“I just love this place. The owners are so kind and inviting! Top notch customer service. The food is always fantastic and fair pricing.I tried a salted caramel latte today and it’s the best one I’ve ever had.You must support this local business!“
“Best Hawaiian and Pepperoni pizza I have had in a long time!. Definitely will be coming back and trying other pizzas they have on the menu!Dietary restrictions: I also have severe food allergies, and they were amazing with them. Felt completely safe eating here and I can’t say that very often“
“Whatever amazing things people tell you about this place it is all true! Jam cafe is breakfast food heaven and the food is blessed by angels. I love their egg Benedict. I don’t think I’ve ever had breakfast food as delicious as this place makes breakfast food. My bf does not like pancakes (he’s a weirdo) but loved their red velvet pancakes. I heard after we left that the lattes they make are amazing and it’s unfortunate I did not get to try one. My only complaint is that they don’t have a shop in Toronto where I’m from.“
“Went there 8:00 AM thinking they’d have fresh baked good. Ordered a croissant and a scone. They were at least 1 or 2 days old. Croissant was soggy. The cheese on top came off like rubber and the scone was so dry and stale, it was crumbling. On top of that it cost a fortune. Most definitely a skip. the latte was on par with a Tim Hortons regular coffee. I.e. not a latte at all“
“I stumbled across this place after going to the book store and am so glad I came in! This cozy cafe has such a relaxing ambiance perfect for meeting a friend and catching up or studying. The customer service here is amazing, they are attentive and helpful in suggesting foods/drinks. And my favourite thing of all is that they have the most phenomenal and authentic masala chai (chai tea) that tastes just like drinking chai with my family in India! 10/10 recommend coming here :)“
“I really adore this café... Basically everything about it is wonderful. The drinks are delicious, the food is good, the washrooms are clean, the decor and styling are so stylish and comfortable, there are outlets to do laptop work, the music is thoughtfully chosen and not distracting, and the staff are lovely and friendly. It has such a natural atmosphere with the plants, and I love the concept of bringing back the reusable cups each time. Not only is this good for the environment, but it is also a great way to foster a feeling of community. One of the best cafés in North Van!“
“This is the best coffee location. The coffee and food is always good always fresh. The staff are incredible - they give service with a smile and personally recognise customers when they approach. If you are in the Capilano mall check out Waves - it's a GREAT place to visit.Thank you all for the service.P-R“
“On a rainy afternoon, I tried their chili (small bowl), and a club sandwich... Filled me to the brim.Let me tell you something, their chilli was warm and thick in consistency...Their club sandwich had a perfect turkey, bacon lettuce, cucumber, tomato ratio....And the chilli, the meat was juicy, the beans were soft yet had a bite to them....Just a warm hearty meal served with a smile and made with love....Thankyou Kenaize.... I love the rains and your food made it perfect for me...“
“My cappuccino was super tasty and extra hot!! Olive oil cake and caprese cake were also very good.Located across from several car shops, this place is perfect for lunch or snack while your car is being worked on.Very busy at 10 am on a weekday. Seems like a popular hangout for local seniors.“
“Barrio is one of the better places to get your coffee in Vancouver and if you live or are anywhere in North Van, this is a place you definitely want to go. Coffee is reasonably priced and there is seating inside to enjoy your coffee (appropriately safe during Covid restrictions). The cafe also sells beans if you need beans for home. P.s if you’re an Aussie or a Kiwi you’ll love it as Barrio is run by an Aussie, so you can expect good standards.“
“Had an incredible lunch experience at Le Petit Café in North Vancouver with friends. The owner, Ashley, went above and beyond to make us feel at home with her friendliness and warm welcome. The coffee was outstanding, and the flavors in their sandwiches and wraps were unparalleled, easily some of the best in North Vancouver. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy spot with delicious food and great coffee. A true gem in the area!“
“I've been to this location before and always have had a great experience! On this particular day I visited two other coffee shops earlier in the morning. And those two coffee shops had drip coffee that tasted like bath water yet the staff thought it was good. This location says the drip coffee is good and it's great they actually do a fantastic job of it and keep up the good work not sure how you get it done but you should teach a lot of these other coffee shops that perhaps had good coffee at one point but the owners bought them out and don't know how to do it right Thank you! The atmosphere is always good The staff is cheery and friendly I like to sit outside with a great view of the mountains!Parking: Street parking catch house catch can meters or some limited timed parking could park at a London drugs down the road but it's a little bit of a walk“
“The coffee is genuinely good, as you'd expect when it's freshly roasted on site! Love that I can buy coffee beans roasted a couple of days prior right in my neighborhood and they also have a nice stock of brewers like aeropress and chemex you can buy.“
“Great food. Great dietary options. Great service. Locally sourced ingredients. And every plant has a name.Historic site with a write up on the wall.Grab your goodies and a putter a few balls, cross the street and practice some putting on the free to use putting course.“
“This spot has really captured the essence of what a community coffee shop ought to be. The service is fantastic, the drinks are delicious, and there's always a lively buzz. Plus, the attached store is such a bonus. My only tiny wish is for more events to unite the community even more, and maybe stock some coconut milk. But that's really it. It's a hidden treasure on the north shore, and I'm eager to see what wonders they'll bring us in the years ahead.“
“First time here this weekend as we are from across the water and we will be back every time we visit the big city now. From the amazing customer service including how sweet and genuine they were to a regular in front us helping him locate his umbrella to the exceptional warm and friendly service we received as well. Also amazing coffee and treats!“
“Honey’s Doughnuts is probably the most famous eating joint in Deep Cove. The specialty here is obvious but they also have decent sandwiches. In addition to their flagship honey donut, you can also find maple and chocolate flavors at Honey’s. The honey variety is possibly the best donut I’ve ever had. A word of warning: despite the laidback Deep Cove location, there are long lines and rapid-fire service at Honey’s, leading to a rather stressful experience. But take a deep breath as it’s all worth it once you have the holy grail of donuts in your hand.“
“It's a lovely shop though it can be hard to find seats at times. Very popular, they have a laptop study room almost near the back. There's also outside seating when its not too cold. I stop here every time I'm in North Van.“
“I was in your location on Friday March 24th at just before 9:30amThere was 5 people approx sitting in location and I was 4th in line. Line up went quick and there were 3 ladies working. I forgot one of the items on my 2 person order and inquired what oat cold brew beverages they had. It's rare in the service industry not to come across impatient clerks that seem inconvenienced. This experience was sooo the opposite. They collaborated excited to help me and get creative and made me a special drink. Absolutely amazing ladies. Thanks starbucks“
“Great little brewery on the row in North Van. Probably one of the better breweries on the North Shore when it comes to selection, atmosphere and vibes. Rotating taps, accommodating staff and tasty, unique drinks will keep even the most discriminating of connoisseurs coming back for more!“
“A new bookstore in Deep Cove! They have amazing coffee, too. I bought two books but I'm definitely going back for more. It's obvious there was a lot of thought put into the book selection. I was also impressed that they have books by local writers. They have nice comfy benches where you can sit while you narrow down your selection. I also bought a cool kitty cat puzzle for my mother-in-law.“
“My girlfriend and I decided this is our favorite coffee shop. The food and coffee were so good and the place is so nice. The only thing is that there’s no place to plug in my laptop and have a really nice time doing work and having a coffee.“
“Best place for bread in in all Vancouver & North Vancouver, the quality of the bread are just exceptional… everything is so fresh… the fig sourdough, —the baguettes are still warm when you buy them— and they are so crunchy and perfect , and the chocolate cookies are to die for! this place does so much for the community, from the bakers that wake up early and make the bread for a whole community! to the owners, no to mention Juan is a lovely face to see in the mornings and has the sweetest energy ever! thank you so much for everything you do ????“
“We are fans of Cafe Orso, the owners are so nice, the food is great and love the decor. Highly recommend - note new owers have recently takenover and this review was written bases on experience with previous ownership. Prices have gone up ans service is slow “
“This was my first visit. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, as was the woman behind the counter. The coffee & muffin were excellent. It felt like being in someone's home, hard to find with today's many generic, sterile coffee shops. Definitely recommend.Parking: Easy parking on both Lonsdale, side streets and parking lot to the North of shop.“
“Second coffee in this small shop. I found a small table next to a power outlet (one of the few) and enjoyed my coffee for about an hour to charge up my phone and charge up me. Hooray for caffeine!Coffee was good, the service was friendly and it was nice to just sit for a bit on a calm Saturday morning.Parking: Street parking nearby and a lot in the back“
“I go here every week. It’s a very nice place, great food and coffee. However, they never ask me what size I want for my drink and I forget to let them know, so they automatically sell me medium-sized coffee when I want large, so I often leave mildly “
“This is a very lovely cafe with great drinks, food, and service!! The staff are extremely friendly and kind, and the place is super comfortable and very pleasant to be in. There are big windows that you can sit in front of and comfy couches and chairs where you can lounge. This place is usually decently quiet (depending on the time of day) so it's quite often a good place to go to for studying or doing some work.Parking can be a bit tricky during busy hours, but other than that this cafe is always a pleasure to go to!Parking: Parking is free but rather limited. Not many spots in front of the cafe itself but there are more spots behind the building.Wheelchair accessibility: This cafe is wheelchair accessible.“
“I'm a big big fan of their bran muffins. I know bran flavors are not for everyone but if you're looking for a hearty bran muffin, this is the place to go. It's full of flavors and packed with fruits and fibery goodness of bran but low in sugar and oils. I rarely find a muffin that does not leave my fingers greasy and gross. This one has close to no grease but still retains a lot of moisture. I actually find their non-bran muffins not as good. I've tried lemon poppyseed and matcha red bean. The lemon poppyseed left a waxy feeling in my mouth. I've had this happen to me at other places before too so not sure if it's a normal effect of this muffin flavor. The matcha red bean was quite good if you have a sensitive palette in that the flavors were very mild. It would be better if they enhanced the matcha flavor either by using more matcha or using a stronger flavored matcha. There was a good amount of red bean but because they use low sugar, it wasn't as apparent. I still enjoyed it overall. Again, it was not oily and not overly sweet. I also tried their peanut butter cookie and oatmeal cranberry cookie yesterday too. Peanut butter cookie was great - not sweet at all and packed full of peanut taste! Yummy! The only thing is that i expected it to be soft and chewy and it was a bit crunchier than I had expected. The oatmeal cranberry was a bit sweeter than what I would have liked but was soft and chewy.“
“Harbourside Cafe deserves every star! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm ambiance and friendly staff. The menu offers a delightful array of dishes that cater to various tastes, and the food was absolutely top-notch. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was impeccable. The service was attentive without being intrusive, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Whether you're seeking a relaxed meal or a quick bite, Harbourside Cafe is a gem by the harbor that I highly recommend for its five-star quality in food, service, and ambiance.“
“There's tea, then there's tea! This shop carries the highest quality tea and has close relationships with their suppliers all over the world. I've bought delicious milk oolong from them, pu-er tea (they have various ages and cakes/bricks), as well as their green, black and fruity teas. They have some herbal teas too (linden flower, passion flower) and almost anything you may be looking for. The family that runs it is knowledgeable, generous and passionate about tea. Highly recommend.“
“I’ve been always looking forward to picking up my daughter who lives near by, so I would have an excuse to come here for the best Americano’s I’ve ever had! There healthy choice muffins are next level too! What a gem of a place! I wish we had one in Coquitlam area. ?“
“Excellent coffee, service and atmosphere. They are currently doing construction above and around it as seems to be the case for every place in this city, but it is open. Clean washroom with a funny sign on the door (you will see). I like the coffee. I thought for the location and quality the price was also fair. It isn't McDonalds, but it also isn't especially expensive.“
“ake Five Café is a delightful urban retreat nestled in the bustling heart of Vancouver. The café offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and catching up with friends or enjoying a moment of solitude. Their specialty coffee and a wide range of delectable pastries cater to diverse tastes. The friendly staff and contemporary ambiance make it a go-to spot for a quick break or a leisurely afternoon. Whether you're in need of a caffeine fix or a cozy nook to unwind, Take Five Café delivers a consistently delightful experience.“
“Very nice atmosphere here with comfy seating and art on the walls. There's a large secluded seating area in the back which you might miss if you don't know it's there. The vibe was very peaceful and then a family with three very loud kids came in...didn't really bother me, but just be prepared that you can't necessarily count on a quiet environment since it seems to get a big crowd coming from the beach/park which of course can include families. My lunch here was great, I had a masala chickpea wrap, a slice of carrot cake, and a turmeric latte. I especially enjoyed the carrot cake, it had big pieces of dried fruit which was delicious and gave it great texture. Their turmeric latte was spicy and comes unsweetened, but not bitter. The baristas were mostly nice but seemed a little disorganized, although I think one of them might have been in training. I confirmed that everything was "for here" 3 times and they still gave me my sandwich in a to-go box which is my pet peeve. Overall, though, I really liked the place. I just was at Deep Cove this once for a little day trip so this was probably a one-off visit, but if I lived nearby, it’s the kind of place I’d want to come back to.“
“I just want to commend the staff this morning when they had to confront a guest who was making them uncomfortable. The manager who spoke to the guest handled it with such grace and composure. If you haven’t worked in customer service, you may not know how hard it is. I also appreciate the male customer who stood back, let the manager do her thing, but was also close enough to step in if needed. That is an ally. Good job to the manager and her team.“
“We met one of our best friends Vida in JJ Bean and had a great time with her , she is such a kind and energetic barista and kindly invited us to coffee and muffins ☕ you have to have a coffe there with fantastic view of Dollar Road Waterfront Park ??“
“This is probably the best value $5 coffee in the GVRD. The staff are knowledgeable and really friendly. Excellent cappuccino with a multi million dollar view of the Vancouver skyline. Just beware of the mercenary parking lot attendants in the basement parking. One of the most expensive parking spots in the GVRD. There's free street parking just 2 blocks away.“
“First time here this weekend as we are from across the water and we will be back every time we visit the big city now. From the amazing customer service including how sweet and genuine they were to a regular in front us helping him locate his umbrella to the exceptional warm and friendly service we received as well. Also amazing coffee and treats!“
“Over the past couple mouths I have become kinda a coffee mad man as I would say and blenz is pretty solid usually get a latte which is relatively similar to Starbucks they also have good tea and snacks but the protein smoothies are the real deal but the best thing about blenz is the atmosphere very nice chairs and tables and a beautiful interior great to go have a coffee with a fun or family member overall coffee pretty decent snacks good smoothies amazing and atmosphere amazing solid coffee shop“
“Tasty gelato place along Lonsdale somewhat close to the highway. Parking is available on the side streets. The inside is modern, and the space is quite large. They have coffee, sandwiches, and ice cream/gelato. In terms of ice cream/gelato flavours, they have both fruit flavours, as well as chocolate/coffee. I had a 2 scoop ice cream. Ingredients seemed fresh. The ice cream was tasty. I was happy.“
“I've been going here for years and often use the space as a second office and meeting place. The staff is always courteous, kind and efficient. And of course, Starbucks coffee is always on point.Be sure to look for me and say hi as I am the area's local Community Advocate and Influencer and Upper Lonsdale's Expert Community Realtor.“
“Great spot but often busy. Conveniently located off the highway. We’ve gone here a few times, drive thru and inside, and had the best service every time. All the staff are working together professionally and quickly while being sweet and kind to the public at the same time. One worker I can’t remember her name but started with an S, was super nice and smiling the whole time. She told customers “have an awesome day” and “you’re awesome” & “sorry for the wait”! We will def be back!“
“Warm, welcoming, and trendy local coffee shop with local owner operators. Loved their wraps and tried their other brunch selections as well. Very tasty foods and very friendly owners. Definitely recommend this coffee shop if you haven'v visited the place yet!“
