“They finally have a gluten free menu! My family has been ordering take-out and dining in at Penang for at least 10 years now and they've always been super accommodating and knowledgeable of my gluten intolerance, modifying dishes for me, etc. Thanks so much, guys, you know it means a lot to me! The owners are friendly and service is always great. My go tos are curry prawns, Thai chicken or tofu, House Special Fried Rice, and Mixed Vegetables, but I'm excited that there's so much on the GF menu to choose from now.“

“First time dining here. It was tasty and fresh. Very pleasant. We were a bit concerned as there have been some negative reviews and the place was empty of customers when we arrived but our fears were soon put to rest and we enjoyed our meal. Thank you“

“The original Shanghai restaurant in white rock. Used to come here a lot.
The hot and sour soup is flavourful to my taste, but it is really an acquired taste so don’t expect the soup to be fitting to your taste because it is likely different from each restaurant.
There are special daily dishes written on a whiteboard place over the cashier make sure to check it out before you order.
it’s really a unique taste because they serve authentic Shanghai Cuisine. Shanghai Cuisine are not flavourful compared to other Chinese cuisine. It is in fact quite sweet. What I’m trying to say is that the dishes wont be as flavourful as Wok places or other restaurants.
Overall a decent restaurant they you should visit. Whilst the food is quite good, BUT don’t expect it to be boggy or clean like the newer Chinese restaurants.“

“Ordered catering trays for a celebration and it was our first time trying Ken’s Cafe. We will only be ordering from Ken’s from now on for our family events!
Food tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and healthy - even the fried wontons and squid were light and crispy without being greasy. Everyone at our party commented on how good the food was - even my hard-to-please parents and picky children loved the food. We had plenty of leftovers and were excited to eat it again the next day.
Service was great from start to finish. We ordered on the phone a couples weeks before our event, I was able to conveniently pay by phone. We also got a phone call 1-hour before pickup confirming our order, which was very helpful! At pickup, the owners helped us load the food and even gave our kids free handmade chocolates to enjoy.

“We decided to drop by & order take out food . It only took 20 minutes wait , then went back to my car but my car won’t start on the first day of snow& was very cold. I called BCAA but it will take an hour & a half to arrive. Went back inside the restaurant & told the lady, she said ohh your food will be cold, offered us a table to eat( no dine in ) & gave us hot tea & bottled water. We are very thankful for their hospitality & kindness. It showed the true meaning of CARING.“

“I came here two weeks ago for the first time. They have really good marinated meat and "dai bang" - which translates to Big Bun. Tastes really good, really fresh! Drove back today just to buy it again, and had their signature sausages. 5/5 Stars!!“

“A welcoming hello upon entering and exceptional service, ensuring you are seated and served quickly. The food was delicious. I let my daughter and her partner order some sharing dishes. (Large size portions) The only thing that was missed was the kimchi which apparently used to be served instead of the pickled radishes. This was my daughters wish as she loves kimchi.“

“I went to dragonville tonight for dinner by myself. And the staff were so friendly and so nice. That food smelled delicious. And it was on, let's say delicious. I would go back. I would give it for serving. I would give it 5 stars for food. Five stars and the staff five stars, one of the nicest people.I've ever met.They're so nice there“

“I started coming here just recently after they had a change in management a couple of years ago.The previous owners provided very tasty food so I thought I would give this restaurant another go.I ordered the combo #4 meal with chicken chow mein and I was very satisfied with the quality and the quantity.The chop suey was very lightly sautéed so the vegetables were very crunchy which is what I like.The sweet and sour pork was reasonably moist and lean.No breaded blobs of fat.There was so much food on the plate that I could barely finish it and even 4 hours later I was still quite full.They refilled my water without me having to ask.I highly recommend Main Choice.😋“

“This pizza, it is absolutely phenomenal and the price is incredible. The driver even brought me a plastic cup double cupped, because I had ordered a two liter seven 7up. It was the perfect addition to my large pizza. Then add the delivery.And it only came up to twenty seven dollars. I'm being on a budget after moving.
It was the perfect addition to a very tiring night and day ..... I give this place a thousand percent rating of perfection.$$$$$$“

“Love the sushi. The Toro and Salmon nigiri have the biggest cuts of fish I have seen other than the Tokyo Fish Market. The restaurant accidentally forgot to throw in one of my rolls on a takeout order, and they delivered it to my house in less than 10 mins… felt more like 5 mins.“

“We loved it! Not sure if we ordered from Chinese menu or Canadian Chinese menu but that gave us a good laugh. The ginger beef actually tasted gingery and was slightly crispy, not drenched in sauce. The eggplant was mouthwatering and enormous portion, chicken Pao wasn't my choice but very tasty and the gailan were perfectly cooked. Everything arrived well packed and piping hot. Generous portions, cute chopsticks and spoons. Can't wait for next time.“

We chose squid hoping it would resemble a Salt & Pepper Squid dish.
Sadly, it did not.
Nothing like a Salt & Pepper Squid dish.
Zero blame/fault to Fong's on this.

Portions were decent and the food was as good as any Chinese food I’ve had locally. We had a lot of leftovers. Would for sure order from here again next time. Only complaint would be the photo shows 2 egg rolls but the order is for only 1.“

“We have come here for my birthday every year since about 2012, there has never been a dish I didn't love. This year for my 65th, we had Peking Duck, it was incredible. The Sweet and Sour Pork is my all time favorite of any I have had, and is usually how I judge a Chinese food restaurant.“

“First time having dinner here tonite and we ordered peking duck with crepe, spicy squid with rock salt, crab in cream sauce, mongolian beef, general tso chicken, seafood crispy noodle chow mein and mixed stir fry vegetables....portion size was plentiful and food was tasty - service was excellent and prompt and attentive.....will be coming back......“

“Was going to use the washroom today and took a quick look as I was walking by and the food was half off since they were jist about to close so I got the fried rice and lemon chicken and it was actually amazing considering it was one of 4 resturaunts in that tiny food court. “Today I dropped by Don’s Asian kitchen for lunch and had a very nice meal which consisted of the red chile covered cumin lamb and a crisp cold garlic celery. A great combination of rich medium spicy lamb with cool crunchy celery. The meat was tender and well cooked with a nice cumin flavor. The tea was perfect for the day. The nice lady who took my order was really bright and friendly! I am not familiar with either of the dishes I ordered , so others might rate them a notch higher or lower, but having consumed traditional Chinese cooking in Taiwan Bangkok etc I am a reasonably experienced diner. The bathroom was clean and serviced. Easy parking. I will try them again!“

“Had dinner there with friends some 13 people. We got the private room. My first time there at suggestion of friend... found the restaurant really nicely done up in a more modern Chinese restaurant style. The food was really good overall. I live in Richmond and definitely comparable to if not better than those considered top Chinese restaurants in Richmond. Highly recommend!“

“I recently visited this Chinese restaurant and was blown away by both the food and the service. Every dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with real attention to detail. The flavours were authentic without being overly heavy, and the portions were very generous.
Our server Sania was warm, attentive, and made great recommendations—everything came out quickly and piping hot. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a welcoming atmosphere.
Highly recommend the wonton soup, chicken chow-mein, chicken fried rice, ginger beef, and spring rolls. I’ll definitely be coming back. 👏🥢“

“Great place to eat, good amount of food for the price.
Food was delicious and devoured; the lo mein was some of the best I’ve ever had.
Would go again, service was great, staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of customers but I also arrived at peak times so it’s understandable.
Cheap, delicious food at a fair price. You can’t beat it.

“Been getting my filipino food here since 2008 and sure the price went up now its 2023 but the quality of the food never changed everything taste how i expect it to taste. For the past 15 years i still drop by to this old, clean and simple restaurant. Unfortunately as of this year they don’t do dine in.“

“Went to The Bund, February 12. Went for dinner. Sat on patio. Heaters kept us warm. Had pineapple chicken, Shanghai fried noodles, and beef and greens. It was all amazing. The couple who own it and run it, are beautiful. My new favorite restaurant.“
