“Awesome find in Tsawwassen- definitely recommend checking out if you are a Greek food lover! A lot closer if you live south of the Fraser compared to other Greek places in Vancouver or beyond. Roast lamb dinners were delicious. Large portions of meat and sides. The potatoes were super lemon-y, which I love! We also ordered a dolmathes appetizer which was great.“

“Best fancy spot in Ladner, Greek cuisine that outshines restaurants in the city. Truly passionate about food, people, and coming together - fantastic customer experience. Highly recommend - try the Tarama for something different, the tender sauteed calamari for fresh instead of fried, and the lamb options are superb - as is pretty much everything on the menu. The decor is all original imported from Greece and the ambiance is clean, sultry, and cozy. Happy eating =)“

“I loved the donair. We got the lamb and it was yummy. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve had. The guy who runs the place is friendly, and I was told he has been around for a couple of decades. There is no sitting - you are served through a window. The menu on a screen and his entire operations can be seen clearly through the window. I am definitely coming back!“

“Classic Vancouver Greek mediterranean style food. We've been losing some of these gems lately so it's good to see places like Minerva still going strong.“

“Love it. Went there for the 1st time on a friend's recommendation. I think their price, food and quality are better than the one I usually go in New Westminster. A chicken skewer was marinated well and not dry at all. Moussaka was really good as well. I even ordered another dish for take out for my family.
Parking: Located behind the store.“

“My first visit to Yiannis Greek Taverna in New Westminster was a pleasant surprise. Located inside a mall, the restaurant offers plenty of free parking and a separate entrance from the outside. Initially, the small door from the mall and the dim lighting made us unsure if it was open. My daughter even asked, “Is it open? Why is it so dark in there?” However, once inside, we were greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance.
Despite it being 6 PM on a bustling Saturday, we managed to snag one of the last tables. Our server was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, although she did forget to place our order and my daughter’s apple juice. After a 40-minute wait, she apologized sincerely, assured us she would expedite our order, and offered us complimentary dessert as a gesture of goodwill.
When our food finally arrived, it was worth the wait. The portions were generous, and I ended up taking some home. I had the roast lamb, which was incredibly tender and fell off the bone. My daughter, a notoriously picky eater, enjoyed her salmon in tomato sauce, possibly because of the long wait. My husband had the lamb souvlaki, and our friend tried the potato-crusted cod—both dishes were delicious.
To top off our meal, our server brought us ek mek, a Greek dessert, on the house. Despite my usual preference for chocolate desserts, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
Overall, Yiannis Greek Taverns exceeded our expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return the next time I’m craving Greek cuisine.“

“Whenever I come to Tsawwassen Mills, I always grab a pita wrap from Opa. Amongst all the other options at the food hall, Opa's selection is probably the healthiest. The pita feast has decent Caesar salad, freshly fried fries. Not bad for mall food. Avoid the baklava, however. it's soggy and not fresh, not the crispy mouth feel that we associate this dessert with!“

“I've been looking for a good shawarma place in Burnaby and this is it. The potatoes and toum would have done it for me. But everything had great flavour. The falafel held up really well. It's clear that they care about making good food. I will be back for sure.“

“My favorite, calamari with Greek salad. Salad is yummy, fresh, fries are great. But the only problem I thought was they cut the calamari so thin. So I think, when they buy the frozen calamari, they cut it on half. Like seriously the calamari is thin like paper and full of batter. Service us amazing, the in-house sauces are amazing especially the chillie sauce, just the calamari bit.i stopped going here, I go to the metro town opa instead, or the tsawwassen.“

“Absolute hidden gem! happy hour before 6pm. calamari, keftedes, spanakopita, ekmek and pita breads were all tasty. but what knocked my socks off was THE TZATZIKI!! So refreshing and light, I could just eat it alone. Took home all the leftover tzatziki.
Cant wait to go back and try their other dishes.
The restaurants seats less than 25ppl with 1 server, so expect a slower pace or go early.“
