“Solid ratio of goat cheese to guava, been sold out 2 times I’ve attempted to go. Annabelle’s gets pretty busy despite being a small shop, they have outside seating they set up which seems very lively. The service has been friendly every time I’ve been and they got options for people with dietary restrictions which is great.“

“BaHar you kidding me? This was so good. We got the turkey sandwich, pistachio baklava, and a frangipane brioche bun and everything was a huge hit. The bread they use for the sandwich is incredible (make sure to get it heated up, it's 10/10 crispy). Baklava tastes like the best pistachio and cardamom, and the frangipane brioche is not too sweet, but perfectly soft! Plus the staff were so kind! Will absolutely be coming back.“

“Zeeka was amazing for providing our staff with desserts yesterday! Our staff were so happy with all the different tarts, pies and cheesecake! I should've bought more. Especially the pistachio tart! We ordered the biscoff and strawberry cheesecakes and the pistachio tart and apple pie. I heard nothing but great things. You did an amazing job. Great customer service, super easy to get a hold of, extremely responsive and very well-priced. Thank you again. I'm sure we will order more from your cafe and bakery in the future!“

“I've been going to Bâtard for several years -- my favourite bakery in town and worth the 15 minute drive. Great bread & scones, pastry to die for, and wonderful atmosphere for a lunch. I'm more than a little suspicious by several coordinated reviews which trash the place, particularly as one of the reviews is by an owner of the new bakery which just moved in across the street ... hmmmm ...“

“Hammy enjoyed this one. Not typical looking to others I’ve had but very tasty.

Tasted fresh and full of flavour. The pastry was flaky and not too over powering.

The lady at the front that helped me was so cute & sweet. The place is family run by actual Jamaicans so you know the ting is good.

Only costed $3.15, easy on Hammy’s furry pocket.

Only note is that they didn’t have coco bread, that’s Hammy’s preferred patty experience but would recommend if you’re passing by the area.

“Nice little shop on Commercial and 13th. Lots of baked goods to choose from. However, there is no seating available. There may be two tables outside the shop, but they were wet because it was a rainy day. The coffee is the darker roast style.“

“I finally got to visit this bakery to get gluten-free cravings fixed. I had bought a lot of items and I will update the review as I tried them.

First thing I had was the butter croissant. It was very dense and filling. It does not taste like your typical croissant.

Today, I had the mocha hazelnut profiteroles (cream puff). It was a bit too sweet for me. I didn't really taste the mocha and hazelnut.

I had the vanilla chocolate profiteroles. It is good if you put it in the freezer before. Taste like an ice cream treat.

Carrot cake with real cream cheese icing is delicious. I would order this again.“

The owner is very nice and runs the store solo, but makes everything very quickly, I had to wait 8 minutes to get my order freshly made.“

“I bought a Strawberry Shortcake cake from Mayito and it's by far the best cake I've had in this city, really flavorful, the bread was moist and spongy. I've had their brioche Rosca de Reyes before and I can say quality and flavor its their standard. Do yourself a flavour and indulge in any of Mayitos desserts.“

“After trying most of Vancouver's well-known bakeries, Beyond Bread is the one that stood out to me. If you're serious about sourdough, this is as close as I've found to the real thing in the city.

The owner trained in France, and it shows in the craftsmanship. My favourites are the Light Rye and the Country Loaf—both have a beautiful crust, an inviting aroma, and the kind of texture you'd expect from a proper loaf. The flavour is good overall, although I still think there's a little room for improvement to make it truly exceptional.

The bakery itself is small, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a nice place to stop by whether you're picking up a loaf or enjoying a coffee. For anyone searching for sourdough in Vancouver, Beyond Bread would be my first recommendation.“

“We had a big craving for bagels and were intrigued by the mochi addition. Overall the bagels were delicious, with chewi consistency. You don't need cream cheese.

- DOUBLE CHOCOLATE: chocolate bagel filled with gooey chocolate
- RED BEAN & CREAM CHEESE: red bean was a good subtle flavor
- MOCHI MATCHA: mochi inside, making it even chewier, subtle matcha flavor
- APPLE CINNAMON: comes with pieces of apple
- GARLIC BUTTER CREAM CHEESE: our favorite of the bunch, tasted like a garlic knot
- HONEY BUTTER: our least favorite, since it was less unique than the others

Ambiance:
- Hours are late for a bagel shop
- Shop is hard to find, go underground
- Seating is outside the shop in the common area of the building
- Staff are friendly and you can see them making the bagels in the back“

“I had the very best experience at Cookies by George as I came in to purchase a dozen cookies about 30 minutes before closing. I was craving the cappuccino chocolate chunk cookie but the woman in front of me purchased the last two! Oh, I was so sad! However, the employee, Namarta was very kind and baked 6 fresh cappuccino cookies for me so that I could enjoy them fresh and leave satisfied. 5 stars for great service. Thanks Namarta!“

“Have been wanting to check out Paris Baguette for some time now so decided to pop in this afternoon and was impressed with their showcases of pastry, breads and cakes! Everything looked amazing:))))
Went with a hybrid cross of a donut and croissant called the coffee croissant donut an easy 10/10 so flakey and fresh with a great crumb. Highly recommend
To bring home I went with a small loaf brioche style dough brushed with butter and condensed sweetened milk…….i mean how can you go wrong.
Really enjoyed the set up where you walk in grab a tray and your own set of tongs and go to town!
Will definitely return as there were other selections that looked incredible! If you haven’t went yet do yourself a favour and indulge at Paris Baguette 🥰“
