Out of all the places you can get a snack and coffee, this is the best bang for your buck. I am so grateful to still have this place around, it brings back a lot of good memories. “This spot is such a great addition to the North Shore, and it’ll be even more popular once all the construction around it is done. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating, and the store is super cute. I do wish they offered more frozen food options in their deli, though. The only downside is that everything is quite overpriced compared to other coffee shops—things like kombucha are $7, whereas they’re $4 elsewhere. Their matcha is also bitter and clumpy since it’s not whisked properly, and it’s a shame they don’t offer coconut milk. They used to host events that fostered a sense of community, but I’m not sure what happened with that. I hope the shop brings in more North Vancouver products too. Overall, this place is cool and has great potential if they can iron out a few things!“

“Barrio is one of the better places to get your coffee in Vancouver and if you live or are anywhere in North Van, this is a place you definitely want to go. Coffee is reasonably priced and there is seating inside to enjoy your coffee (appropriately safe during Covid restrictions). The cafe also sells beans if you need beans for home. P.s if you’re an Aussie or a Kiwi you’ll love it as Barrio is run by an Aussie, so you can expect good standards.“

“Went there 8:00 AM thinking they’d have fresh baked good. Ordered a croissant and a scone. They were at least 1 or 2 days old. Croissant was soggy. The cheese on top came off like rubber and the scone was so dry and stale, it was crumbling. On top of that it cost a fortune. Most definitely a skip. the latte was on par with a Tim Hortons regular coffee. I.e. not a latte at all“

“Just went in as I was passing by and saw the “eggnog” sign at the entrance. Really good not too sweet. Friendly staff and family friendly environment. Nice atmosphere with a fireplace in the corner. Haven’t try the food yet the savory croissant sandwiches are looking yummy.

“Their 100% rye bread is dense and flavorful. This is not a recipe that is generally available from quality bakeries. So finding it at the bad dog bakery is a treat.

“It's a cozy, beautiful coffee shop. Service is polite and helpful. This place is conveniently located by the 17th East and Lonsdale. Unfortunately they close at 6 o'clock. The location at Park and Telford closes at 9 p.m, which is very convenient.“

“Super friendly service. They asked me how my day was going and was surprised I spoke some Farsi. They had bright smiles and prepared my drink and food quickly. The cheese croissant is amazing! It was very quiet but I imagine this location gets very busy around lunch time. I’d suggest ordering in advance with the app. Lots of space inside (air conditioned) and outside for lounging and getting work or reading done.“

“I like coming here. I usually grab a cup of coffee and treat my kids to some goodies. The staff members are always friendly and the location is convenient. This particular Starbucks is located inside Safeway and it's a smaller branch with just one staff member working at a time.It's worth noting that due to the limited staff, there might be a short wait time for your order. The lone staff member takes your order and prepares your drink, which can result in a few minutes of waiting. However, if you're looking for a faster service, there are other Starbucks locations you can go to.The staff are friendly and the location is near a highway.“
