“Some of the best food we’ve ever had while living in Vancouver. We can’t wait to go back!! To start we got the Lean Lamb Merguez, and everything about this dish was perfect. The greens were refreshing, the homemade hot sauce was incredible, and the lamb was seasoned to perfection. For our mains we got the Lemon Saffron Lamb Shank and the Cardamom Duck With Figs, Pear And Sesame Tagine both packed with flavour and falling apart to the touch.“

“It’s always awesome to have great and fresh food with amazing varieties of items of both vegetarian and non vegetarian that are sure to please everyone’s taste buds and one such place is there within easy reach and reasonable pricing. This is the place which has been in operation for several years now helping many office workers in the tower and many people in and around the area. The portions come with choice of meats and two vegetable items totally complimentary! For the carb, they serve hot rice with a surprising addition of a fried papad at no charge. This has been my ‘go to’ place for my lunch everyday for many years so long I was working in the tower office and now having retired visit this place without fail whenever I happened to visit downtown Vancouver. Great quality with no change in taste and flavour for years. Checkout their special item of the day, that is on every weekday Recommended highly!

I had a chicken and beef wrap, the meat was thick cut and there was so much flavor from the other ingredients in the wrap. Highly recommended! Please note they only accept cash or debit, no credit cards.“

“My husband and I tried Babylon for the first time this week. They have an extensive menu with options for everyone. We both ordered the falafel appetizer and they were phenomenal. The falafels had the perfect crispness and amazing flavor! Also, the portion size was huge and they’re served with delicious sauces and pickled veg. I couldn’t believe the affordable prices too! We got 6 falafels each for only $9.50!! We also tried the green lentil soup, which had amazing flavor! It appears to be a family run business, and everyone was super kind and welcoming. Everything is fresh and they put everything together so you feel the value and are satisfied afterwards. “First time being here! I was recommended by a Persian friend. Ordered beef Kebab and crispy rice (the first item on the menu. First a first timer for Persian food, it is a very appropriate choice cause the beef kebab is absolutely flavorful! I can’t help wondering how they made the ground beef so dense but soft like a meat ball, without adding any starch… I need to go again.

The crispy rice is very interesting as well. It’s like buttery basmati rice. I like how they didn’t add any turmeric, spice nor salt to the rice, and it won’t overpower the flavourful beef kebab.

Overall it’s recommended for anyone who has never tried Persian food!“

“This is an orthodox Italian restaurant. We are Japanese, so we don't like heavy foods, but we think the taste of this restaurant is truly authentic Italian. It had a subtle flavor and was really delicious. I ordered spaghetti with large scallops, linguine with tomato sauce, and minestrone with shrimp for soup, but they brought me okotaro so that the three of us could share it.

The green salad dressing was also really delicious.

And for dessert, I ordered the affogato, which is a drink served by pouring hot coffee over cold vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was slow to melt and I was spooning it off when it suddenly melted into the coffee. It's really delicious when you drink it.

Lastly, there was live Hammond organ music from start to finish. It was so nice.“

“We recently visited Donair Dude on Broadway Street, and it was a great experience. The store was very clean which immediately set a positive tone. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome right from the start. We ordered both the lamb and beef pita donair as well as the beef-only option, and each one was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. I highly recommend it to anyone craving top-notch donairs. The prices are very reasonable. Lots of amazing entrees but don't sleep on the pizza and wings even if that's kind of pub food in a higher-end restaurant. But I guarantee everything is amazing. Although I got takeout, I was early to pick up, spent time inside and talking with staff. What a cool atmosphere and a wonderful staff. I can't recommend it enough. (We expected to have half of our order left over the next day. But we couldn't help but finish damned near all of it following a midnight snack).“

“I loved Chickpea. The meals are huge, fairly priced and everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious. The chickpea fries are a staple of this place, so make sure to try them. On my last visit I had the lion’s mane platter and the mushrooms were just amazing. Servers aren’t the most friendly and ordering drinks felt like a chore, despite the restaurant being almost empty. Maybe they were having an off day but unfortunately my last 2 experiences were very similar. TLDR: food is amazing and I”ll keep coming back for it, but service can be better and needs to improve.

“My partner and I came here for dinner a few weeks and we had a great time. It wasn't very busy and the atmosphere reminded me a pub back in England.
