Great food and service. The setting in the restaurant could use a refresh of furniture and appointments like flooring and carpets. Clean but definitely worn.
Excellent food and top notch service, with great runway views while you dine. Globe YVR is an ideal airport hotel restaurant
August 3rd, holiday in BC, very busy, was seated in lounge 45 mins before reservation, time for one glass of BC wine, then seated chose 3 course meal, French onion soup was truly deliciously flavourful, steak with extra clarified butter on side unsalted, was perfect in temperature and cooking requested, the finish tiramisu was delightful, enjoyed one glass of Pinot Noir also BC, over the meal. Another great experience at the Fairmont at YVR

It has covered parking and a convenient location. While the dinner menu might be limited, the lively atmosphere and helpful staff make it a good place to enjoy a meal. The menu features elevated bar food, but guests can also order from the upscale Globe Restaurant menu. Prices are approachable, making it a nice spot for lunch or dinner. Popular dishes include the roasted beet poke bowl, which combines fresh vegetables with a tangy shoyu sauce, and the tiramisu for dessert, served with a crunchy cocoa biscuit layer under the ladyfingers. Complimentary bottomless seasoned popcorn is provided as an appetizer, adding to the experience. The service is attentive, and even if there are small delays, staff work to ensure guests have a pleasant time. The Jetside Lounge is especially enjoyable for brunch and relaxing moments, with live music enhancing the ambiance. Guests also praise the lunch special, Food on the Fly, with the mushroom soup and shrimp poke being highlights. Many appreciate the view of planes on the taxi lane, especially during sunny days, and find the pork sausages to be particularly delicious. However, service can sometimes be slow due to staffing, and the wine list, which offers only BC wines by the glass, is considered limited. Despite these points, the overall experience remains enjoyable, and with a few improvements, it could become a truly outstanding spot.
