“QAe brought in multiple hangry chaos kids and ordered a ton of food with substitutions and tweaks to how the food gets plated (to appease the various kid idiosynchracies) - and the staff was friendly, understanding, and so incredibly patient with us. On top of all of that, the food came out perfectly as we'd requested, and it was all delicious.
While they may look like the kind of trendy cutesy place that might end up valuing appearance over service, the knocked it out of the park.“

I'm obsessed with the marmalade that they give you (not too sweet or bitter). The charcuterie we got was of high quality ingredients. Meats were not too salty. Waffle we got was light. Would recommend if you're looking for a clean and light meal. The interior was bright and comfortable and perfect for after hike spot.“

“Love this spot, the Cinnabon bun is the best I’ve found on the north shore, the selection of gifts and cards are always excellent and the ice cream is delicious. Staff is always so friendly, and they seem to a positive hub for multiple community groups to meet up. They also support other local businesses and artists with their community wall, and merchandise.
This is truly a gem of a cafe here in north van.“

“Loveliest little shop that serves delicious pastries, sandwiches, soups, specialty beverages, etc. There are also Italian groceries and tons of beautiful treats. It's so cozy and warm, and currently beautifully decorated for Christmas; a highlight this time of year is the eggnog latte, perfectly foamed and spiced. Every team member I've dealt with over the past few days during my visit here from Ontario has been lovely, kind, and accommodating, and if I lived here, you can be sure I'd be a regular at this warm and inviting neighbourhood spot. “Barrio is one of the better places to get your coffee in Vancouver and if you live or are anywhere in North Van, this is a place you definitely want to go. Coffee is reasonably priced and there is seating inside to enjoy your coffee (appropriately safe during Covid restrictions). The cafe also sells beans if you need beans for home. P.s if you’re an Aussie or a Kiwi you’ll love it as Barrio is run by an Aussie, so you can expect good standards.“

“I stopped by this coffee shop this morning, and I’m really glad I did. The moment you walk in, there’s such a calm, positive, and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that immediately puts you in a better mood.

The lady who served me was especially wonderful. She had such a warm and genuine approach to customer service. I mentioned that I hadn’t slept well the night before, and she kindly offered me a complimentary shot of espresso. It was such a small gesture, but it really made my morning and showed how thoughtful she was.

I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but I hope the owners know what a great person they have on their team. Great atmosphere, great service, and a genuinely nice experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“I have been here a few times now. Both times I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my drink. Today I got the vanilla late with oat milk (pictured,) and last time I got the matcha late. Both delicious!

I find this cafe has a cozy atmosphere, it is just tucked off of Lonsdale. It’s always been quick to get my caffeine drinks here, they also have a selection of sodas and food.

“Such a lovely spot with an amazing view right beside Lonsdale Quay. They have so many different ice cream flavors to choose from, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is super relaxing, especially when sitting outside and enjoying the waterfront view. Perfect place to hang out with friends, go for a walk, or just treat yourself on a nice day. This particular Starbucks is located inside Safeway and it's a smaller branch with just one staff member working at a time.It's worth noting that due to the limited staff, there might be a short wait time for your order. The lone staff member takes your order and prepares your drink, which can result in a few minutes of waiting. However, if you're looking for a faster service, there are other Starbucks locations you can go to.The staff are friendly and the location is near a highway.“

If you haven’t worked in customer service, you may not know how hard it is. “My favourite Starbucks - such a convenient location - and I really appreciate being able to get my favourite (healthier) drink there. Venti Matcha Green Tea latte with non-fat milk and half-sweet - still tastes like a decadent treat!

“The vibe here is really nice. It's located in a small cozy place, and the store has a raw wood feel to it.

I've never had JJ Bean before, and I came in looking for a quick snack to enjoy by the beach.

The maple pecan cookie was scrumptious.

Soft cookie with hints of smoky maple and the crunch from the pecan in every bite are stunning. I would come here for the cookie alone.

Service was quick and friendly.

Again, I liked the atmosphere because of its natural feeling.

Overall, this location is a really neat coffee place that has potential.“
