“To Live For is worth driving from another country to visit! I live in the US, but make the drive frequently to enjoy their incredible baked goods, both sweet and savory. It is such a welcoming environment with incredible staff too. Highly recommend if you are anywhere near East Vancouver!“

“Lovely family bakery with personality. This modern bakery sells a variety of baked goods and constantly updates their menu with seasonal items. Call ahead if you're really looking for one specific thing but we are usually satisfied with whatever they have to offer.

Items we often find in-store include focaccia bread, sub sandwiches (variety of meat and cheese), sausage rolls, hotdog bacon bun, apple or raspberry pie, pizza pockets, cookies cookies cookies, banana bread, cinnamon rolls, crusty bread, brownies, chocolate tart, etc. They are creative, delicious and sometimes with an Italian or Asian twist. All developed and created by the wife owner.

Drink offerings are are hit too. I love their hochija and matcha (they use ceremonial grade). And the husband owner of the cafe has a knowledgeable background in espressos.

Atmosphere is casual fun, they have many many baking and cooking books to look at and purchase for $5. They also sell imported fancy olive oil, pasta sauce, and some easy gift ideas etc.

“Picked up 4 cookies before taking the Rocky Mountaineer train to Banff. They were each out of this world and I wish I could snap my fingers and be right there, any time I wanted. Never had anything like this, anywhere else.“

“Delicious treat, I especially love the sweet red bean with walnuts, and the vanilla custard ones. They're not too sweet, but just the right amount. Best eaten right away while hot.
The owner is very nice and runs the store solo, but makes everything very quickly, I had to wait 8 minutes to get my order freshly made.“

We were over at Granville Island when we were suggested to make the trip to Lemonade Gluten-Free Bakery. We decided to take the walk, and it was so well worth it! Every single dessert we tried was decadent, perfectly sweet, and truly a delicious delight. You'd never even guess everything is gluten-free. We couldn't leave without buying a bunch more to take home for later. Well worth the visit—we will definitely be back!“

“Good variety of Asian bakery and dim sum items for take-away in Chinatown.

No seating, with constant flow of people.

I enjoyed the sui mai, deep fried dumplings, the many buns (steamed & baked), sticky rice, and the cocktail buns.
For dessert, the coconut cream buns are my go to.

Less expensive than comparable bakers for the same product & quality.“

I was finally able to bring my children; I knew that once they set foot in the bakery, the fragrant scent of baked goods, they would enjoy it as much as I did. They sure did, they tried the donuts and cookies. One can never go wrong with their coconut cream buns or pineapple buns. I also like to grab a bag of cinnamon rolls or raisin butter tarts for the fam.“

I’m a carnivore, but even I have my secrets. When I cheat, it’s only here, and my wife doesn’t need to know. Their cheeky bread, baguettes, and croissants are worth every stolen bite, made with real ingredients and, I believe, none of that fortified flour. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t seem to bother me, or maybe it’s just true love.“
