However they do not give you a refill on the kimchi which is the not so cool part of a Korean Restaurant. They charge 2.99 for extra side plate of kimchi. “Hands down, best izakaya place in Vancouver. Love the cozy atmosphere! It absolutely reminds me of the Izakayas in Roppongi Hills and the food has all the authentic ingredients used in Japan with consistent quality and taste. The only thing is the cost has gone up after COVID but it’s understandable because of the negative setbacks it had on businesses! I would recommend coming here for a date night or party; overall, a great and fun place to go to.“

“Love it here. It's so chill in there and staff are nice. Had the one bowl and comes with a pastry, a soup and a bowl of rice. It takes some skill to pack a good bowl. Balance of meat, veggies and noodles. The sauce is where it can be overwhelming but try to use the wall poster suggestions to make it. Keep in mind the amount of scoops for the sauce really depends on how much you put in your bowl. The more ingredients you get the more sauce you'll need or it will lack flavor. Definitely takes some experience to make it good for yourself. Love this place, comfort food for me for many years. It has been quiet last few visits. I hope more people come to make sure they don't close!“

We splurged on the full platter as a group of 3 to give everything a try and everything went beyond what I could’ve ever imagined: the ribs are so tender and fall perfectly off the bone, the brisket and chicken are both incredibly juicy, and the pulled pork is just perfectly flavourful (and not too dry!)All sauces really elevated each every single dish, would absolutely come again.Notes: reservation required, call or email. “The tasting platter let's you try a variety of different cuts of meat for the price and definitely recommend trying if you don't have any particular cut you want to go for. Biggest recommendations is 100% to get the wagyu oil rice which was super flavorful.“
“Our new favorite Korean place! When it's date night for my husband and I, we usually go for Korean. We've frequented many Korean restaurants and Sumi just hit to our favourite one! The soups are incredible (great spice and flavours) as well as the fried chicken wings are crispy and meaty. We are looking forward to coming back again soon to try other dishes. Also, the restaurant was very formal.The ‘Japchae’ I ate at the time had overcooked noodles and a different taste, and the taste of the ‘Gamjatang’ was ‘slightly below average’.‘Galbijjim’ was a little greasy, but very tasty and soft.Above all, the side dishes here are very delicious and diverse.“

The people were very nice when we picked it up.At the time, I was feeling a little bleh so I ordered some Plain Congee and it was exactly what I needed right then. Fully settled my stomach and soothed my throat. Recommend for anyone under the weather to get some of their plain congee and a good nap. We also got the West Lake soup. It was tasty and filling.Dietary restrictions: I have a million food allergies and even I found more than several items that worked for me.“

They offered to help us keep them in the tanks until closer to the time we fly and we really appreciated it.
