I have driven past Mario's many times over the years but decided to try it after a friend said that this is one of the best places for Gelato in Vancouver. Inside, it's wall to wall of different Gelato's and sorbetto's flavour. In fact there was so much choice it was hard to decide. In the end, I went for Blackcurrant and vanilla which was very tasty. Great ice cream but such a shame that they have done away with letting us sample. It used to be so great there and exciting for the kids. Sadly they are following Scrooge’s frugal policy.

The gelato felt a bit too artificial in flavour for me, and the churning could have been smoother. When I think gelato and fancy places, this wouldn’t be where I go. More out of convenience type of thing to go to. However, the factory seconds are great deals! I also like the kiwi strawberry popsicle.
