We stopped by in the middle of the afternoon, around 2–3 PM, and were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant still open. We were hungry and very grateful to be able to enjoy such a great meal.
This is a modern take on Sichuan cuisine, and the quality was outstanding. From the cooking techniques and presentation to the freshness of the ingredients, every dish felt carefully prepared. The flavors were balanced, vibrant, and full of character.

One of the best Szechuan food in town - our favorite dish is the Szechuan spicy chicken! They are also famous for the fried dough which is fresh and large - great for sharing!
Service is good and food is great each time we visit.

Szechuan Tales Restaurant offers a nostalgic Chinese dining experience with bold and excellent flavors. The service is top-notch, with accommodating staff and great recommendations. Vegetarian options abound, including mapo tofu, sweet and sour eggplant, and spicy cauliflower, which can be modified to suit individual tastes. The decor is charming, and the restaurant features spacious seating, making it comfortable for all guests. The menu includes popular dishes like beef pancakes and appetizers, and recent additions such as steamed live marble goby in fresh green peppers showcase the chef's creativity. Many customers praise the friendly service, with one mentioning the lady boss providing impeccable service that felt truly genuine. The food is generally tasty, with some dishes like Dungeness crab prepared in different ways to highlight the sweetness of the crab meat. Guests appreciate the generous portions, especially for the price, and find the dishes come quickly after ordering. While some reviews note the use of vinegar making certain dishes a bit too sour and mention parking difficulties, the overall experience remains positive. The restaurant is especially loved for its authentic Sichuan flavors, friendly staff, and the variety of tasty choices, making it a popular spot for those craving spicy food and a memorable meal with friends.
