“BaHar you kidding me? This was so good. We got the turkey sandwich, pistachio baklava, and a frangipane brioche bun and everything was a huge hit. The bread they use for the sandwich is incredible (make sure to get it heated up, it's 10/10 crispy). Baklava tastes like the best pistachio and cardamom, and the frangipane brioche is not too sweet, but perfectly soft! Plus the staff were so kind! Will absolutely be coming back.“

“Absolutely outstanding bakery! Serrano Bakery is a true gem in Vancouver. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly baked goods and a beautiful display of Greek and European specialties. Everything tastes homemade, authentic, and crafted with care.

“Hands down the BEST cake ever! 🎂🍓🥭 We order the mango cake every year, but this time we added strawberries because my daughter absolutely loves them! Helen was so sweet and even gave me a better price with the extra strawberries on top. 🥹💕 The cake was such a hit that our guests were going back for seconds and even thirds! “Hammy enjoyed this one. Not typical looking to others I’ve had but very tasty.

Tasted fresh and full of flavour. The pastry was flaky and not too over powering.

The lady at the front that helped me was so cute & sweet. The place is family run by actual Jamaicans so you know the ting is good.

Only costed $3.15, easy on Hammy’s furry pocket.

Only note is that they didn’t have coco bread, that’s Hammy’s preferred patty experience but would recommend if you’re passing by the area.

“I stopped by this bakery during my lunch break yesterday and everything was really delicious. The croissants had beautiful, well-defined layers and a perfect shape.
My favorite was the Pesto Focaccia. The cheese and tomatoes on top were delicious, and I especially liked that it wasn’t overly greasy. Definitely a great spot for pastries and baked goods.“

“It’s a small store with only a guy working, I’m assuming it’s the owner. I got the 3 pieces red bean pastry for $5. It took around 10minutes wait. It was a bit oily and I really wish they have given me some napkins. The red bean fillings wasn’t too sweet. Maybe next time I will try different flavours.“

Located in a corner by the water, the outside is super dreamy looking.
My friends ended wanted to get the macalato.
We ended up relaxing outside by the water.

“I bought a Strawberry Shortcake cake from Mayito and it's by far the best cake I've had in this city, really flavorful, the bread was moist and spongy. I've had their brioche Rosca de Reyes before and I can say quality and flavor its their standard. Do yourself a flavour and indulge in any of Mayitos desserts.“

“After trying most of Vancouver's well-known bakeries, Beyond Bread is the one that stood out to me. If you're serious about sourdough, this is as close as I've found to the real thing in the city.

The owner trained in France, and it shows in the craftsmanship. My favourites are the Light Rye and the Country Loaf—both have a beautiful crust, an inviting aroma, and the kind of texture you'd expect from a proper loaf. The flavour is good overall, although I still think there's a little room for improvement to make it truly exceptional.

The bakery itself is small, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a nice place to stop by whether you're picking up a loaf or enjoying a coffee. For anyone searching for sourdough in Vancouver, Beyond Bread would be my first recommendation.“

“Cute little bakery. Tried the sausage rolls (great with flaky pastry and not too doughy), almond cookies, chocolate chip cookies. Would have liked to try other things but we went too late probably. Will definitely return. They have cute little gingerbread men cookies and jelly doughnuts too.“

“We came in for a morning coffee, ordered a cappuccino and flat white. My barista accidentally used cows milk when I ordered oat, but quickly caught his mistake before I sipped my cup. He handled his genuine mistake prompt and swift.

We enjoyed the flat white although I wish the aesthetics would have matched my first cup 😂.

Regardless the cafe had good energy.
The cafe plays mellow music like Bruce Springsteen and the pastries look incredible.

“Bring cash before you come to Maxim's as the bakery only takes cash. It's a staple of Chinatown, as they have been operating at the same location for as long as I remember. It's worth a visit if you want some food in the area.“

“Everytime i come to Vancouver, I have to stop here to get the traditional pork buns. This is way better than NEW TOWN Bakery. This is worth it to walk over and support a mom and pop shop from Hk.
The lady is so nice and all their bakery gooda are so good. Very cheap for the quality.“

“Love the garlic butter cream cheese ($5.50)! Definitely pricey for a bagel, but the flavours are unique and the bagel is super chewy.
Also tried to Mocheese (mochi and cheese) but you’ve been warned that it’s tiring to chew. Just a light airfry makes it taste super fresh if you’re getting takeout.

I’ve also tried the Pacific ($16) with Smoked sockeye salmon, pickled onions, cured cucumber, lettuce, shiso, caper crisps, shiso ume cream cheese. Highlight was the shiso.

Cute little store that’s quite difficult/hidden to locate, especially during construction. Head downstairs if you’re entering from the street.“
