“Came for the WontonMAMA pop up and had a mixed experience. The staff seemed overwhelmed and there was constantly people waiting to either be seated or have their take out order taken. We were seated 15 minutes past our reservation time. Our server was kind and apologetic, but didn't serve us water the entire time (in fact we had to get water ourselves because we were so warm). The food was pretty good and the combo set was a good value. The chefs were also sending out free curry fish balls to apologize for the wait. The only disappointment I had in the food was the crab and shrimp wonton soup. While the broth smelled great, it was virtually tasteless and the ratio of noodles to broth was wild. We also ordered two cocktails, neither of which were to our liking - the Starferry highball was extremely sweet while the Lycheetini was acidic to the point where my wife's throat felt burned. They also comped our drinks despite us not saying anything due to the wait for food, which was kind and unnecessary. All in all, a cute idea with good food, but the execution should be better.“
