“This Winery is a cut above any Winery that I've been to in Canada, including Niagara region. A good selection of vintages, and the tasting room allows you to taste a selection of different wines. Everything is sourced locally for the charcuterie board and even the fruit wines!! My favourite was the raspberry wine, and I normally don't like fruit wines as they tend to be very sweet. Other favourites were 2019 Meritage and 2017 Muscat. This was a sitted tasting and the portions were very generous. 5* plus plus plus!!”

You are then asked to enter a validation code or you get a parking ticket. This sounds easy enough but you never receive a validation code and vulnerable to getting a ticket.I gave 4 stars because every time my family has eaten here many times and we have enjoyed it. “Best Izakaya type restaurant hands down in Richmond.Must visit when in Richmond!Parking and LocationVery easy to find on No.3 Road. The parking is plentiful with the parking lot directly in front and back of the mall.AtmosphereExtremely great decor that is of a typical Izakaya eatery in Japan. Reminds me of Tokyo and some other in Japan. There is also a big screen TV for those who wants to watch sports. There are a few rooms for more private spaces but floor space is plenty.FoodThe food is excellent! From the uni sushi to sashimi, to the robata of beef tongue and chicken knee, everything taste excellent. There is a wide variety of choice in sake, both hot and cold. The beer is great, especially the Okinawan draft beer, which has a clean taste and goes down quite easy.ServiceThe best if all is the service. The owners, Glenda and Spencer, may also join you for a quick drink! Their hospitality is the best of the overall experience. It reminds I me of Izakaya places in Japan where the owner joins you in chatter and drink. Definitely a great experience overall.Geanbei Izakaya is highly recommended for both a place for excellent food as well as a place for a gathering. Will definitely visit again whenever I'm in town. I would say this is my local hangout whenever I'm in Richmond to see family and friends.”

I had the Chicken and Waffles Benedict, the flavors, the presentation, everything was spot on! My son had the Brisket Bennie, it’s now one of his favorite dishes ever. My wife had the mushroom avocado Bennie. “The best dimsum restaurant I been to in British Columbia with the atmosphere where you feel you are in Hongkong with people offering food on their cart while they go around. All the food we got were very delicious and we do not even know what they are called in the menu. Some of the servers do not speak fluent english and sometimes there is a language barrier and communication is a bit difficult but the service and food compensates for that short coming. It was a full house when we came to visit but as soon as we got our seats the waiting for food was not an issue and we were eating right away. Water and tea are refilled as soon as they ran out and they change your plate with a new one as soon as they see that you are done with your first course of orders. Servers are all around and you can call them anytime if you need to order something from the menu and food ordered are served in no time with little waiting. “The sushi at Tsukiji, while decent, did not quite live up to the standards set by other Japanese sushi houses I've visited. The flavors were somewhat lacking in depth, and the freshness of the ingredients was not as pronounced as I had hoped. The selection was adequate, but it didn't offer the wow factor that I was looking for in a sushi dining experience. The service at Tsukiji was average, neither exceptionally good nor bad. The staff were polite and attentive, but there wasn't a sense of warmth or personalized attention that can elevate a dining experience from ordinary to special. The efficiency of the service was commendable, but it lacked the personal touch that can make a restaurant stand out.Overall, I would rate my experience at Tsukiji Japanese Restaurant as a 5 out of 10. While it provides a satisfactory dining experience, it doesn't quite hit the mark in terms of the exceptional food quality and service that I seek in a Japanese sushi restaurant. All the wine is easy to drink and I especially love the sparkling wines and the rose. Their Suzie Q Riesling is my favourite! A treat for German Riesling fans. Highly recommended.”

“Great sushi spot in Richmond if you're willing to spend a few extra bucks! We ordered the following for two:- uni cream udon- volcano scallop roll- red n blue roll- hamachi sashimi (6 piece)- aburi sushi combo (2 orders)- ube puree ice cream (2 orders)- x1 beer for myselfEverything tasted great and the quantity was just enough for 2 people. The only item I wasn't a huge fan of was the uni cream udon, to me it just tasted like mac n cheese sauce on udon noodles...but it wasn't too bad.My favorite was the Red n Blue roll. It was fresh and delicious! ? I also enjoyed the ice cream dessert with the ube noodles thing on top of (matcha flavoured?) ice cream.Service was good as well. We got seats as soon as we walked in on a Friday night. Surprisingly this place wasn't busy on a Friday night, perhaps it was the price of their menu, but either way it worked out for us! Servers were attentive and friendly.Only con would be the location. Parking here is brutal during dinner time on weekends since it's located in a small lot.Overall I would recommend this place if you want some great quality sushi and other Japanese food and don't mind spending a little more...ok maybe a lot more ?.(full disclosure: we spent about $240 total with tip)”

There were 2 tables of customers before me, and 3 tables got the “reserved” sign. Luckily, we got seated at the larger table by the window. Their menu is impressively diverse, so many different items to choose from. We ordered sashimi, soba, a deluxe roll and a kids sushi plate to try a variety of things. We thought we might need to order more since we had 3 adults but we were actually quite full! I was impressed by how thick the sashimi slices were cut and they were all so tasty and fresh. That speaks quality! I also like the broccolis on the soba which had lots of beef! Will definitely recommend! ?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Vegetarian options: Sushi rolls”

“Favorite traditional sushi place in Richmond and value for dollar showcases it sheds the fancy nameplate for a very subdued and quality driven experience. The assorted sushi set at $38 (2024) showcases local and Japanese imported fish, fresh and well portioned for each piece to be eaten in one bite, non lock-jawing bite. The saba battera is a little different than other restaurants since it showcases much more redness and has a lot more fish flavor. Some may be a little overwhelmed so try if you truly like Saba :), but dive in if you love it.Other standouts are the ankimo and tako wasabi and their uni tasted really good too (not sandy nor bitter).I really enjoy the intimacy in which it feels to dine here. “Up close and personal??Been to the old location a couple of times a lifetime ago but first time to this new location. It is located on the ground floor on the corner of Garden City and McKim Way. There is a parkade at the back and paid street parking along the street (if you are somewhat lazy like me after a long day, it’s $3/hr right out front lol). The inside is greeted with a fish tank of koi fishes, bar and sushi bar along with the kitchen to the right and tables to the left as you walk in. A small but comfortably spaced out dining atmosphere.Upon arrival and told over an hour wait but sushi bar is available. Opted out at first but my friend didn’t mind the UP CLOSE and personal experience so sushi bar it was. Here were the food I ordered;1. Unagi tamago. Decently okay, nice little appetizer to begin the meal with. Usually if just tamago, I prefer it at the end as almost like a dessert.2. Tako wasabi. Nice texture but lack the wasabi taste (actually I can barely taste the wasabi).3. Soft shell crab. Very nicely done and the crab was of good size plus came with a nice fresh salad!4. Oyster motoyaki. Nicely cooked and tasty. Finally a place understands how to cook a straight to the point good motoyaki.5. Foie gras toast. The foie gras was seared nicely but the toast was over toasted, the sauce was too much and overpowered the beautiful buttery taste of the foie gras.6. Kimchi mentaiko yaki udon. Added the kimchi sauce while pan frying it, good! Didn’t add the masago too early good! Ingredients were generous and didn’t over cooked, good! BUT cooked the kimchi cabbage together, resulting in nothing but warm sour cabbage, not good!7. Deluxe sashimi added Hokkaido uni for $58 extra. Everything was fresh and tasty. Bite size as I preferred them (some of you who preferred over sizes then you will be disappointed lol). But I am bit disappointed with the selection for $65. The uni was fresh but $58 for 9pcs whereas the each of the uni nigiri has 3pcs in them for $16. The uni nigiris are perhaps a better deal than the uni sashimi?!?8. Engawa nigiris. Lightly torched and a nice light sauce, very tasty.9. O-toro, kinmedai, shima aji, chopped scallop nigiris. Everything was fresh and tasty but wish the O-toro nigiris were just a tad bit more generous in portion especially for the price. This is a nice little place with a warm and cozy vibe. They do have a selection of creative dishes that most likely you don’t find at other places, but the price tag is a bit higher here than your average Japanese restaurant. I assume the goal is quality over quantity. The food was fresh and of good quality, no doubt about that. All the sushis were bite size just the way I liked them but like I said earlier on if you are those who prefer bigger portions, this may not be for you. I would put this place on an option to repeat if I am in the neighbourhood but for the same price, there are similar or better options throughout the lower mainland.Overall the service was friendly and attentive, but I did wish I got a table instead of the sushi bar because there was an empty table throughout the duration of my time there. Nevertheless, up close and personal once awhile is okay at long as good food and good company.”

The young female server we had was delightful, charming and lovely (sorry didn't get her name). Our food came all together and was fresh, hot and each order was spot-on.Six of us opted for burgers -- one Meadows Loaded, one Black Bean Veggie, and four Wild Salmon which turned out to be Sockeye(?). The Salmon Burger afficionado in the group, the one who orders it anytime it's on the menu, said it was a very good Salmon Burger.Another ordered the Butter Chicken, his cleaned off plate was obvious testament to its respectability considering his South Asian roots. The last of our group had the Seafood Pasta which really impressed. The sockeye salmon, prawns and scallops were fresh, plentiful and perfectly cooked (not overcooked!!!). The whole dish was delicicous, perfectly seasoned, not heavy and not salty (thank you!).? The serving was too large to finish but the diner still raved about the meal when they polished off the remainder at home hours later. Kudos to the chef. ???Thank you Country Meadows for a very enjoyable, relaxing and excellent lunch! *****Vegetarian options: The vegetarians in our group appreciated having vegetarian options on the menu.”
