“We accidentally found this unique breakfast spot close by to our AirBnB.
The staff, music, art and food pairings are wonderful. Also, a great Flat White! Hours 8 - 3p. You should try this place, today.
Reward yourself. ✌❤💪“

“Nice quiet place on Arbutus, just off the bus route. Croissants a little different, more bread-like. Ordinary coffee. Friendly people. Nice view of street. Grind their own coffee. Make their ice cream. Restroom. Soft music on old classic stereo.“

“Moja Coffee on the Drive (Commercial Drive that is). Our Airbnb is not too far from this cool and diverse stretch of Vancouver, and while the coffee shop itself isn’t necessarily diverse, it is definitely cool. You can tell this is where the locals come, a few hipsters and a bit of money in the neighbourhood, some of whom look like they’ve been coming here for years.
The coffee is roasted in-house, the massive roaster sitting in plain sight leaves little doubt about that. It adds character to the room and reminds you that they take their roasting seriously. Meanwhile, the person working the till is moving a mile a minute.
This was my first visit, but it quickly became my go-to coffee stop while I’m in the area . . .
for a few days, and on future visits to this part of Van . . . man.“
“I've been enjoying West End Coffee for years. From their espresso blends to single origin coffee, the quality and consistency really stand out. You can tell they're incredibly selective about the green beans they source, which show in every cup. Their Denise tea is also fantastic! The quality is something you can truly taste.“

“Brief coffee stop mid-day on a Tuesday. Had their Iced Caramel Macchiato and an Iced Matcha Latte. At the counter, they ask about sugar preference (sweetened or unsweetened). I added oat milk to my latte for an extra charge of $1.25. Refreshing! The price is on par for most coffee shops or chains out there, but at $8.14 with the oat milk add for a 12 oz, it's not an everyday spend. I did think there was too much ice for my liking as it waters down the matcha with time, so if I return, I'd request less. Lots of pockets of seating inside and during sunny days, it's quite bright and welcoming with the windows and layout. We didn't feel rushed although it wasn't crowded (and there were a number of people working on laptops). Prompt and friendly service.“

“The separate kitchen area to prepare food means cleaner sandwiches prepared properly. The pastries are baked in-house.“

“A late post, but I stumbled upon this place and it was great! Their pastries are so fresh and flakey.
The vibe there was very chill. As it was on a side street, it was also very quite place, with an open concept, looking over their service counter or seats looking out the window.
Super nice staff too. I asked for a recommendation on the pastries and they didn't disappoint. Very friendly people.
The latte was very good, but the hojicha was a quite weak, compared to most hojicha I have had. I would come back to try other stuff though.
Prices were quite reasonable for the quality you get from here too.“

“I recently visited Pallet Coffee Roasters - Howe Street and had a really solid experience. The space feels modern and welcoming, with plenty of natural light — a great spot to catch up with friends or get some work done.
The coffee was well-balanced and clearly made with care. You can taste the quality of the beans, and the baristas know what they’re doing.
Service was friendly and efficient, even during a busy period. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can get quite crowded and a bit noisy at peak times.
Overall, a dependable coffee spot in downtown Vancouver that I’d happily return to.“

“Really efficient and profession staff. This location gets a lot of traffic due to its location in the financial ish district. Pallet very clearly cares about making coffee and using good ingredients. Their coconut rough (?) is a delicious drink if you enjoy something on the sweeter side. The flavours are well balanced despite it being composed of elements that could easily overpower such a drink. The pastry is satisfactory, not exceptional, but people aren't really ordering that anyways. The design of the interior looks nice enough and is very functional. There are more beautiful and special coffee shops in vancouver, but if you're downtown, you can count on Pallet to get the job done and make it tasty.“

“I love JJBean and this location is my favorite. In addition to being all Canadian and started in Vancouver 30 years ago, the coffee is delicious, food never disappoints and the customer service is amazing. Consistency is something I value in the places I frequent, and JJ Bean is always wonderful and a great experience.“
“Absolutely loved my experience at WFM Coffee Bar! The coffee was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and relaxing, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. You can tell they really care about quality and customer experience. Definitely one of those places that makes you want to come back again. Highly recommend! ☕✨“

“Consistent quality, I have been buying Johns Granville Island Blend for the past 3 years. Up until that time I was always experimenting with different flavors, one day he asked me “what are you looking for in your coffee “ I told him and he recommended G.I.B. It’s the perfect cup for me. John is a master of his craft!“

“Iced americano tastes good. Not bitter, with a pleasant acidity I personally enjoy. The drink was properly cold from the very first sip. I guess that ice cold water was used to dilute the espresso, with ice cubes to maintain the temperature rather than cool it down, which I really appreciate.
The dine in cup was made of hard plastic. Less refined compared to glass or ceramic.
There are window seats with access to natural light, as well as warm lighting, the space overall feels rather dim tho.
Moderate noise, not unbearable, not really ideal for quiet, focused work or studying. With rhythmic and non-calm background music, the space feels more suited to low key conversations between friends.
Steps lead to a second floor, where I can overlook the bar area on the first level. Some unoccupied seats upstairs had small amounts of food crumbs and paper debris. However, the overall level of cleanliness was still acceptable.“
