Soontofu Jeegae (soft tofu soup) and it always hits the spot. I don't really eat spicy, so I asked the waitress to make it a little more mild for me)

We came by for dinner on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. Even then, we only waited about 5 mins to be seated. Service was quick and efficient, even though they seemed to be a little under staffed. Overall, this place serves authentic Korean food that can be enjoyed individually or as a group.“

“Friendly staff and very knowledgeable in their line of products. They gave us a lot of advices since we were buying seafood to bring to our family who lives oversea. They offered to help us keep them in the tanks until closer to the time we fly and we really appreciated it. Their prices are relatively cheaper than most markets so check it out if you need to buy bulks of seafood.“

“This place is one of my favourite Vancouver meat shops since the 70s. Any kid who grew up in an asian family around that time had parents who came here on weekends. It has enormous personal nostalgic memories. The big reason is their meats.

Even though we’re eating healthier these days, if I want something from the past. This is the place I’ll go to. The store is typical for a chinese butcher meat shop. I was impressed by their cleanliness upon a recent visit but regardless I get what they are all about. Not modern or pretentious with ridiculous prices. But old school quality and prices are reasonable.

Flavours are still spot on and the staff are friendly and kind. I miss places like this and will continue to support them! Thank you Dollar Meat Store.“

Soy sauce chicken, honey pork, and sausages are amazing too if you’re on a budget. You can get a huge amount of meat here for 10 dollars or under.

Also, don’t forget that they make the soy sauce themselves with their own recipe. It’s sweet and incredibly tasty, I put it on everything. Definitely make a trip sometime if you’ve never been!“

The server is one of the most kindhearted people ever. My family has gotten to know them over the course of a few years. She may seem rough around the edges, but she is incredibly kind and hard working.

I see a bunch of reviews saying the service is bad, but you can tell these people have never eaten at a genuinely authentic and delicious Chinese joint.

This place is a gem. A freaking gem. There aren't many honest to god, grassroots, authentic restaurants like this left. The food smacks. Not even trying to glaze or anything, but the Duck Lai Fun is something to die for. All of this situated in the neighbourhood I grew up in. This is a freaking staple.

Lamb screwers (one bite and special ones are still amazing and angus beef ones are great as well.👍 We had a pitcher of beer with chicken skin. (they really go along together!) It was my first time ordering a soup, lamb soup had rich flavour! I had some lamb screwers to go for my bf, it was still warm and nice after 15 minutes travelling!
