“It was my first time at this location. It wasn’t busy at all. Staff were exceptionally friendly. I’ve tried a few different flavours at their other location and I’d say their ice cream is best so far. Usually, I avoid trying pistachio flavour at every ice cream store because the taste of pistachio comes out very weird. However, I still decided to try pistachio here… I’d say it was better than other stores but still 2/5. So, I’d say avoid pistachio at any cost. I didn’t want to lower down the rating just because of one flavour, try other flavours they’re the best!!!“
“Phenomenal Ice Cream. Large Selection of Delicious Flavors. They are very accommodating for dietary restrictions (lots of options) for nut, dairy, gluten, etc Free. Friendly Staff. Great Prices. Bathroom onsite. All their to go products are biodegradable even the plastic spoons. Lots of free samples. Overall this is a top notch ice cream joint if you want creative delicious flavors.“
“OMG. So delicious. Hubby and I came across this little gem on one of our Sunday FundayWe have two delicious ice cream sandwiches and couple of made chocolate bars Maple bacon and cinnamon toasts crunch. The young fellow helping us was an absolute sweetheart. He was so helpful ,gave us delicious samples and was so proud of his products. We had a lovely visit and most definitely would come back“
“There is often a line up outside this location in the summer evenings, but it's worth the wait. Some of the best vegan ice cream in Vancouver! Absolutely love the "cookies n cream" and all the other plant-based flavors. Tip: try the vegan sundae with whipped cream and cherries! Best shared with a friend :-)“
“Tried their Bronte Pistachio and Mini Eggs gelato on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The Mini Eggs one was very smooth with bits of mini eggs and a natural periwinkle color. The Bronte Pistachio cost $1.50 extra but well worth it for the smooth rich Pistachio flavor ?“
“Friends have been telling me for years that I would love it here. Finally got the chance to visit and returned a second time within a week's time. Unique and delicious ice cream with the mango coconut sticky rice keeping up to its popular reputation.“
“Best value bubble tea shop I have found. They have an extensive menu. My favorites are the fruit and ice cream bubble teas. I love the weekly deal that they have. I have frequented this place so much that it is now my go-to bubble tea shop. I tried to look through my gallery for a picture, but apparently, I'm too excited to drink the bubble tea to pause for a picture.“
“Heard allot about this place and the images of their donuts look amazing…so I went to take look myself.Well they didn’t let me down, donuts look even better in person, and a good size donuts. Not only fancy designed, but delicious, the dough is nice and fluffy, not chewing like you find in other places…which in my opinion set them apart.“
“Absolute hidden gem! I literally used to work in the area and walk past here every day and didn't even notice it was there. Today I was out driving around and got in the mood for something sweet, so I typed "ice cream" into Google maps and this was the closest one to me. Even though I was following the map I passed it because there's no really good signage out front. When you walk up, you get that feeling that you don't know what to expect when you go inside but OMG it is so cutely designed with the Mexican sugar skulls and bare cedar walls.Their ice cream is quite possibly the best I've ever had, I went with the salted caramel and literally said WOW out loud to myself at first bite. They also have some chips, cookies and a couple of other little snacks but go for the ice cream ?!The girl behind the counter was lovely, great customer service and personality ?I will be back.“
“A small, but delicious simple ice cream. Taco Tuesday is a great deal. Is it worth the drive?...if your in the area, yes go and try. The service was on point. They could have recommended or described the ice cream better but...it's all in the name. Not someplace to chill for long period of time but great place to end a long day in the city.“
“Delightful little neighbourhood cafe near Granville Island (took over the old Starbucks location). Tasty baked goods, lots of different teas and super friendly staff.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible, accessible washroom and door buttons. Super helpful staff who will bring beverages to your table.“
“I love this place so much. Me and my boyfriend go here monthly, the staff are always so lovely, and the pizza is so nice. For our recent visit, it was my boyfriend's birthday and the server went the extra mile and put a candle in a cookie skillet. I sadly didn't catch her name but she was Irish and so friendly. Thanks so much to her and all the other staff for amazing customer service and food.“
“The cones are freshly made in-store, so they taste very good. The ice cream is good too. Expect long queues as the weather gets warmer, but the service moves quickly. There are limited seats inside, but there's plenty of public seating outside across the street. I highly recommend the peanut butter flavor.“
“I come here regularly, I love the drink options and the food they have. The ice cream is nice and they have great flavours I can’t find anywhere else. I look forward to coming here. The staff are all very nice and welcoming!Parking: In front of the store as well as across the streetWheelchair accessibility: I’ve seen wheelchairs come in. The entrance is on the same level as the sidewalk. Inside is spacious enough to maneuver, and the large table in the middle is a great height.“
“Step into a world of delectable delights at this local drink and yogurt and yummy treats shop where each spoonful tells a story of hand-rolled perfection. The yogurt, a tantalizing blend of freshness and creaminess, dances on your taste buds like a symphony of flavors. With each bite, I was transported to a realm where freshness reigns supreme, and every swirl is a testament to artisanal mastery. Prepare to be dazzled by the sheer deliciousness that awaits you in every cup of yogurt – it's not just a treat; it's an experience that will leave you craving more! They also have tons of coffee, teas, smoothies and other drink selections. This place is a hidden gem and you GOTTA CHECK THEM OUT! Amazing 10 stars! Thanks ! I’ll be back !Vegetarian options: Veggie items galoreDietary restrictions: Lots of vegan itemsParking: Lots of nearby parkingKid-friendliness: Lots of kids items on menuWheelchair accessibility: Easy one floor only“
“Personally found the drinks better than the food they provide. Ordered the Yakult Strawberry Yogurt and the Strawberry Banana Yogurt. Both were good choices and a change of pace from the regular milk tea places. The consistency is more thick but still smooth to drink. If you haven't tried this place yet, I would go and find out how good an alternative to milk teas and other teas can be. What brought my rating down was the food experience. The Matcha Yuzu Bun was really hard to eat (literally could not use the plastic spoon to break into the bun) and seemed bland. Overall, great drinks and the space is moderately nice to sit and spend some time with others. Does not hold a lot of people. The worker was also nice and friendly.“
“Came here for an evening dessert on the weekend while visiting Vancouver. It was busy with small rushes of big parties at a time. Even with the crowd, they were very friendly and allowed you to sample the flavors before placing your order. You can order the gelato in a cup, cone, between cookies, in a milkshake, as a sundae, in a float, etc... Sampled a few flavors before settling on 2 scoops in a cup. There's a few tables inside and outside to grab a seat while you eat. Gelato was very good, very flavorful, but not overly sweet. I wish I had the opportunity to come back to try different flavors in the different ways it can be served.“
“??Yuzu: MY FAV ?? The cream is very light and almost not sweet, the yuzu custard is sour and refreshing, and the yuzu jam on the top has a rustic texture and is the main source of sweetness in the entire tart. Although the tart shell is not as stunning as the buttery flavor of batard tart, it better matches the fresh flavor profile of the entire tart. The taste is very layered, and you won’t feel sweet at all after eating the whole thing.??Caramel banana puff: I originally wanted to eat walnut earl gray, but I never got it. I rarely eat desserts that feature bananas, but this one is really good. The cream is light and has a slight caramel flavor, relying on the caramel and banana puree on top to add sweetness. There are actually bananas inside the puff pastry, and the slightly hard texture (I really hate soft bananas??) goes well with the caramel sauce(?). The puff pastry is still crispy even if it is placed in the refrigerator for two hours, and it is not greasy because it is not heavy with oil. IMO it has richer taste than beta5 and is more worth eating.??sea salt chocolate: The dark chocolate mousse is rich and slightly bitter, and the sponge cake is not strong. It is delicious but not as amazing as the previous two.The packaging is very exquisite and has the feel of a domestic cake shop. I look forward to trying the matcha tart and walnut earl gray puff in the store!“
“My go to for gelato in Vancouver!Love their flavor variety! You’re only allowed 3 tries per visit which is fine with me cause I pick them randomly anyways but preferably anything with chocolate or coffee. This time around I had their Belgian Chocolate Brownie gelato! Wow amazing! So creamy!Coming from a Chinese culture I saw that the flavor of their month was White Rabbit Candy gelato. I am so sorry but that doesn’t taste like it; better luck next time!Highly Recommended!Vegetarian options: Some itemsDietary restrictions: Some itemsParking: First come first serve basisKid-friendliness: It’s gelato come on!“
“Rain or Shine is my favourite Ice Cream place and this is my first time to come to this location at UBC.Compared with the location I normally go to on Cambie, this location at UBC is very small. There are not many seats you can sit inside the store. I didn’t feel comfortable for having a seat right by the door. However, it was also a bit too chilly for me to stand and enjoy my ice cream outside. We had single two flavours today. In my opinion, it is the better deal that allows you to try two flavours at the same time. It is also a more responsible choice if you need to watch your calorie intake. We went for two seasonal flings - Miso Dulcey Choc and Malt Choc Honeycomb. They were both surprisingly good and could not decide which one is better. Perhaps, Miso Dulcey Choc was more unexpected. It kind of had a creamy texture which we enjoyed. Malt Choc Honeycomb tasted like Milo - the malt chocolate drink that we grew up with.“
“I was here early Sunday morning. The place was quite empty and that is what I was needing. The place looks very spacious with a minimalist table and chair selection. The barista knew what she was doing. This place is a great alternative to generic Starbucks coffee houses. On top of great coffee they offer a quiet number of ice cream / gelato options.“
“Picked up a selection of items from Say Hello Sweets earlier this year using my Plant Curious coupons! It's a small shop and the staff member had to unlock the front door to let us in (this was in the early evening). Their Ice Dream Sandwiches were great, they're a nice plant-based alternative to the regular chocolate/vanilla sandwiches. Although, they're not cheap at $8.50 per sandwich. They only had their Strawberry Freeze-Dried Ice Cream available at the time I went. These were our least favourite; they are so sweet, too sweet in my opinion. I suppose it's the cane sugar and coconut milk. I would skip this item and instead get their signature ice cream cubes. Meet Your Matcha is the best plant-based ice cream I've ever had. The matcha flavour is so potent, it's creamy and everything you want in an ice cream! The packaging is paper so it melts quite quickly (and gets sticky) when it's not kept frozen, so work fast when you're taking some out to eat. Would recommend overall!“
“The store has a really charming aesthetic. The drinks are a great size and reasonable price to others in the area. Lots of options for drinks and snacks. The management is caring, and the staff are friendly and quick. Their website ordering is very convenient . Will continue to drink their delicious popping boba!“
“Love the concept! Ice cream sandwiches are fantastic to begin with, but when you add in gluten free and the ability to customize your own ice cream sandwiches so many incredible ice cream flavours, 10/10!The only reason I didn’t give this place a full 5 stars is because the cookies could have been a little better. But maybe it’s just the chocolate chip one that wasn’t the greatest. In any case, would recommend the mini ice cream sandwich!Parking: Side streets have parking!“
“Everyone working here was incredibly friendly and the ice cream was fantastic. I got the Easter cream egg ice cream and it was unbelievably good. Our kids got two other flavours and after tasting theirs too, I realized there was no bad decision here. Would highly recommend popping by.“
“The vegan pistachio is the bomb! It was so smooth and full of flavour. Definitely didn't taste dairy free at all. The location is in a tricky spot, however, with zero areas to park. Would recommend stopping by while on foot instead of travelling by car.“
“So glad my friend brought me to this locally owned shop today. The double ginger cookie with marshmallow buttercream icing inside was *delicious* - the kind of sweet treat that'll have me coming back for more. I look forward to trying the homemade ice cream next time. And great to have a chat with the friendly owner, Michael, outside.“
“I was really keen on trying the crème brûlée sandwich but sadly they had run out of it by then time we reached. They suggested that we could choose an alternate sandwich of choice and they’d brûlée it for us. So we ended up trying a brûlée-d vanilla oat milk ice cream sandwich and it delivered. The biscuit was the right amount of buttery and thick. The ice cream wasn’t too sweet which I loved! And the brûlée on top was a chef’s kiss! It’s also a super satisfying expirience to watch the ice cream theatrics happen in front of you!“
“I was there , ordered breakfast sandwich it tasted amazing, their coffee is alwats good and consistent, i really liked the presentation , blueberry scone was also very good, gelato is like what i had in Italy , tried the pistachio and cherry chocolate .“
“This place is awesome! Kristina is so sweet and attentive and provides outstanding hospitality! I came here to treat my mother to a birthday treat and Kristina gave it on the house. Great quality gelato and service! I highly recommend this place!“
“Excellent food and wonderful service! Loving the new decor and expanded dessert menu. They are now serving milano coffee, my favorite Vancouver roaster! The owner was so sweet and chatty - my daughter and I really enjoyed our afternoon treat there after her doctors appointment.“
“Really delicious gelato. Some of the family got the sorbetto (diary free) and loved those too! We recommend the mango, the new fashion chocolate, the midnight chocolate, the coconut, the pumpkin pecan bread, and the oreo. We can’t wait to return!“
“Finally tried their pizza after years, and loved it. Big slices, bit more expensive than shops outside but worth trying. The shop always has a lineup when I go and seating around the area is limited so a pizza slice is a good food option in the market. Try their margarita or cheese slices, they look good!“
“I love this place so much!!! The service is great, the prices are amazing and the drinks are always delicious! I love getting they’re green teas and fresh fruit slushes. They have a great variety of food, drinks, and other great desserts! And the lady who commonly works there is kind and always gets my order correct! It always brings a smile to my face when I come here, and I will definitely keep coming here! Great place would definitely recommend this amazing family ran business!“
“Cute little in-house gelato place, right in the tiny square outside by the water. We got their dark chocolate, hazelnut chocolate, and raspberry lime flavored gelato and they were INCREDIBLE! Especially the raspberry lime one!! I'll definitely be back for that one, and to try the lemon flavor !“
“This is my favourite ice cream place in town! They have a wide selection of different toppings, syrups, flavours etc. They also have coffee that is absolutely delicious. I like that the ice cream is organic and made in house. It doesn't taste overly sugary too which is nice. I've been to the Gastown and Metrotown locations and they are both wonderful.“
“Got the #26 and #52 strawberry Nutella crepe with cream and similar with vanilla ice cream. My kids loved both and we ended up getting it again one or two days later (we were on vacation. If you're on Robson Street and looking for a dessert this is a good option.“
“The staff was very friendly and there is a great selection of ice cream! The name has factory in it, but the portions are not massive - they have portions from "I want ice cream now" to "I want ice cream for a month".Their variety packs also give a nice assortment of flavours and types of ice cream :)“
“Been here several times now, but finally decided write a review after another great visit. Young woman running the shop today was super nice and made an excellent osmanthus rice milk tea. Diverse menu with options not available at most bbt shops. Excellent execution everytime and relatively “cheap”: easily one of my faves bbts in Vancouver. Only knock against it is that they’re sometimes take a bit longer to make the drinks“
“One of my favourites. Earnest a couple of blocks south is good too but Amato's has a lighter texture that makes them more enjoyable for me, and they have approx a billion varieties. Earnest's heavier texture and more cloying sweetness can get in the way of their flavours sometimes; Amato feels fresher and the flavours always pop.Prices are totally fair. A few chocolate-dipped cone options, which are nice. Nice stuff in the freezer section too like the gelato-based desserts.“
“That's a great varieties, hits the spot for sure. Best of all is even though it's a small place, it doesn't get over the crowded like other locations can during peak hours in the summertime. The seating is not as comfortable as one would hope, but it makes good sense, considering they're trying to get customers in and out as fast as possible. They have a variety of different options for shaved ice, so if you want something different from your friends you certainly can have a more individual size helping of Shave Ice. Talking about this, makes me want to have some right now... Don't be afraid to try other types of desserts such as almond desserts or other Asian style hot desserts. They have both in-house seating as well as ordering out options. Oh look quite quaint in size, it's fairly cute for what it is. Just don't be alarmed if you see some ants on the tables as this is quite common every time we go there. Just gently pick them up and put them on the windowsill or something and enjoy your food. I mean they like she dies too so you know hahaha aside from that place seems fairly clean as a whole. It is definitely one of my go-to's and has been for a while so if you can make it to this particular location, feel free to check out the other locations as well. The gear more towards Hong Kong style desserts then Taiwanese desserts in these locations aside from the shaved ice, so give all the other stuff a try I don't think you'll be disappointed. At least I surely wasn't when I tried the other stuff! A good tip, get it with ice cream if you want shaved ice. You can never go wrong with ice cream. Oh, I would also definitely try the honey toast, it is absolutely amazing. The only advice I'd give you is that you might need at least two or three people to help you eat it, since it is quite huge and quite feeling, considering it's almost like a brick of Chinese bread, or maybe a little less but not by much. All in all super delicious you won't regret it if you like honey.“
“Loved this place. A great place in downtown Vancouver. Prolly the best ice cream I had in Canada. The ice cream was exquisite. We had Pistachio, Nutella, Walnut flavours and they were just awesome. The ambiance was nice and relaxing. The architecture was very beautiful.I will definitely visit again. A must try place“
“Got to try out this food truck at the Greater Van Food Truck Fest! Crema was quite popular with their sweet dessert offerings. The Cookie Monster ice cream is super delicious and the speciality offerings comes with a fresh bubble waffle. Unfortunately, because the bubble waffle is made fresh, it took forever to get the dessert. I believe we were told to come back 30 mins“
“I agree that the cake decorator here was AMAZING and the cake turned out so beautiful! The whole cake and frosting was a beautiful color. I was desperate to find a Dairy Queen that had a cake printer after another location said theirs broke (and didn't tell me until after 1-2 days) and being short on time I scored all around trying to find a Dairy Queen that would at the given time. Most of the stores didn't pick up the phone / didn't respond in time / hung up and didn't call back / didn't had a printer. I called this location and the guy easily said they can do it, no stress on the phone.I loved the little details they put on the cake, I would have loved to meet the decorator.I would definitely order from them again!!! Thank you!“
“We love this little hidden gem on Granville Island. We often treat ourself with their homemade ginger ale after our walk during the summer. Sometimes, their gelato - they have matcha green tea and black sesame that I enjoy. However, on a cloudy winter day, we tried their hot beverages today. We had a hot ginger brew, small for $4.4. It tasted like a hot version of their ginger ale but less sweet and gingery, plus a piece of lemon. I loved it.Also, a hot ginger latte, small for $4.6. It had a robust ginger flavour, it was smooth and had a sweet after taste.A mango smoothie which had a lot of mango you could see.You had to go to the back of the Granville Island and an alley called Shops of Creekhouse. It is kind of next to/ behind the Sand Bar.The place is run by a couple and they are nice and polite. The interior is cozy and I like it is always clean. I also love the little details of the tables. Each table is different and is like a little display for some artworks.Total costed $16.4; being promoted by the machine, if you choose to tip, they only ask for 5%, 10% to start with. This little place will remain as our hidden gem on Granville Island.“
“Holy WOW! This place was unbelievable. My hubby and I were in Vancouver for a few days and decided to come by here one late night around 12am. And yes, they were STILL open at that time of day because they realize that ice cream should be eaten at every time of day, including the early morning hours lol. The menu was crazy. But we finally decided on "Lemon my F.A.O." and "Brand Spanking". Both were completely different flavor-wise but incredibly delicious and sooooo good. While we waited for them to be made we looked around the super cute shop and enjoyed the very "perverted" merch and items for sale. It's a unique vibe and something that's fun to experience alongside the crazy ice cream creations. Definitely will be back again to try other flavors when we come back to Vancouver!!“
“What a great place! Finally stopped in to Le Parfait for some lebanese ice cream today and will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items. The large cup comes with three flavours, which is perfect! I got the miska (I think this one was my favourite), ashta, and lotus biscoff.“
