“Their friendly and their pizza is yummy, service is fast but their Hummus is sadly not traditional and is a big miss. Traditional Hummus generally is light, airy whipped consistency and not soupy. Unfortunately it lacked lemon, Kalamata olives and most surprisingly missed the garlic which is like making Nachos without cheese which the local Raven Pub has somehow masterly failed at but don't get me started. Stick with their Tzatziki & Pizza and your in good hands!“

“We phoned yesterday, made a reservation for a birthday dinner today at 5:30 PM, confirmed verbally on the phone. We showed up at 5:30 PM and they turned us away, saying they had no reservation. We showed them the phone number that we phoned yesterday to make the reservation. The phone number was on our phone, confirming that a phone call had been made. We recounted to them the conversation, including the discussion about the fact that it was a birthday and reminded them of the discussion about having a dessert with candles. Nobody recalled the conversation and we had to leave because they were fully booked. they tried to assert that our reservation had been for the previous day and that she even recalled serving a woman yesterday with the same name, a birthday.“

“Why did I find this place so late? Plates are generous and made with love, everything they do from the fat burger to salad has that magic touch. Not overpriced, in fact it's shocking how many mediocre restaurants charge the same but deliver weak results (yes, White Spot, I am talking about you!). Service was excellent and warm. Highly recommend the bacon cheese burger, bennies, Mediterranean skillet. Whoever is managing this place needs to give workshops to restaurants on how to keep everything top shelf.“

I asked for the lamb dish and got a very big serving, just wished it had a bit more meat so it'd be perfect to share and that the rice was a bit warmer.
The salad with feta, Potatoes, sauce, bread and lamb tasted really good.
It took roughly 10 minutes to plate this particular dish, but they were upfront abou the wait time.“

“A great evening dining with my wife Janet at Olympia Pizza on Denman. We come here at least once a visit to Vancouver. The Pizzas here are so good it has become a habit to order them. Tonight we broke our tradition and had a steak dinner (Janet ) and Moussaka dinner ( Me ) . They were so tasty and had us remembering our stops in Greece on this summer's Mediterranean cruise. “My first visit to Yiannis Greek Taverna in New Westminster was a pleasant surprise. Located inside a mall, the restaurant offers plenty of free parking and a separate entrance from the outside. Initially, the small door from the mall and the dim lighting made us unsure if it was open. My daughter even asked, “Is it open? Why is it so dark in there?” However, once inside, we were greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance.

Despite it being 6 PM on a bustling Saturday, we managed to snag one of the last tables. Our server was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, although she did forget to place our order and my daughter’s apple juice. After a 40-minute wait, she apologized sincerely, assured us she would expedite our order, and offered us complimentary dessert as a gesture of goodwill.

When our food finally arrived, it was worth the wait. The portions were generous, and I ended up taking some home. I had the roast lamb, which was incredibly tender and fell off the bone. My daughter, a notoriously picky eater, enjoyed her salmon in tomato sauce, possibly because of the long wait. My husband had the lamb souvlaki, and our friend tried the potato-crusted cod—both dishes were delicious.

To top off our meal, our server brought us ek mek, a Greek dessert, on the house. Despite my usual preference for chocolate desserts, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

Overall, Yiannis Greek Taverns exceeded our expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return the next time I’m craving Greek cuisine.“

“I had a fantastic experience at OPA! of Greece. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. I ordered the platter, and every bite—from the skewers to the salad and tzatziki—was spot on. You can really taste the quality and care in their preparation.

The service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, efficient, and made sure everything was just right. It’s rare to find a fast-casual spot that delivers both taste and top-notch service, but OPA! nailed it.

“My favorite, calamari with Greek salad. Salad is yummy, fresh, fries are great. But the only problem I thought was they cut the calamari so thin. So I think, when they buy the frozen calamari, they cut it on half. Like seriously the calamari is thin like paper and full of batter. Service us amazing, the in-house sauces are amazing especially the chillie sauce, just the calamari bit.i stopped going here, I go to the metro town opa instead, or the tsawwassen.“

Their food is exceptional. The customer service is amazing. Their prices are unbelievable the quality of their food is to die for. “This was our first time ordering from any Opa Restaurant. We ordered from Skip the Dishes, and to honest, thought we would give it a try as they were offering Skip points. We are so happy we did. We ordered the mega platter and a couple of sides, and don’t know when we’ve enjoyed a meal more. Everything was absolutely delicious. We also ordered a side of fries ( previously I would have said that fries are just fries) but these were do beautifully seasoned they deserve a special mention. This is a small but very busy restaurant with lots of locals coming in a constant stream plus takeaways and delivery drivers. This was a Tuesday night and it was extremely busy.
