Every item we ordered was well prepared and true to the HK flavors you’d expect — nothing overly salty or greasy, just balanced and satisfying. We tried half a BBQ duck and the three-meat combo with rice, and both were excellent. The staff were friendly and courteous, and I especially appreciated how generous they were with sauces — a small detail that goes a long way.

“This is my favorite Chinese BBQ place in Richmond so far. It's so inexpensive and tastes amazing. I usually split a 2 meat on rice with my boyfriend for $14.50. We get the char siu and sausage. I like the anise or liquorice-like spice they use in the sausage! Also, the staff are friendly and accommodating (they always give us extra utensils when we ask).“

“I had a great experience at Mr.Beigai BBQ in Richmond ! The atmosphere has a fun, authentic street-style vibe while still being clean and comfortable. We ordered grilled lamb kidneys and grilled baby corn, and both were cooked perfectly. The kidneys were tender, flavorful, and well-seasoned without being overpowering. The baby corn had a nice smoky char and paired beautifully with the spices.

We also tried the cold cucumber and peanut dish, which was refreshing and balanced with just the right amount of tanginess. The shredded tofu salad was light and flavorful, making it a perfect complement to the BBQ. Portions were generous and the pricing is very reasonable for Vancouver. Finally got to try this popular roast meat place that always has a line! Luckily, the wait wasn’t too long — about 10 minutes. Watching the chef skillfully slice the meat was impressive. I bought the honey-glazed BBQ pork and the honey pork jowl. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos, but if you love a rich honey flavor, you have to try the pork jowl — it’s absolutely delicious! 😋“

We booked for 5:30pm and left at 8pm and not by choice. We took our 7 year old. His food came within about 20-30 minutes. While we got our miso, edamame and salad one at a time, It took over an hour to get our BBQ meat, and longer to get our bowls of rice. 2 1/2 hours to get our bill (with me stopping someone to ask for the bill). Our son was super excited to cook meat but was getting upset with all the waiting. Quite honestly, the 2 adults with him were too. But I would give it a try again because the food was good“

Seeing not a lot of people I was wondering would it be good, but I was blown away.The skewers are cheaper than outside and just tasted so amazing. Seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection. Eating outside with the setting sun definitely sets a good mood to enjoy the food.Definitely need to try the lamb kidney, chicken knee, chicken soft bone and meat, beef tongue, and must order the Naan, it is more Northern Chinese Naan bread, and it is so soft and pillowy, we ate both of them so quickly.A must try in richmond.“
