“Thank you Angel for your considerate and enthusiastic service. We were very happy and satisfied to bring our Japanese friends to experience Chinese hot pot for the first time! Every time we need anything, Angel comes to help us immediately and then confirms that we are fine before continuing. We had a great time eating ?“
“I had the most wonderful birthday dinner here with my fiancé! The duck was amazing as always. The best part was our kind and attentive server, JoJo! JoJo, thank you for taking such great care of us and making our night special!Parking: Underground paid parking“
“Went last Friday and the hostess did her absolute best to try and find a table that fit my party. Even though we had two people come late she was super accommodating and provided excellent service. Everyone on that shift was super polite and kind!“
“Absolutely fantastic food! The broth was outstanding, and the portions were generous, especially considering the affordable price. The service was excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the chili oil, it was so yummy! We'll definitely be back soon.“
“This place is such a hole in the wall place. If you're looking for delicious Asian food, come here. We ordered spicy beef yakisoba, green bean chicken, and short ribs. Everything was made to order and portions are large. Food was savory, and my kids, who are picky, ate it up.“
“Thanks to the power of Google Maps, I found a spicy hotpot that relieves my nostalgia through the system. Just entering the store and seeing everything in the seasoning area was amazing, coupled with the warm service of the clerk Amma^_^The total amount is less than 21 Canadian dollars per person. I can only say that I want to eat all the bottom of the pot??“
“#kingcrabfeast? upscale, live fish tanks, street parking, free parkade, excellent service."Not only is it one of the recommended restaurants by Michelin Guide Vancouver, Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is also the winner of Vancouver’s Chinese Restaurant Awards in the Best Dim Sum and Best Cantonese categories in 2022. With such a profile, I had very high expectations, and Dynasty totally delivered"“
“We visited the Chinatown BBQ restaurant during our trip to Vancouver and my oh my!! The food was delicious! We got the 2 meat combo with rice and the fried rice. The roasted pork could very well be one of the tastiest I’ve ever consumed! A must visit when you are in Vancouver.“
“A hidden gem on the Kingsway. Was brought here by a friend after skiing and soon became a regular customer. There’s no other restaurant has better Northwestern-Chinese dishes than here. Recommend almost everything on the menu——but pay attention to the nice owner’s recommendations——she knows the best dish of the day!Tips: cash or debit only, NOT accepting credit cards“
“Hidden in a rundown indoor market on Robson. One person behind the counter hand making an exquisite array of dumplings. Delicious. If it's ambience and cocktails you want don't bother. But if your looking for a fill of a greater variety of dumplings get the sampler plate to start and go from there ordering more of your favorites. Highly recommended.“
“I began eating at Healthy Noodle House when it first opened in 2007, and it is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. The the soup is hot, ingredients are fresh, and the flavours are excellent. (The hot sauce is has a great aroma and is not very spicy! I highly recommend adding it to the broth.) Colin loves his business, and he consistently provided friendly service. If you want a hearty and delicious meal with good value, then go to Healthy Noodle House.“
“Really phenomenal food - I don't know any other Chinese food restaurant in town with the same level of quality and atmosphere. I strongly recommend the chasiu, the singapore noodles and the cocktails. My main complaint is the service was a bit slow - it took over an hour to get all dishes, but they came out bit by bit. I would've preferred to eat some with the others that came out later. Also one of the veg dishes had undercooked squash. The reason I'm not going to give 4/5 is the food really is overall exceptional, the owner is really friendly / doing his best and there appeared to only be one main chef in the back.I say you should definitely go, but manage your expectations / hunger before going.“
“Best chinese delivery in Vancouver! Delivery is quick, the food is fresh, hot and delicious and the effort that goes into making almost every dish gluten free is amazing!... but my favourite partis placing my order! The most wonderful people work there! My go to for any occasion!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are amazing! Give them a call to solve any worry!“
“It is rare to see one place that's tranquil, exquisite, sensational, creative at the same time (many more expensive places fail at this). During my visits here, I can trust any menu item would not disappoint. These qualities makes it a great choice for many occasions.Do try everything.“
“Authentic Chinese food. Everything taste great and fresh. Price is affordable and the portions hearty. The soups were huge. And the staff so polite and friendly. Opposite of the service I’ve gotten in different Chinatowns in different cities. Cash only or debit cards thou. Well worth it!“
“I ordered the bbq plate with salt baked chicken and duck. The bbq duck was on point but the salt baked chicken may have been the tasty thing I’ve eaten in a long time. The flavour was unbelievable. The skin was crispy, salty and packed with flavour. The meat was juicy and super flavourful. It comes with a ginger & green onion sauce and the pairing is 100%.I am writing this review because I need to let people know about this chicken. Make the effort to come and check it out as it won’t disappoint. The atmosphere is laid back and casual; however, you’ll feel equally welcome in track pants or a suit.Lastly, the service was friendly, timely and efficient. Can’t ask for more.“
“A nice restaurant with delicious dishes for a very decent price. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or a meat eater you'll find what you like. We had the vegetarian (paneer) and chicken momo, the vegetarian chow mein and szechuan rice with chicken.“
“Absolutely excellent service. Our server Michelle was very warm, friendly, and attentive. However, for the price, I wasn't amazed with the food. It was good; don't get me wrong. But I was expecting an elevated food experience for the price. Perhaps I would have gotten that if we pre-ordered the duck, but we decided to go the same day on a whim.“
“Sooooo fast. Such a huge menu. All photos easy to know what you are ordering. The staff friendly. Easy to work with. I picked #62 beef stir fry and a orange crush soda. Came to under $15 and nice area lots of tables in the food court for dining. Most stores here seems closed. But this little fast food place was open.#62... it's okay... not the best I've had, noodle slightly over cooked, not enough sodium (quite bland) and the beef heavily tenderized with powder. Not a fan of cabbage mixed in. But hot, and fast service.“
“Came here to try the clay rice pot. I’ve never had a clay rice pot before. It definitely had a nice home-cooked meal type feel but it also didn’t stand out enough to me to be worth the price it was. The bottom was crispy which I enjoyed but in the end I feel like I was underwhelmed. Probably wouldn’t venture out this far to go to somewhere like this as there are probably other similar places around in other neighborhoods.“
“This place has the feeling of a small family run restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. Our family of 6 was served and fed in under 30 minutes . We did their family special dinner for 5 .The food was brought out immediately from the kitchen as soon as it was ready. It was great to have a steady flow of new dishes to try, and it allowed us to be a little early to our next appointment.Street parking was the only challenge.Parking: Street parking only.“
“Ordered take out here for the first time. Easy to order over the phone. Pick-up was exactly what time they estimated. There was parking in the back where the entrance is accessible on the side of the building. Restaurant was full at 7:30. Patrons were very diverse. It's not fine dining inside but it looked very clean including the glance I had into the back. I ordered sweet and sour pork and beef fried rice noodle. The portion size was good (decently filled to fit the container). I frequently order these dishes at other restaurants and can say they were nicely done. I'd say the value is on par to other similar establishment if not slightly less expensive. The discount for pick-up was also nice. I think this might be my new go-to rather than trekking it to Fraser Street.“
“This place is a low key, no frills, not fancy, good old traditional Cantonese food. The service is decent and if you’re a regular, you will also see the regulars everyday here, especially in the morning. The owner and staff are doing a great job here.I love coming here for dim sum. If you order before 11am you get 20% off your bill. If you order after 11am you get 10% off.Mon to Friday only. This place has tea fee for $1 per person. As for dinner I’m pretty impressed with their peeking duck. I’ve never been disappointed.“
“Great service and food. Hot tea was poured for us as soon as we entered which was really appreciated as it was raining a lot outside. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful with going through the menu with us. We had the Dan Dan noodles and Cumin beef noodles along with the green onion pancake. Everything was delicious and arrived very quickly.“
“Love it here. It's so chill in there and staff are nice. Had the one bowl and comes with a pastry, a soup and a bowl of rice. It takes some skill to pack a good bowl. Balance of meat, veggies and noodles. The sauce is where it can be overwhelming but try to use the wall poster suggestions to make it. Keep in mind the amount of scoops for the sauce really depends on how much you put in your bowl. The more ingredients you get the more sauce you'll need or it will lack flavor. Definitely takes some experience to make it good for yourself. Love this place, comfort food for me for many years. It has been quiet last few visits. I hope more people come to make sure they don't close!“
“This place knocks it out of the park. Everything we tried was flavourful and well balanced, and perfectly cooked.Incredible dan dan noodles, amazing beef roll, and the wontons in chili oil were incredible. The wontons weren’t too soggy, the noodle were cooked perfectly, and the beef roll was crispy and well filled. Got full and still wanted to keep eating cause it was that good, and the portions are nice and bigService was amazing, super nice lady waiting the tables was friendly and personable and helpful. You can tell they care here.“
“Dined in the other night and had a great time. Service was very nice and personable and the food was excellent. Wish I went here more often beforehand. They will be closing down in a few weeks as the owners are retiring. Congratulations on retirement and thank you for the food!“
“It's all thanks to the death of the whole familyI don't think anyone dares to say that hungry forces have little weight or that their own character is poor.I used to eat at my house every day. Who would have thought that there would be something better in the future...Northeastern people are kind!“
“It's one of my favourite restaurants. You get a taste of authentic Chinese food. Super friendly service, and food is served quickly! The most important part is the atmosphere is so comfortable. Plants and flower decorations are lovely! The food is also so tasty with good portions. Visiting Yunnan is always on my bucket list. I hope I will be there one day! ❤️❤️Vegetarian options: They do have vegetation options on the menu“
“I think the experience has to do with the food u order. I was here another time and it wasn’t as pleasant. Glad I gave it a second chance . I’m going to stick to ordering the same thing when I return. The dishes in the attached photo:Spicy beef noodlesSquid tentacles (ask for a dipping sauce)Taro slush with coconut jellyPassionfruit green teaThe male server gave really good service too. Not sure if it’s because it wasn’t too busy but he was really attentive and didn’t rush us out. We ended up tipping 20% which is considerably high for a casual bubble tea establishment.“
“Didn't have my hopes up. I'm a highly skeptical eater at joints like this. I been around a lot of Cantonese food both good and bad. But dang, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was neither too greasy nor salty. We had a reasonably sized party so we were able to sample a wide variety of dishes from plainer veggies, soups and stronger meat dishes. Everyone always has their favourites, but each dish was done quite well. No complaints at all.Service was on par for these kind of restaurants ... so no, probably do not expect any Michelin stars here.Would recommend and I definitely wouldn't mind coming back.“
“Best vegetarian dim sum in Vancouver on Kingsway! All the food is great and so is the service! I must say that I prefer going on a week day rather than the weekend as there's usually a line up on the weekendVegetarian options: All vegetarian!!!“
“Really great Cantonese food and the staff was very helpful walking us through some of the menu we weren’t familiar with. Definitely exceeded my expectations and was as good, if not better than some places I’ve been in NYC and San Fran. Sticky fried rice w/ chicken was the star of the evening.“
“Came here for dinner service. The beef brisket & tendon on rice was definitely my favourite! The beef was braised long enough and not mushy, but sauce was a bit too much so it felt like having thick soup with rice. The portion was super huge and could probably feed 2 people. What’s best was their chilli oil, the chill flakes were very crispy. Their fish fillet sautéed with vegetables was pretty good too. The congee with ling cod was average, there was too many tiny bones and not much meat, but it’s $10.5 so really can’t complain much!Service was average, some staffs were nicer than others. There’s also free parking behind the restaurant. We’ll definitely visit again for brunch/lunch!“
“The Boss Restaurant in Vancouver's Chinatown is a delightful find, perfectly capturing the essence of a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant. Its convenient location is just the start. The bakery section offers an array of tempting Hong Kong-style cakes and pastries that are a real treat. The menu features delicious options like savory fried noodles, decadent French toasts, and the excellent Hong Kong-style coffee is a must-try. Don't miss out on their BBQ buns, which are simply divine. It's a wonderful spot to experience authentic Hong Kong cuisine and hospitality right in the heart of Vancouver.“
“I ordered a bowl of kidney noodles and Wenzhou meatball soup. Among other things, the kidney noodles taste quite authentic for a new Hangzhou native like me! The only drawback is that there are not enough service staff. I saw some customers waiting for a long time before ordering their food.“
“Pleasantly surprised. Didn’t know what to expect. Got the dinner for 3 and 4 adults shared it. We even had a bit of left over. Had it delivery and it came pretty quickly. It was great that it was complimentary because we live within their radius. Very tired of Uber eats/doordash markups for delivery. Apparently if we had picked up the food ourselves it would have been discounted. The food was all quite tasty and reminded me of my grandparents cooking. Flavourful and good portions.“
“Tasty dumplings from Northern China! The proprietor is so friendly and shares her love for the dumplings of she learned to make while growing up in Harbin. Dumplings can be ordered in dishes of 12 or 18 pieces, and cooked either fried, steamed or boiled. There are a few side dish options. I chose the wood ear and cucumber salad, which was crunchy and tasty! All dumplings are also available frozen to cook at home for 15% discount.“
“Wugengchangwang - I used to like it the most, but now the taste has completely changed. The one I bought today tastes like water, so disappointingBoiled Lamb - I ordered a little spicy and it was so spicy that I almost breathed fire.Golden Sands Shrimp-not crispy enough, but still deliciousThree cups of small rolls - very delicious, sweet and saltyHas the chef changed?“
“Fri Jan 12, 2024 dropped by for lunch. Their lunch special is one of the BEST DEALS in town! Restaurant and washroom is clean, neat and tidy. Food portions MOST GENEROUS. Their prices ARE EXCELLENT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.Lady server most professional and kind. Male chef cooked food WITH NO MSG, the food tasted great, all ingredients were fresh & good quality and they carefully cooked their food in little oil and you can taste they use good quality oil.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SUPER RESTAURANT!“
“For years relied on an upscale dim sum place with a location in Richmond and one on Main St., but had an unpleasant experience post pandemic. Have tried a couple of other places with mixed results and ended up here on Sunday. It did not disappoint - authentic, reasonably priced and delicious with some of the best service ever for a dim sum place. Sizeable menu, some items only after 11 am, large portions. Most the "usual" suspects on offer with a couple of fun twists per below. The individual portions of siu mai, hat gow etc were larger than most places and in addition, there was often one or two more pieces than one would normally have in an order. Xo sauce chunky but on point and reasonable cost, no charge for tea. Free parking out back if driving. One day I will figure out how to order Worcestershire in my bad mandarin and not get ketchup... Will be returning for sure“
“We have been here at least 5-6 six times in the past two years, either just ourselves or with one or two guests (seem like max 4 pp per table....a small place but petitely decored and .....very popular. So on busy weekends, or even week nights, we always try to arrive before 6pm to get a table, or arrive after 1;30pm for a late lunch.....It's worth the wait though.....once you get your table, feel free to watch the chef behind the glass windows pulling authentic noodle from scratch.....especially a popular must for first timers.....There's a All Day daily special every day (but signs only at door I think). We had a Tuesday special and the beef noodle was marvellous, and the pan fried dumplings just to perfection (not overburnt/too dry as in some other placesWe also had All Time combo D (see combo photo): fried noodle with cumin lamb pieces + pork jelly + a free pop. You can change the combinations freely just tell the waitress.....we like the flexibility. The pork jelly (spicy) was our all time favorite...the fried noodle was also good but we preferred the signature beef noodle in soup. There are many more choices to choose from the full menu. (Previously we had chive cakes....yum yum.....big pan chicken....OMG reminiscent of our travels to Lanzhou, Dunhuang....Gobi Desert.....)Had another enjoyable dinner here again to satisfy our sudden craving for spicy food. Pls note Wednesday is their day off.“
“The owner of this place I suddenly entered was so kind! I never thought there would be such a large portion of tantan noodles... It was so delicious, but there was so much that I couldn't eat it all ? Especially the lemon shrimp and xiao long bao are really delicious.“
“Everything is perfect in this place, the food is very delicious and finely prepared, they serve Jazmin tea in a beautifully organized rounded table, we end up taking the rest to go, we just couldn't let it behind. My favourite was the tendon and the fried squid.“
“Food was great and tasted wonderful. We ordered a bunch of food to share, Oxtail Kare Kare, binagoongang baboy and crispy Pata. Bit pricey but I guess you pay for the quality. The seating was quite uncomfortable as it had tears and tape on it but all okay apart from that.Nice business ran by good people. Great community here.“
“Extensive selection of Asian comfort food. Had the beef brisket and tendon with dumplings and noodles. It was reasonably priced around $11.25 and came with 3 hearty dumplings. However, on the meat side, there were more fatty pieces than I would have preferred. Nothing special but fair pricing all around. Service was friendly and the restaurant is cash only. Visited for a late night snack, but I imagine it's popular during lunch and dinner as well. Would give 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4.“
“#king crabLeave you wanting to come back for more...even if it means a 30 mins drive!Service is not just welcoming, it's warm and homey. Even when your table is hidden in the corner, you'll still feel you're the spotlight for their attention - never had to look around and wave someone down for service.Quality of dishes meet those of fancier Chinese Seafood Restaurants but without the chandelier and beautiful chair coverings. Value goes to portion and service vs. location and setting.7lbs King Crab with 2 dish combo $2981) Garlic King Crab legs2) Pepper Salt or Deluxe Soy Sauced King Crab knucklesOptional add-ons:+ King crab fried rice - amazing! “This popular Vancouver restraunt has been around for decades.Everything is good and yummy.People flock to The Pink Pearl mostly for their wonderful dim sum.Food was so good, forgot to take pictures.4 instead of 5 because parking can be challenging and because the women's washroom had slippery wet floors.Finally.The rumors are not true. The Pink Pearl is so loved, they are not going anywhere .No housing will be built forcing the Pink Pearl to shut down.Vegetarian options: Mushrooms in a wonton wrapping, pumpkin wonton, green beans and more.Dietary restrictions: Low sodium etc available if you order from the menu and skip the yummy dim sum choices“
“Reasonable price, big portions, I love here! When we visit first time, we didn't know that they accept only cash at that time and didn't have cash. The staffs tried to help us a lot. Finally we did e-transfer after the owner came.Recommend to go early, there are many choices.“
“Friendly staff and beautiful restaurant. Portions are smaller than what you would find in traditional Chinese restaurants, but as it is a very esthetic place, I think the portions are what you would expect there. The food is good though, I'm satisfied with it! The table waiting system is quite efficient!“
