“This is my all-time favorite restaurant. I was there with my friend Reg for lunch last Tuesday, June 3, 2025. I had heard that they were bringing back burgers and omelets and other favorite lunchtime fares on their new lunch menus. Me and my friend were treated to the best and freshest burger that I have ever eaten in my life. A delicious quarter pound beef patty prepared ground on the spot and prepared fresh for us. I thought I had died and gone to burger heaven. The burger was cooked perfectly with mozzarella cheese, onions, mushrooms, bacon, and lettuce and tomato on a fresh made in restaurant delicious bun. We were the first to be treated to these fantastic burgers and am planning to go back over the weekend and chow down on more burger comfort food. It was out of this world delicious. I had ordered a side of french fries before my meal so when my deluxe burger arrived I chose to have rice on the side. Great choice by me again! ! I just want to thank my friends at Andreas restaurant (North Vancouver) for bringing back burgers to their establishment. It was a bon bon day to have such a delicious lunch at my favorite food place and it was wallet-friendly as well as this big burger meal only cost me CA $15.50. Cheers and thank you for the great meal and service. My server Jason was amazing and super attentive. Can't wait to go back with my friends for lunch this coming weekend. “Brilliant Donair“

“My partner and I have driven past this place a few times, both thinking to ourselves that we want to go to Daddy's Grill just because of its name, lol. Today we finally visited!

Honestly, I had a great time. The menu is both as simple and as varied as it should be. It makes ordering easy. Everything on the menu looks good, so it's hard to go wrong.

The food itself is delicious, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Very nice choice for salad dressing, all are great flavours combined in one dish. I was offered a large naan with some dipping sauce as an appetizer, and it was so so good.

When it comes to shops offering Persian cuisine, this one is higher class. The food, the service, the interior decor, everything is high quality and the restaurant itself is very clean, including in the bathrooms. I wasn't expecting that! I also came at a busy time, the kitchen is open concept so you can watch the chefs as they cook -- They are very efficient.

There was a man, who I assume is the owner, that was catering to my table. He makes you feel like family. He is such a humble and good person, you can tell the customer experience is very important to him.

There were a couple girls working the tables as well, they approached the right amount of times and no one was over-bearing or over-serving. They have everything perfectly balanced.

This has been my ‘go to’ place for my lunch everyday for many years so long I was working in the tower office and now having retired visit this place without fail whenever I happened to visit downtown Vancouver. “Recently visited Babylon Cafe on Denman Street and honestly had such a great experience. The location is amazing — just steps from English Bay beach, making it the perfect place to grab food and relax after a walk by the water.

We tried their shawarma platters and they were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and very authentic. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the rice was cooked really well, and the sauces added so much flavor to the meal. You can definitely tell they focus on quality and presentation.

Their drinks and cocktails were also really good and added so much to the overall experience. It’s one of those places where you can sit back, enjoy good food, have a few drinks, and genuinely spend a relaxing evening with friends or family. The atmosphere is casual, welcoming, and has a very nice beachside vibe.

A huge shoutout to Habibi, the owner, for the amazing hospitality and service. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had a great experience from the moment we walked in. Customer service like this honestly makes a place stand out even more.

Another thing we appreciated was the pricing. For the quality, portion sizes, location, and overall experience, the prices are actually very reasonable for downtown Vancouver.

Definitely recommend Babylon Cafe if you’re around Denman Street or English Bay and looking for flavorful Mediterranean food, good drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again!“

“A great late-night option for wraps and platters, my personal preference.

Chicken/Lamb/Beef platters are $18.49 each, and my portion was happily hefty when I picked it up in person versus ordering via DoorDash/Uber Eats. It comes with Greek salad, 2x domaldes, 2 potatoes, rice, and a heap of meat that gets covered in 2 sauces of your choice.

I also ordered a side tabbouleh that I wish was more dominant with parsley, but it’s still decent, and quite filling with the extra quinoa.

The location was super clean, and the customer service was sincerely warm and friendly. Not sure what’s with all the negative reviews, but in my opinion, if you enter with a smile, you’ll get served with smiles in return.

“Went for breakfast right when they opened.

Easily the best vegan breakfast I’ve had in the states, Canada, or rest of the country in quite some time. Portion size was out of this world. I got the omelette with the oyster mushrooms, next time I’m going to get the chick steak. The potatoes fried to perfection, a yummy side salad, and two pieces of pita bread. I have a handful of days left and i want to make sure i hit them one last time!“

I was very happy with my donair and pleasantly surprised with the excellent customer service at this donair establishment. As it was my first Donair here, the attendant was very helpful and patient.
It is also open late and close to so many performances. A great location for before a Roger's Arena or BC Place event.
They have a great chicken donair, or a beef donair, or a lamb donair, or... you get it, lots of selection! 😉
