“We phoned yesterday, made a reservation for a birthday dinner today at 5:30 PM, confirmed verbally on the phone. We showed up at 5:30 PM and they turned us away, saying they had no reservation. We showed them the phone number that we phoned yesterday to make the reservation. The phone number was on our phone, confirming that a phone call had been made. We recounted to them the conversation, including the discussion about the fact that it was a birthday and reminded them of the discussion about having a dessert with candles. Nobody recalled the conversation and we had to leave because they were fully booked. they tried to assert that our reservation had been for the previous day and that she even recalled serving a woman yesterday with the same name, a birthday.“

“We were craving kalamari. Googled and found nostos. Boy, was this a revelation. By far the best Greek food I've ever had. And I've been eating g Greek food in Vancouver since 1980. Home style cooking; pork souvlaki was sooooo delicious. Kalamari, light and crispy, Greek salad was elegant w flavours popping in my mouth. Dessert was to die for. And most importantly, we felt like guests eating g at the owners home. Vasili and his mom were the nicest hosts you could ever ask for.

“My partner and I tried Sfinaki earlier this week and loved it! Goli was our server and she was absolutely lovely. We tried the grilled calamari, grilled prawns (that butter sauce is to die for my goodness), lamb shoulder dish, Greek salad with a chicken skewer and of course pita which was so soft and warm. Perfect to dip in the butter sauce (thanks Goli for the tip)! Also, I love tzatziki and theirs was perfect.

“Ordered the avocado toast for brunch, it was quite nice and the house salad has a really great dressing that is light and flavorful.
Something about the toast/eggs itself could use a little more seasoning. The eggs were also poached a bit soft, I ordered medium.
The server was really kind and quick but a tad forgetful.
Pricing was reasonable for the amount of avocado on the toast“

“My partner and I highly recommend Double DD Pizza. It’s been our most favourite place to go to for food in Kitsilano over the past 5 years. Their home made pizzas are the best. As well as having a HUGE selection of pizzas, they also have many other fantastic Greek dishes. We love the food here, so much so, that we make our way out to this part of Kitsilano often just to go and eat at Double DD. You really gotta try this place! “Moussaka plate with Greek salad - the salad was good. The portions were also good. The seasonings were appropriate. However the moussaka was very greasy and therefore not very enjoyable. I expect that Greek food will always have a certain amount of Olive Oil, sometimes lots of it, especially on salads, but the grease at the bottom of that moussaka was very un appetizing. Perhaps they should review their recipe.. I will never order it there again.“

“A great evening dining with my wife Janet at Olympia Pizza on Denman. We come here at least once a visit to Vancouver. The Pizzas here are so good it has become a habit to order them. Tonight we broke our tradition and had a steak dinner (Janet ) and Moussaka dinner ( Me ) . They were so tasty and had us remembering our stops in Greece on this summer's Mediterranean cruise. Always friendly service and a welcoming manner. We'll be back. 🤠👍“

“Awesome find in Tsawwassen- definitely recommend checking out if you are a Greek food lover! A lot closer if you live south of the Fraser compared to other Greek places in Vancouver or beyond. Roast lamb dinners were delicious. Large portions of meat and sides. The potatoes were super lemon-y, which I love! We also ordered a dolmathes appetizer which was great.“

“Honestly, this is the best place to eat.
Out of all the fast food places around there, this is definitely the best spot for lunch.

Great food quality, friendly staff, and excellent customer service.
I’ve tried many different places, and even for something small like sauce, most places are very stingy. But here, I only asked once and they gave me plenty of sauces with no hesitation at all.

That really shows they care about their customers.

The food quality is amazing, the portions are generous, and everything tastes great.

“Stumbled across this restaurant on our last night in Vancouver and what a find. This is a small but very busy restaurant with lots of locals coming in a constant stream plus takeaways and delivery drivers. This was a Tuesday night and it was extremely busy. So it is clearly very popular and i see why!! The food was fantastic and very authentic. The portions were huge and very reasonably priced. Great wine too. It was a small team but they were constantly at it. Such a slick operation and the service was faultless. A special shout out to John who was very funny. An absolute must if you are in this part of Vancouver!“

“Had a fantastic meal at Stepho’s on Davie Street! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The roast lamb was tender and full of flavour, the hummus was creamy and fresh, and both the calamari and beef souvlaki were cooked perfectly and very tasty.

“The food is absolutely amazing. Tastes amazing. But its pretty expensive, and also, it takes them a very long time to cook it sometimes the person who can cook is gone and that doesnt say it anywhere. Had to wait for 20 minutes for him to come. Even though most of the staff there are very nice but once again it takes them a pretty long time to cook it and sometimes there might be an unexpected wait time. Other than that, great place to eat and chill!“

“We have been to this Pub often and had decided to book the back room for a celebration birthday party. We had approximately 20 people at the celebration and we were allowed to utilize our own decorating scheme to personalized the space as we had wanted it to look.

Upon all of our guests arriving, our server, Nathan met us and was very helpful, friendly and professional throughout the night. When the food arrived at the prescribed time, it was all very tasty, hot and fresh.

Everyone in attendance enjoyed themselves and commented on the atmosphere and the great taste of all the food.“
