“I really wanted to try this place during our trip to Canada. We had an excellent time here, the food was delicious and the staff was terrific! Our waiter, Jamie, was so kind and helpful and really made our experience enjoyable! We are pretty new to hotpot, and he helped us find a good combo, as well as helping choose our soup bases, which were delicious. He even made our sauce for us and it tasted really great! Thank you Jamie for your help and care!!! You’re the best!“

“The restaurant is open and nicely decorated. Love the hotpot designs, very traditional chinese patterns. The 3-4 person combo is very reasonably priced and plenty of food for the 4 of us. Service was great and they were very attentive. 90 mins allowance for the meal.“

“My wife and I have now made this our go to place instead of Big Way. It’s just a much nicer environment, and the food is always very delicious. We always pay a good tip at the register but…….. the one and only thing we see that needs attention. Is the attention to the sitting customers. Even when slow, the one big difference we see between the two places is unfortunately the lack of service once seated. We never see anyone coming around to refill the water, napkins, etc…. And when we’re ready to go have to look around to get their attention when we’re ready to leave for the ice cream and a container for left overs. I only mention this because when tipping it’s also for this service. Other than that everything else is great! Will keep coming back but hopefully this oversight is looked after. ✅“

“Had a great experience at Gokudo Shabu Shabu. The restaurant was clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The broth was flavorful and the ingredients were very fresh. The premium beef had beautiful marbling and was tender after just a few seconds in the hot pot. The vegetable platter was generous and everything tasted fresh. The dipping sauces were delicious, and the drinks paired perfectly with the meal.
The quality of the food, presentation, and service really stood out. Everything was well prepared, and the overall experience was enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely come back and highly recommend Gokudo Shabu Shabu to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic hot pot experience.“

But Piping Hot is basically the same serve yourself and pay by weight.
The more it weights the more you pay. And they have a fried section!
When we went our friends got the fried part mixed up with someone else's 😂 but they corrected it (but was the funniest thing when we told the server) Otherwise it was good. They also include free Banana Ice Cream in a Fish... which was very tasty!. The fish was kinda hard though... but the Banada Ice Cream was superb!

“So good! I’ve been to Korea multiple times and the best Korean bbq I’ve had so far was Calgary but this place if you’re in Vancouver I’d definitely come to! The service on top impeccable.

“Great value proposition in Taiwanese fried chicken. The crunch was good and it was generously seasoned. The serving size (I got a regular) is absolutely a monster for one person. I recommend sharing with at least two or more people. Despite the scale of fried chicken, I didn’t feel greasy after finishing it.
Cash only. There is an ATM at the lottery convenience at the other end of the mall. You are given a pager that vibrates and rings once your food is ready. Seating can be difficult at peak times since there’s other food spots in the cafeteria.“

“Came for the 9pm happy hour deal and we had the all you can drink too. Decent selection of items for hot pot and ready-to-eat foods however, there are places with a larger selection at a similar price or cheaper. Still a great place though!
The staff were great although a bit hard to get the attention of sometimes.

“Best Fortune Restaurant (上上签) in Richmond is a must-try for mala lovers!
We ordered the mixed hot pot with crayfish (maralongsha), pig trotters, chicken feet, fish cake, and noodles. The spicy mala broth was flavorful and adjustable, and everything soaked up the seasoning perfectly. The crayfish was especially good, tender and full of that classic mala kick.
Clean modern spot with a nice vibe, reasonable prices, and great for sharing. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Sichuan-style hot pot in the area!“

“Came on a Friday night and luckily didn’t have to wait too long for a table. Their dry pot was definitely delicious. It took around 30 minutes from ordering to getting our food, and it seemed like every table had the same wait. Whether it’s worth waiting that long is up to you to decide. The servers were all very friendly and provided great service.“
“We went on a Thursday for lunch, wasn’t too crowded, the seatings were very spacious, and the staff were nice👍🏻 We got the Pork Stomach with Pepper Soup and the Chicken Wings with Salted Egg Yolk. It was my first time having these two dishes and they were both out of the world😮 The staff came at the right timings to add soup for us, but weren’t like some over-friendly people I’ve encountered before that come every 2 minutes asking you how everything was🤣 Too bad I don’t live in Vancouver, otherwise this would be a place that I want to go to often😩“

“We were walking around Fisherman's wharf and was looking for a place with oysters and spot prawns. A gift shop worker recommended us to come here. We didn't know they were not open yet but they still let us come dine in. The food was delicious and fresh!“

“TLDR: it's a classic original hot pot!
We got the beef and miso soups. The beef pot was tasty and flavourful. The miso pot was neutral and didn't have many outstanding thoughts about it. I like that it came with a drink during lunch hours. Would come again“
