“As per usual, I had such a great time, I’ve been more than blessed and welcomed to Melo Patisserie. The whole team is nice, smiling and really helpful. It was a sunny day and I decided to go out to get some great treats. I got myself CIABATTA BREAD sandwich with salami and Dijon. It was simply delightfully delicious, the combination of the ciabatta and the melted Swiss cheese is always a win to me but I think this is the best one I ever had. Crunchy and full of flavours. And of course my favourite the London Fog. To indulge myself I finished with a Melo passion fruit ganache gluten-free easter cake, and my heart melted. I looked at their viennoiseries as well but decided to be reasonable and to keep the crave for my next visit. They look so tasty and the layers of the croissants are so beautiful so appetizing. Despite that I enjoyed the location, the pâtisserie is beautiful, it reminds me of me Paris with the decoration and the details from the nice looking plates to even the canvas exposition, everywhere you look it’s a pleasure for the eyes. I highly and strongly recommend Melo patisserie and I’ll come back again. Thank you for the great time ?? before I forget their patio is also so cute next time I’ll bring some friends.“

“Best Lahmajun and Pide!!! Free coffee with foodWe heard about this place from a friend at our break time, we decided to go and try their Lahmajun. Wow, we were amazed with the taste and prices! The Lahmajun I should say is the best in Vancouver based on the quality, taste, and the amount of beef used on the bread. Also, it is only 5.99. I also ordered Pite for to go, but I just couldn't resist and wait, and I ate the whole dish there. It tasted so delicious, and the crust was amazing, it reminded me of the Piroshki dough. We also got Ayran for only $2 which was very tasty. The prices are very affordable for the quality and taste.2 Baklava for 3.25 is the best deal! The staff are so friendly and helpful. They were so welcoming and nice.We were actually offered free coffee with our food!“

“Love this place! If you weren't aware, ahead of time, that it was vegan, you'd never know. Just letting you non-vegans know this, so you're not scared away. :-)I had a latte and the soup/sourdough special. OMG, the bread was amazing! I was savoring the taste an hour later. Soup and latte were excellent, too.I don't know the name of the music, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. If I have one complaint, it's that it feels, as mentioned by a previous reviewer, a little like an office lunch room. It is not the most welcoming environment. That said, though, I will definitely be back. So nice to have a complete vegan coffee shop.“

“Out of this world waffles. I've never been to Brussels, but I don't know how they could beat Nero. The Liege Benedict Waffle with Avocado was incredible, I never considered savory waffles before. It was crispy, fresh, and well flavored. I'm not usually a fan of spicy food or hot sauce, but their homemade hot sauce was a perfect blend of acidity, flavor, and heat adding just the right zest. The Banella Brulee Belgian Waffle was also exquisite, just the right amount of chewy waffle with the velvety chocolate whipped cream and ice cream. The service was top notch, we were immediately greeted with a smile, and were initially seated on the patio with a slight reluctance on our part. As we were seated, we were informed that a seat inside became available and they quickly accommodated us inside. The food and beverages came out incredibly fast, and I felt well taken care of.The atmosphere and ambiance was perfect, a great blend of wood, metallic elements, tile, leather, and live plants giving a very balanced industrial yet cozy vibe.Prices were quite fair for the portions and quality. We ended up having a bill just over C$50 for two drinks and two entrees.Would highly recommend. No complaints.“

The lattes here are nothing short of sublime; every sip is a testament to the full-flavored richness of the beans, perfectly complemented by the velvety steamed milk. I personally love adding just a touch of honey to mine for that extra hint of sweetness. The ambiance of the place is just as impressive as the coffee – it's intimate and brimming with character, complete with the owner's prized guitars adorning the walls. And if you're lucky, you might even be treated to a serenade by the man himself (along with his talented and beautiful partner and wife) as you enjoy your second cuppa. “Despite the name, Kranky Cafe is staffed by the nicest, most pleasant people you will find anywhere. The vibe they've created here is everything you could want from a community cafe. I was made to feel so welcome from the first time I walked in, and since then the baristas have cared enough to remember me, learn my name, ask how I'm doing/what I'm up to and follow up on it the next time I'm back, which is sometimes a month or more later. I've really never been to a coffee shop where the baristas show such genuine interest in customers. I'm not naturally very outgoing so I usually don't really get to know staff at cafes that I frequent, but it's not like I feel like these people are forcing me to converse with them, they're just really nice and it is infectious! As wonderful as the people are, I wouldn't be coming back over and over again if the food wasn't equally as wonderful, but it absolutely is. Their baked goods are homemade and it's very evident in the quality - everything tastes so wholesome! The sandwiches and wraps are great - the Big Veg sandwich, my favourite, is a killer vegan option. And they make good drinks too. The espresso drinks are pretty standard but brewed strong (but not TOO strong), and I think all the tea drinks (including the tea lattes and just straight-up tea) are excellent. They offer a lot of variety in the menu. It's not a vegan cafe (there are plenty of meat options) but there are some very good options for vegans: an assortment of vegan baked goods and two vegan sandwiches. They whip up new things from time to time. It's pretty small inside but they have a lot of patio space for when the weather's decent. They have blankets you can use to keep warm. I love the vibe, it's colourful and cozy inside and the patio has a rustic garden feel. This is the place to visit if you need to lift your spirits.“

Unfortunately we had to stand outside to wait for our table due to limited standing space inside but once we went in things moved pretty quickly. One couple sitting nearby even got a gentle reminder from a server to order as soon as possible since they took too long.We got the shakshuka and the free range eggs they used tasted so much better than what we usually get at the supermarket. It’d be nicer if the eggs were less cooked but the dish overall was very pleasant. The interior is very instagrammable too. If you’re into eclectic decor with local vibes, this is the place for you. “I had such a great experience at Viva cafe & Bakery ? I’m coming to this place since a while and new some Pastry chefs who worked there in the past. Here I am again and that time I’ll let a review for everyone to enjoy their visit to the coffee.I got myself two sandwiches, apparently I was hungry that day, is that the word ? Lol. I choose the Chicken pesto and the breakfast muffin. As I came late I didn’t get the chance to try the sweet treat that I wanted. So let me get back to the sandwiches ?They were simply divine ! Delicious. Couldn’t figure it out which one I prefer. The chicken pesto was excellent, the ciabatta bread crunchy and crusty just enough, the chicken was real chunk of thick and tender cooked to the grill, still juicy but not loose, the pesto almost intense. As soon as you bite it once you’re already biting for a second time without awareness… that’s a 12/10. Simply my favourite sandwich in town so far, period. For the breakfast muffin, same same, the bread is delightful, the ham so flavourful, spinach well seasoned, and the egg ? so nicely cooked. Great job, I highly recommend and strongly suggest anyone to try them, you won’t be disappointed. The team is really nice and helpful, smiling and friendly. The location is really cute, and their patio is meant to be enjoyable.See you next time !!! I’ll come back for the sweet treat ? ?“

I tried pain chocolat, pan Swiss, laminated brioche and breakfast sando and a sweet that I don’t remember the name of which was actually the only thing that I didn’t like.I loved every item I got except the one that I don’t remember the name of and I would recommend laminated brioche the highest. I had to get 3 of those because my 3 year old son devoured them as soon as I got it so I had to get 2 for him so he let me enjoy mine!!Oh btw the cappuccino and latte was world class. Loved how fresh and aromatic it was.Update:I loved the laminated brioche so much that I came back again alone to enjoy it to the fullest it was amazing again.I also tried pan Swiss again and tried a new item: Ciabatta. I wasn’t the fan of the ciabatta especially the soggy grilled lettuce was not appetizing at all and the best thing about that sandwich was eating the bread by itself. I would recommend breakfast sando over ciabatta every time.Kid-friendliness: It is very kid friendly the chef actually came to our table just to meet my 3 year old who twice ate my laminated brioche making me have to go back and order laminated brioche 2 separate times until I finally got to eat it.“

“Loved my experience here. My server Natalie was kind and let me switch my cup to another that I thought was prettier. She had excellent tea recommendations. I love that the teapots are smaller so that you can try a few types of tea! At other tea places I've been to they only offer one giant pot. I dined alone as I was on a layover and still had a great time. I found myself quite full with their spring time high tea- the food is small but I couldn't finish all of it. If you're coming on your own I would recommending bringing a book with you, there is a shop just down the road to do so. Everyone at the shop was full of smiles and seemed to enjoy working here For real Natalie you brought good vibes and made my experience awesome!“

“Went for a quick lunch with a friend. I got the BLT with tomato soup. It was very tasty. The bacon was perfectly cooked and the sourdough was crispy and delightful. The soup was a nice combination. My friend got their chocolate croissant and she very much enjoyed it also. Customer service was great. Will be back again!“

“This is a super cute little coffee shop right next to Burrard Station. The Italian gentleman (Mario, presumably) who runs the place is very charming and absolutely hilarious, and the other staff are very sweet and helpful as well. Ordered a caffè latte and a caprese panini and was very happy with it. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area!Vegetarian options: I really enjoyed the caprese panini (with cheese but no meat), they have other vegetarian options as well“

“Found this tea place on our day out, and I was totally bowled by the options they have. A huge menu to choose from. I was visiting from Toronto, and finding masala chai in Vancouver was the best thing that could happen. The girl at the tea counter,I wish I could see her name tag, suggested to try masala chai. I wanted authentic masala chai , and she gave me a siliguri chai. Despite being busy and alone, she made sure I got what I wanted.“
