“I just ordered using uber eats, so I am just commenting on the food. It was fantastic!

The mixed vegetables were cooked perfectly and the sweet and sour pork has that old school taste which is really hard to find. The honey garlic chicken tastes great, was a little mushy but the taste is great. Rice and chow mein also delish.

My only complaint is with how greasy the spring roll was, but not taking a star away because of this. I will order again for sure!“

“Great food, cozy and warm atmosphere with simple and homey decoration. The seafoods in butter sauce is rich and creamy but not overly fatty. The salt & chili squid is well-seasoned and is very crispy. The sweet & sour pork is also well-seasoned and soft. The staff were friendly and hospitable , even when it got a bit busy during our visit.“

“We enjoy the food! I especially love the Buddha feast veggies & glass noodles. The house special rice & chow mein is a favourite of ours and hubby always gets the boneless sweet & sour pork. The boy working the front end, phones lacks any kind of customer service skills. We've had poor customer service issues. Best to pay with debit or credit or he may not have change & will keep extra as his tip, not deserved. The food however is amazing! Kudos to the cooks!“

I got a variety of items to share with my family such as the spinach noodles, green beans, pan fried dumplings, and wonton soup and all of them tasted fantastic! The chili oil is really good as well, perfect kick and flavor. Not to mention they all came pretty quickly.

“This is a very small noodle house in New Westminster by the train station and above Safeway. The eatery is tiny but it has a cozy atmosphere. It looks like a family run business. What's great and unique about this noodle house is that they make the noodles by hand everytime you order.

We had two noodle dishes and we liked them both. The portion were very generous and the price reasonable. For two noodle dishes, and an order of green onions cakes it came to $47.71 and we brought home lots of food for many days.

We will return and try other dishes like soup as other patrons had and they looked good. Recommended!“

I recommend sharing with at least two or more people. Despite the scale of fried chicken, I didn’t feel greasy after finishing it.

Cash only. There is an ATM at the lottery convenience at the other end of the mall. You are given a pager that vibrates and rings once your food is ready. Seating can be difficult at peak times since there’s other food spots in the cafeteria.“

“Tai Er is still one of my favourite spots in Richmond for Chinese sauerkraut fish. I remember coming here back when they were even better—using live fish and making their own sauerkraut in-house in those big jars. They don’t do that anymore, which is a bit of a shame, but the sauerkraut fish is still one of the best in Vancouver.

I also like that they’ve expanded the menu to include more Chinese stir-fry dishes. I also always order now the deep fried shirmp in mayo—it’s crispy, creamy, and absolutely addictive.

Even though some things have changed over the years, Tai Er is still my go-to when I’m craving that signature Chinese sauerkraut fish. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of bold, sour, spicy Sichuan flavours!“

We always pay a good tip at the register but…….. the one and only thing we see that needs attention. Is the attention to the sitting customers. Even when slow, the one big difference we see between the two places is unfortunately the lack of service once seated. We never see anyone coming around to refill the water, napkins, etc…. And when we’re ready to go have to look around to get their attention when we’re ready to leave for the ice cream and a container for left overs. “Yin Ji Chang Fen is one of the best places for Cantonese rice noodle rolls in the area. The rice rolls are silky smooth, made fresh to order, and the sweet soy sauce is perfectly balanced. We tried the shrimp and beef rice rolls, and both were packed with filling and tasted authentic. The congee was also rich and comforting. Service was fast, and the restaurant was clean and well organized. If you’re craving traditional Cantonese breakfast or comfort food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back to try more items on the menu!“

“The logo looks like a deli/meat store but it’s actually part of a chain. I haven’t tried the others (all a bit different) but this one came highly recommended by our foodie friends. Food: 5/5 - They have 12 must-order dishes including a fried eggplant 🍆 which was SO GOOD. A blast of flavour including spicy, savoury, sweet, and herb-y🌿? It was lightly fried and not too oily. Basically I loved it. Our second dish was not from the must-try only because I’m a huge sucker for sour-spicy clear noodles of any type. Although it was not as good as my favourite version of this dish from the Aberdeen food court (Sichuan style) HOWEVER Richie could actually eat this one because it wasn’t as spicy haha🔥. Essentially a “lighter” version but still packed with flavour. It came on a hard-to-reach, raised bowl but I think that’s easy enough to tweak. The restaurant is still new and feeling things out. Our last dish was an omu-rice mapo tofu (lol) and Richie loved it, “It hits the right flavour in every way - not too salty, not too spicy, great tangy-ness, a little oily but immensely appetizing.” The manager said that they make the chili oil and spices from scratch. Prior to our visit we also tried their “sauce duck” or 酱鸭 which is a “thick” soy sauce, sweet duck (think Cantonese/HK roasted duck but sweet) which might not be for everyone but it’s interesting and worth trying if you like food that’s both sweet and salty. There’s also a Nanjing salted duck that we’ll try next time😊. Service: 4/5 - There was only one server aside from the manager today but both were wonderful at checking in and very quick to react to our needs. It’s also the first weekend of “dining-in” again so I wouldn’t hold it against them. Price: $$ - They have a good mix of affordable and fancy choices alike. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - My only complaint is that it’s a too bright inside (I think mood is very important) and I’m not sure what they want to be. It’s not exactly fine dining nor is it casual, nor fun/hip. But the food is good enough that it doesn’t matter. “Richmond has a very large number of eateries specializing in Chinese food. Some quite outstanding, in fact. But when you are looking for an affordable option, and you are in the area near Richmond Centre, Aberdeen Centre, etc., then head out to the food court at Landsdown Centre right on No. 3 Rd. Among the many options here is R & H Chinese Food. On our last visit, we ordered one of our favourite items, Xiao Long Bao, the broth inside very tasty. We also ordered, Boiled Pork Dumplings with Chives, Wonton in Hot Chili Sauce, and had to go back for a couple more orders of the Xiao Long Bao. All dishes were very good. Maybe not the best you can find in Richmond, but certainly hit the spot, made right there in front of your eyes, and very affordable. They also have frozen items to take home, by the way... Finding seating at the food court might get complicated, depending on the day/time. But eventually, a table will be available, even for larger groups. Definitely recommend.“

Make sure to get the shrimp balls 🦐⚽🏀🥎 Everything is always fresh and the service has always been great from everyone, but especially Victor. He’s the very best! There’s $20 AYCE now, so no excuse not to try Happy Lamb at least once…you’ll definitely be back! The impressive drink vending machine alone is worth a visit 😃“

Crispy chips, soy noodles, and Chinese side dishes. The grill is charcoal and it just adds that depth of flavor the meat selection is great. Went for the deluxe set and boy was it good. Lots options. Try the premium beef belly and the selection of porks. Oh free unlimited Ice cream in the end. I went here before on my birthday and had a group of 20. They can accommodate but make to call to reserve.

“Came on a Friday night and luckily didn’t have to wait too long for a table. Their dry pot was definitely delicious. It took around 30 minutes from ordering to getting our food, and it seemed like every table had the same wait. Whether it’s worth waiting that long is up to you to decide. The servers were all very friendly and provided great service.“
