“The fish and chips are of excellent value compared with many seafood restaurants I have visited in the UK and Australia. Excellent value also with a relaxing outdoor atmosphere in Steventon. I would strongly this restaurant😀 to all my friends and anyone new to Vancouver.“

“we rented a car in north vancouver so that we could make our excursion to see fisherman’s wharf on the last day of our trip. when asked about our plans by the friendly car rental man of british origin, he enthusiastically recommended that we try the fish and chips. we asked him if he had a specific spot in mind, he couldn’t remember the name but said “the one right by the wharf. you’ll see it.” we saw many, and chose dave’s based purely on aesthetics. it looked quite nautical indeed. we both ordered the two piece fish and chips, with one piece of halibut and one piece of salmon. it was hot, it was fish, it was chips, it was fried, it was crisp on the outside and moist within. its blandness would have more than suited any englishman. i would recommend you try it.“

“Food was very delicious. Everything tasted seriously fresh! At most other seafood restaurants that I’ve eaten at, you sometimes occasionally bite into or eat a bad shellfish which can ruin the experience. But this place, everything tasted fresh and not a single bad shellfish to be had!“

“Ate there today (first time)-it was busy and not surprising as the quality is excellent and one of the few places where the chips are crispy and not soggy like most places. My only suggestion is that they pile too many chips in the basket & I couldn't finish all of them !“

“Great food for celiac! However not the best service. Called ahead to pick up my order. Guy at the front said it was not ready yet. Turns out my food was sitting there ready at the counter since I walked in the door 20 mins prior 🫠
Be sure to check yourself if your order is ready or not !“

“Travelled a bunch while on active duty (US Army). As a connoisseur, it was always a mission of mine to find out where the locals go for the best fish n chips in town. Hands down, Go-Fish is on the top of my list.
I always go with the Halibut which is always fresh, beer battered to perfection and full of flavor. Chips are freshly cut and prepped in the background throughout the day and with their iconic “Potato of the Day” placed at the register which to me was a represented their pride in using Fresh Potatoes~
I am not a fan of (American style)Coleslaw.. I don’t like the smell of it, and the “soaking in mayo/milk look really throws me off. With that being said, Go-Fish is the only place I go to enjoy the slaw. A great blend of veggies and herbs and spices creating a perfect balance between texture and unique flavor(s) and just looks 100times more appetizing~
The Tartar sauce is amazing! I look forward to having it every-time. Its sounds silly but their Tartar is different from other places I’ve had. Much more flavorful and also thick yet fluffy, its dip-patibility deserves a worthy acknowledgement. ~
A bonus recommendation.. fish tacones- they are exactly what it sounds like..a cone shaped fish taco for your convenience. Its cone-like structure aesthetically makes sense, while your traditional taco is the only food in the world we uncomfortably tilt our heads for. While its shape saves your neck, its protective barrier creates a nicely secured pocket of deliciousness, great for those who support the “no food left behind” act. Tacones are the future if not already!!
10 out of 10“

“We were early for our ferry and had our dog! They totally accommodated us on their sunny outside patio. They brought a dog bowl and ice water for our dog! The halibut and chips was a generous helping and so good!“

“Totally enjoyed our lunch here today. The food was fresh and delicious, the service friendly and quick, and even the tabletops and bench seats have been refurbished! Add to that the interesting views of ships going by - couldn't have asked for anything more!“
