“Made the trip over from Alberta and stopped in Sunday morning right after they opened, no line yet which was a nice surprise. Got the brisket plate and it was smoky and tender enough that my husband stopped talking for a solid five minutes, which never happens. The guy at the counter walked us through the menu since we had no clue what half the sides were, and he didn't rush us at all even though we asked a ton of questions. Small spot with limited seating but we found a table fine at that hour, and honestly worth building a whole morning around if you're ever in New West.“

“This was my second visit, and I love this Korean restaurant even more! The lunch set is delicious, generous, and great value for the price. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, and the service was friendly. I've already recommended this place to my friends and will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!“

“I ordered uber eats last night and that was one of the most satisfying meals I've had! Got the soy garlic chicken dish with rice cakes, diy rice balls and rose dukpokki! Ugh 😩 so satisfying! Definitely give the a try when you have a craving for something chewy, salty, sweet and a little spicy. They have a really fun menu!“

“I’ve been here several times and it’s always been fantastic, however I do not recommend coming with a large group.
The food has always been delicious and drinks are good too, but the service was horrendous for a larger group. It took forever to get any service, staff would make eye contact with us when we tried to wave them over, and then just ignore us. There were a lot of staff available just loitering around the bar area and did not come to our aid.
It took a very long time for us to get our bills, and when they finally took it they charged many of us twice or even thrice. Some of us tried to tell the waitress that the first transaction went through, but they insisted we pay again because they got an error on their end. Just a reminder to maybe check your bank statement after to make sure this didn’t happen to you. I don’t think it was on purpose, but still frustrating to deal with.
Other than that the food was delicious. Sooda box remains one of my fav dishes and their cheese corn is great.“
“The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is a little bit of a hole in the wall, so I'd recommend getting takeout, but we decided to eat in. Even though we arrived close to closing time, they were still very accommodating and made us feel welcome.

“Best value late-night AYCE hot pot in Metro Vancouver.
At just $29.99, you get unlimited soup, meat, vegetables, and dessert. It’s an excellent value and easily beats many other AYCE hot pot restaurants that charge $50+ per person.
The tomato soup and cilantro & century egg soup were both flavorful without being overly salty. The sliced lamb was a bit fatty, but it was easy enough to trim off yourself. The lamb skewers were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of char and cumin.
The dessert station was a nice bonus, with milk tea and a variety of toppings to customize your drink. The service was friendly throughout the meal.
If you’re looking for a satisfying late-night hot pot without spending a fortune, Marble House Eatery is hard to beat.“

“SUPER🔆🔆We just tried a few things for a late lunch after finding this really great little restaurant, and we enjoyed them VERY much‼ Their homemade soups, were excellent in great broth flavours, and both had many generous added ingredients. Our beef ribs bbq was excellent-typically, a little pricy, but SO good! The nicely done seafood pancake was quite large, and just filled with ingredients! Their 4 entrees were just great-a sweet dressing salad, nice homemade kimchi, pickled peppers, sweet daikon-and rice! Their soups-bean paste, and pork bone broths were SO flavourful‼ After trying just these menu items, we definitely WILL be back✅✅ It is clean, and fairly priced. The server, Ji-Yeun was SO friendly and helpful, and very attentive. We WILL be going back-it is such a comfortable place with great menu choices!✅✅“

The wings were delicious, and the spinach dip was a definite highlight—creamy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. Great spot for good beer, tasty food, and a relaxed atmosphere. “Really satisfying late night BBQ spot. We ordered a mix of skewers, plus a few dishes. Everything was pretty good. The lamb skewers were juicy, well seasoned, and had that proper charcoal grilled flavor without being overly salty.
The fried rice was really good too, very smoky and flavorful with generous portions of meat throughout. We also tried the spicy hot tripe, which had a lot of flavor without tasting overly oily.
The atmosphere felt lively and casual, exactly the kind of place you want for late night food with friends. Definitely a place I’d come back to when craving skewers and BBQ food.“

“Great food, portions and prices. We've been a couple times now and always leave feeling satisfied and with leftovers. It's not too big of a restaurant, and it feels cozy inside.
Fried chicken- we usually get the half and half boneless chicken. The portion is quite large. Our favourite is the spicy soy garlic. The outside is crisp and the chicken inside is tender. The texture of the batter is different from other Korean friend chicken I've had, but in a good way.
Prawn and chive pancake- thin but loaded with prawns and chives. The edges are so crisp. A good dish to go with some drinks.
Korean sausage and pork soup- I don't usually see blood sausage at a lot of places and this is one of our favourites. Along with the tender pieces of pork and liver. The soup is flavourful with a little bit of spice.
Overall, I really like this place. I'd visit more often if we were closer. So it's definitely a treat when we're out in Coquitlam. Give this place a try (:“

“I enjoy bao buns and the angry chicken bao is phenomenal. I would recommend trying this place as it is tucked in a corner, but the korean fried chicken is very good and the bao is great. The bao bun is soft and fluffy and the sauce on the chicken has a nice flavour. It is mostly a takeout place, meaning it is grab and go, but the staff has always been very nice.“

“I cannot believe that I have not visited this place earlier. Before I ordered it, I asked what the potato noodle is like. And the staff explained to me very well. And I ordered the most popular one at this place. Spiciness was medium and meat was beef. Visual impression of the food was so home and cozy. And the taste was deep and rich. Perfect spiciness. And the best part was noodle. Its texture was between udon noodle and tapioca noodle. Pleasantly chewy and noodle didn't get soggy quickly. I enjoyed this food til the end. The only thing that I was little disappointed was the portion of meat. There was just some pieces but I was so contented with this flavor. Overall, it made my day, and I would happily go back there hopefully every week :)“

“We has always walked by this restaurant, decided to give it a try.
You order at the table electronic menu, server was very friendly & helpful. My girlfriend can only have chicken, we asked the server whether the kitchen can accommodate her preference. A definite “Yes”, she ordered Bulgogi ( instead of beef, they sub it with chicken). She enjoyed the meal very much!
I had my favourite “Soon dubu Jigae “ with beef - a stew with veggies, beef & soft tofu. It was yummylicious, next time, I will have to order it spicy! Hubby had his favourite cold noodles with pork collar.
Service & food was good, lunchtime on a weekday got very crowded, lots of people ordered the BBQ set for lunch special.

“We ordered half a roast duck, which was reasonably priced and offered good value. The flavor was enjoyable, although I felt the seasoning could have been a bit richer and more intense. The meat was decent, but it would have been even more satisfying if it had been more tender and succulent. Overall, it’s a worthwhile dish, especially considering the reasonable price.“

“We've visited this place multiple times as a family and it never disappoints! The food is consistently delicious and the overall dining experience keeps us coming back. Most of the staff are warm and attentive. A couple of servers were a bit reserved, but it didn't take away from our experience at all. The only minor inconvenience is parking - it can get quite tight depending on the time you visit, so plan accordingly.“

“Located inside the Henlong Supermarket.
They have 8 different Bahn Mi sandwiches to choose from and they also sell Vietnamese deli items and desserts.
I tried the Special Sub and it had different cuts of
deli ham, pickled carrots/radish, cilantro, cucumber, jalapeños. Bread was good as it came
out warm and crispy. Can’t go wrong when it was $5.80 after tax.

“One of the better BBQ Pork, Char Siew and Octopus in Vancouver. I haven't tried regular dishes as not the kind of places that I want beside the BBQ foods. Waitress is a little chaos as they really not too organized. Noisy joint so probably better just to takeaway.“

“Pleasantly surprised by Banshan. Came here with my wife and some friends, and we were a little skeptical given the 3.5 stars on Google, but they definitely exceeded our expectations.
We ordered mild for all our skewers, and they were less cumin-y and spicy, and sweeter than the mild at places like Happy Tree, but still very tasty. The only skewer I wouldn't recommend would be the quail eggs, which were oddly bland for some reason. The beef noodle soup was way better than we thought it would be given they are a skewer restaurant. I'd also be interested in returning and trying the highest menu option to get some seafood, but honestly there were enough tasty things to eat at the lowest $36.99 tier.
The server and the owner were both friendly enough. We tipped 15% and didn't have any issues that have been mentioned in other reviews re: confrontations with the owner.
I'm giving 5 stars because I think the current rating is a bit unfair. Banshan should probably be closer to a 4.0.“

“Went here with my family, and another family and we all got the all-you-can-eat menu. I wouldn’t say my kids are picky, but they like certain things and it’s hard to get them to try newer foods. But, they loved this place! The restaurant itself is small, but clean. The drop down exhaust vents helps to keep the cooking smell to a minimum. The food itself was amazing! And the service was top notch. My son even told me that we needed to give our server a great tip. We definitely ate our fair share and I believe we got our money’s worth. Will definitely be back here!“
