“I really wanted to try this place during our trip to Canada. We had an excellent time here, the food was delicious and the staff was terrific! Our waiter, Jamie, was so kind and helpful and really made our experience enjoyable! We are pretty new to hotpot, and he helped us find a good combo, as well as helping choose our soup bases, which were delicious. He even made our sauce for us and it tasted really great! Thank you Jamie for your help and care!!! You’re the best!“

“My wife and I have now made this our go to place instead of Big Way. It’s just a much nicer environment, and the food is always very delicious. We always pay a good tip at the register but…….. the one and only thing we see that needs attention. Is the attention to the sitting customers. Even when slow, the one big difference we see between the two places is unfortunately the lack of service once seated. We never see anyone coming around to refill the water, napkins, etc…. And when we’re ready to go have to look around to get their attention when we’re ready to leave for the ice cream and a container for left overs. I only mention this because when tipping it’s also for this service. Other than that everything else is great! Will keep coming back but hopefully this oversight is looked after. ✅“

“Got the combo for 2. Pretty good deal for what's included. Nice cuts of meat. Liked the choices of broth to choose from. All the items tasted fresh. DIY sauce area included along with a large jar of plum juice.
Definitely reserve a table if you can as place isn't big. Parking is a little bit of a pain“

“One of my favourite spots for solo hot pot in Richmond! I always leave feeling full and satisfied without that overly stuffed or bloated feeling. It's a great balance of quality ingredients, a good variety of choices, and a satisfying meal in your own individual pot.
I like that the ingredients are fresh and the selection has a nice mix of vegetables, meat and seafood. The sauce is another highlight, it complements the ingredients and add another layer of flavour.
Pro tip: Save the vermicelli for the end! By then, it can soak up all that delicious flavour from the broth, making it the perfect finishing touch. I also recommend asking for an egg for some extra protein. Just crack it into the pot and let it cook to your preferred doneness.
A solid choice when you're craving hot pot. Good ingredients, satisfying portions, and a comforting meal that doesn't leave you feeling overly heavy. Definitely one of my go-to spots for individual hot pot.

“One of the best K-BBQ spots on Alexandra Road! Excellent meat cuts, delicious banchan, and super friendly service. The cast-iron grill setup is great and their highballs pair perfectly with the food. Ample parking out back is a huge bonus too. Will definitely be coming back!“

But Piping Hot is basically the same serve yourself and pay by weight.
The more it weights the more you pay. And they have a fried section!
When we went our friends got the fried part mixed up with someone else's 😂 but they corrected it (but was the funniest thing when we told the server) Otherwise it was good. They also include free Banana Ice Cream in a Fish... which was very tasty!. The fish was kinda hard though... but the Banada Ice Cream was superb!

“Great value proposition in Taiwanese fried chicken. The crunch was good and it was generously seasoned. The serving size (I got a regular) is absolutely a monster for one person. I recommend sharing with at least two or more people. Despite the scale of fried chicken, I didn’t feel greasy after finishing it.
Cash only. There is an ATM at the lottery convenience at the other end of the mall. You are given a pager that vibrates and rings once your food is ready. Seating can be difficult at peak times since there’s other food spots in the cafeteria.“

“Went on a Thursday night, it was pretty busy. Reservation is strongly suggested. Different prices for adults, kids, seniors and vegetarians. The selection was fine, the food quality was good, service was fantastic. Not much to complain about. They refill the grab-yourself selection pretty frequently, and it seems fresh. The menu selection is solid, lots of stuff. It's hard to review the taste since you make your own sauces and cook it yourself. Value wise it is in line with other similar places in Richmond like this, total bill divided by people averages like $50 per person. Worth trying out, it was a fun experience.“

“Best Fortune Restaurant (上上签) in Richmond is a must-try for mala lovers!
We ordered the mixed hot pot with crayfish (maralongsha), pig trotters, chicken feet, fish cake, and noodles. The spicy mala broth was flavorful and adjustable, and everything soaked up the seasoning perfectly. The crayfish was especially good, tender and full of that classic mala kick.
Clean modern spot with a nice vibe, reasonable prices, and great for sharing. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Sichuan-style hot pot in the area!“

“Went for wifey bday. 1st in line .... Waited an hour, but there is a little ledge you can sit around before the line builds up. Place only takes ca$h money if you order less than 50.... (But just bring enough ca$h and play it safe). Really delicious... Truly spicy, but we ordered TOO much. Most couples share a pot.... We went ALL in with 2 pots?! 😭. Let's just say we bag it up and haul the half a pot portions home.“

“I was kind of concerned beforehand because of the rating but it actually way more than I expected! We came here at 6:30 pm weekday so no need to wait. The quantity and quality are both very good. We ordered a medium spicy one and it was really delicious! I would definitely recommend and try something different next time:)“
“We went on a Thursday for lunch, wasn’t too crowded, the seatings were very spacious, and the staff were nice👍🏻 We got the Pork Stomach with Pepper Soup and the Chicken Wings with Salted Egg Yolk. It was my first time having these two dishes and they were both out of the world😮 The staff came at the right timings to add soup for us, but weren’t like some over-friendly people I’ve encountered before that come every 2 minutes asking you how everything was🤣 Too bad I don’t live in Vancouver, otherwise this would be a place that I want to go to often😩“

“We were walking around Fisherman's wharf and was looking for a place with oysters and spot prawns. A gift shop worker recommended us to come here. We didn't know they were not open yet but they still let us come dine in. The food was delicious and fresh!“

“TLDR: it's a classic original hot pot!
We got the beef and miso soups. The beef pot was tasty and flavourful. The miso pot was neutral and didn't have many outstanding thoughts about it. I like that it came with a drink during lunch hours. Would come again“
