“Absolutely outstanding bakery! Serrano Bakery is a true gem in Vancouver. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly baked goods and a beautiful display of Greek and European specialties. Everything tastes homemade, authentic, and crafted with care.

The pastries are phenomenal, the breads are fresh and flavorful, and the traditional Greek items brought me straight back to the bakeries of Montreal and Greece. Quality ingredients, generous portions, and consistently excellent taste.

“The mango cake here is phenomenal, every bite was super creamy, moist, and fluffy. All the fruit that we had was so fresh, I have never been more impressed with cake. “Worst owner to deal with. She will ignore you and instead of assisting you, calls you indecisive even though you are giving her your business... Honestly, she's the worst at any customer service and doesn't take accountability. Also, the cakes are mediocre at best.“

“Walk in and order walk out happier. Why do I wait so long between visits!? This place is awesome! The Banh Mi buns are always fresh and rewarded upon order. With a slight crusty crunch with morsels of tender yumminess on the inside!
I order the Roasted Pork Belly and my “partner in crime” ordered Lemongrass Chicken, both of which were exquisite!
Service is efficient to keep the line moving, but with a few chairs inside and a bench outside there still a chance to savour the flavour-flavour (and if there’s leftovers maybe some for later).“

The staff were all very welcoming, and I had a nice chat with Ava, she kindly introduced me to more pastry options.

“After trying most of Vancouver's well-known bakeries, Beyond Bread is the one that stood out to me. If you're serious about sourdough, this is as close as I've found to the real thing in the city.

The owner trained in France, and it shows in the craftsmanship. My favourites are the Light Rye and the Country Loaf—both have a beautiful crust, an inviting aroma, and the kind of texture you'd expect from a proper loaf. The flavour is good overall, although I still think there's a little room for improvement to make it truly exceptional.

The bakery itself is small, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a nice place to stop by whether you're picking up a loaf or enjoying a coffee. For anyone searching for sourdough in Vancouver, Beyond Bread would be my first recommendation.“

“Ordered a gluten-free Ferrero Rocher cake from Mayito Exquisite for Thanksgiving which was a true delight! It was incredibly moist with a rich hazelnut ganache that elevates every bite. Each slice melts in your mouth, perfectly complemented by crunchy Hazelnut and caramel accents. A must-try for anyone, gluten-free or not!“

These are simply amazing and I am slowly working my way through all the flavours that are on offer. So far have had the opportunity to sample: red bean & cream cheese, mocheese, garlic butter cream cheese, honey butter, and teriyaki mochi. All amazing choices that you can’t go wrong with.

They are super chewy and stuffed, and if you have the opportunity to have them heated, it just takes them up that extra notch into divine.

While it’s set up as a grab-and-go, there’s a great sitting area right outside the storefront in the buildings underground, complete with tv, arcade games, and a water fountain.“

I was finally able to bring my children; I knew that once they set foot in the bakery, the fragrant scent of baked goods, they would enjoy it as much as I did. They sure did, they tried the donuts and cookies. One can never go wrong with their coconut cream buns or pineapple buns. I also like to grab a bag of cinnamon rolls or raisin butter tarts for the fam.“

I had to catch em all like Pokémon..Racel makes the baked goods with quality and less than 6-8 ingredients which I love the most about this next to being very very delicious. “Have been wanting to check out Paris Baguette for some time now so decided to pop in this afternoon and was impressed with their showcases of pastry, breads and cakes! Everything looked amazing:))))
Went with a hybrid cross of a donut and croissant called the coffee croissant donut an easy 10/10 so flakey and fresh with a great crumb. Highly recommend
To bring home I went with a small loaf brioche style dough brushed with butter and condensed sweetened milk…….i mean how can you go wrong.
Really enjoyed the set up where you walk in grab a tray and your own set of tongs and go to town!
Will definitely return as there were other selections that looked incredible! If you haven’t went yet do yourself a favour and indulge at Paris Baguette 🥰“

“Original New Town is one of Cambie Village's most beloved spots. This is the epitome of a Mom & Pop shop. The owners are lovely people and everything here is made with love and is absolutely delicious. The spicy beef steam buns are my personal favourite. Buy them frozen by the dozen!“
