“Lovely! We treated ourselves to a night with no kids for our 18th anniversary and enjoyed everything about this hotel. We had great communication with the staff. Cleanliness was outstanding, the room was very quiet, the bed was comfortable, the decor very pretty, and we were excited to be able to see the water from our window. But the best part was the location- you step outside the elevator and you’re right in the fun of the shipyards area. We had a special dinner, then took the seabus to the other side and biked around Stanley Park, then returned and went out again to get dessert. None of the busyle can be heard from the room but the fun was very handy. We would love to return!“

“This is thee place to eat when in Deep Cove! The food, drinks, location and casual ambience are outstanding. You can dine inside or out on the patio on a sunny day. Service is always fabulous as this is a true Mom & Pop neighbourhood restaurant. Thank you Seth & Nicole for creating such a gem of a place!“

“Ate there today (first time)-it was busy and not surprising as the quality is excellent and one of the few places where the chips are crispy and not soggy like most places. My only suggestion is that they pile too many chips in the basket & I couldn't finish all of them !“

“Best Ling Cod and Chips i have had in a long time. Very crisp tempura like batter, not greasy. Large thick portions of very fresh Ling Cod that melted in your mouth. Fries were also very good. The only thing that would make this place better is being on the waters edge, not a parking lot. But it certainly won't stop me from going back. Two thumbs up!“

“Whenever I get a proper craving for fish and chips, Cockney Kings Fish & Chips is my default setting. They run daily specials, and while I occasionally go full treat-yourself with the halibut, my usual order is the cod two-piece plus calamari, which I split with my partner. Reliable, classic and zero regrets.
The service is genuinely lovely. At lunch today they automatically split the cod onto two plates and brought them out separately without even having to ask. That kind of attention and service tends to stick.
The ambiance leans diner rather than destination restaurant, but it's cozy in the way diners are supposed to be: comfortable, unfussy, and staffed by people who seem happy you're there. Cockney Kings in New West wins you over with warmth, consistency, and very solid fish and chips.
I’d give them a 4.5/5 stars if I can on Google.“

“Very good fish and chips, may be contender for best in the city. Fish was moist and tender, had a nice batter which was light and perfectly crispy, and not greasy at all! Fries were also perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Finally, the tartar sauce is perfect - it hits a nice balance between creamy and tangy, unlike many places in Vancouver that veer too much in one direction or the other. Only minor complaint was the wait time and difficulty finding somewhere to sit, though I did travel there on the weekend in summer season, so might be ideal to go here on a different day.
Recommend getting some lemons and water on the side as they're free. 5/5 STARS“

“The BEST GF Halibut I have ever tasted!!!! You can order DF and GF options here. Fish was top notch, fries were great, not short on ketchup, and good tartar sauce. Great atmosphere as well!! I believe they take pride in the food they serve at The Fish Counter Main Street!!! Come and try them out.... We'd DEFINITELY go back for more!!“

“Chill and unpretentious atmosphere, very unassuming spot from the exterior. Super light crispy batter on the halibut , not greasy at all, excellent chips! Salmon cooked perfectly with rice and beans dish. Rice was a bit wet - I would love that salmon on a huge crispy vinegary salad with those pickled onions! (Future potential option? :P ) It took a while for our food due to lunch rush/wave of online orders, but everything was delicious, hot and crispy and made with intention and care! (Also, good music and you can play board games.) Very stoked to return and spread the good word! Thank you, Rumblefish! (I’ll update with photos on our next visit! Forgot to snap any!)“

“you will not find a deal as good as the ayce one here at c-lovers. the fish and chips were actually fried really well — super hot, fresh, crispy, with each bite releasing a torrent of moist, juicy fish — and obviously the quality of the fish is not mind-blowing quality, but the taste is still really good. the fries are also thick, potato-y, and warm, perfect with a sprinkle of salt. the tartar sauce is tangy and has a really strong dill flavour, and it comes in a bottle so you can really splurge. it does get a TAD greasy/oily once you eat a bunch in the end, but their LEGENDARY coleslaw is REALLY creamy and fresh, so it balances well. they also don’t load you up on fries (and you have the option to only get fish/choose how many fish you want when you order again), so it really is a fantastic deal. bottomless pop too. the onion rings are also massive, had really hot, thick batter, and was just so good. C-LOVERS FOR LIFE !“
