“I was surprised to see the shop still quite busy despite arriving near the closing hour on a Sunday. The shop is spacious and bright. They have space to cater both bigger groups and solo dinners. There is parking in the plaza but not a lot, so plan ahead! The staff were quick to cater to customers arriving and they explain how much the waiting time was immediately. They also take both cash and card As soon as I was seated, they served hot tea. If you order a spicy dish, they give you an option of how spicy how you want your food (ie., mild, medium, hot spicy). I ordered a medium spicy No.45 with biang biang noodles (Hot Spicy Oil on Brised Beef Noodles), and the spiciness was not too bad at all. The sauce was just the right amount of savoury - there was no overpowering element, and I really enjoyed the balanced taste. The beef was tender and the cabbage still had a little crunch to it. The biang biang noodles were the highlight of this meal, of course. It's thick and chewy, and so fun to eat! Next time I'll have to try their cold noodles and dumplings!“
“Very good non-Cantonese style Chinese food. This place serves mixed styles of cuisine, and does everything amiably with good authenticity and taste. Their set meals also seem to be a pretty good deal. Definitely want to try everything they have on the menu!“
“Had a long time ago kebab dinner tonight. I’ve bought takeaway mutton skewers before. When they found out it was my birthday today, they gave me a big bowl of longevity noodles. We ordered mutton skewers with fried rice, mutton skewers, chicken wings, grilled buns...every dish was delicious. Although they are very busy, the service is very good. We will visit again.“
“The food at this restaurant is fantastic. It is one of my families go to restaurant and we drive 30 minutes out of our way just for the restaurant. The food is fresh, flavourful, and hearty. We always get a few extra samsas and meat pies to eat over the next few days because they are delicious and so well made. Everything we’ve tried at the restaurant has been exceptional, with our favourites being the ququre soup, polo, and dapanji.“
“Best happy lamb location. Even though I live near the other ones I’ll always make the trip out to the Coquitlam location. Self serve food, quick service and fountain drinks are now included. Although I wish they still had mussels and the lamb shanks ?“
“I drive all the way from Richmond just to eat here. The portions are so damn big and the food tastes so good. The staff and owners are very friendly and these factors to come together to produce such a pleasant atmosphere.Ordering the combo yields the best value and I'd recommend getting the sauce on the side so you can 1) choose how much you want and 2) can taste but the with/without sauce taste!“
“A good place to enjoy a quick lunch of Xiao Long Bao dumplings and Pan fried buns. XLB skin was not too thin/thick and the pan fried buns were light, fluffy, and crispy on the bottom with soup inside. Only thing is service could have been slightly better and waited a while for the pan fried buns.“
“My partner is from Taiwan and claims their stewed pork rice is better than the ones they had the last time they visited home. We've also had their pork and chive dumplings which are really great. Haven't tried the rest of the menu but I think if you try any of the traditional Taiwanese or Chinese dishes you're gonna enjoy it! Plus the name is super cute "Come Home Quickly!'“
“Had takeout order of one of their speciality sweet and sour pork, which had thin batter and good quality of pork. Also beef fried rice was unexpectedly delicious. Both were outstanding. Surely will return and order again. And very friendly customer service!“
“Beautiful. First time for us. But r Coquitlam fam hv b there for years. Friendly staff. Great service. Generous portion. Good food. Excellent menus. Two things stand out. 1/ value for money oh…my - unbelievable. Also, for set menu free starter ( ie daily soup) free fried rice or free fried noodle n free dessert-soup. Very very few do these three. Most just plain white rice. 2/ Very clean n spacious ? oh…my. Huge thank you to the managers Jenny n ah-lan who took care of our table. Beautiful ????. Once again thank you very much. Our must go to restaurant in the tri-city.“
“I always have had a good experience in the 15 years I’ve been coming here. Heidi and all the staff are wonderful. I love supporting them and seeing everyone. The large portions for dinner are incredible for the price!!! I always have left overs. I love that they offer many vegetarian options too. They offer many Canadian-Chinese dishes and traditional Chinese dishes with some Canadian/American favourites (like hamburgers). I recommend the mushroom fried rice, onion pancakes (it’s like rosti), or the bean spout chow mein... especially with the chili oil they offer at each table. But the big plate of broccoli in garlic sauce is my favorite if you want something light but filling. They also offer it with Chinese broccoli. My friends and family love the daily specials and combo plates... if you don’t want a big plate of 1 big thing, the combos plates let you get 3 of the main dishes: a fried rice, a chow mein, sweet and sour pork or chicken, etc. For Family dinners they even offer a family combo “dinner for 2/4/6/etc” and have different daily specials. They also offer breakfast, dim sum, wonton soup, and other items. I also recommend their french fries. They SO good but they always come fresh hot and crispy. (Just really good simple fries.) They used to be known as the Austin Heights Diner (1989-2013) if you’ve been a longtime resident of coquitlam, I urge you visit them at their new location.“
“I've been eating at Zhou's since 2016 when I lived in the area. It is no longer an eat in restaurant, they serve take out only so those cheaper lunch specials are also no longer. Boooo! The food is still really delish but the prices have risen dramatically $25+ dinner for 1 person which is quite steep but they also do not have any decent competition nearby.“
“From the outside, it does not look like much and a place to walk past. This would be a mistake as the food is amazing for both takeout as well as dine in.I've been doing takeout for years and finally ate in with a friend. Both of us enjoyed the meal and destroyed the house special chowmein. Beef and broccoli were some of the best I have ever had. This is a great place to try and you won't regret“
“Go to place for dim sum in coquitlam. Usually quite busy, place starts getting quieter around 1-2pm.Would recommend har gow, siumai, spare pork ribs, and beef rice roll (the classics). Chicken feet here is good as well. Most dishes are $10 each and comes with 4 juicy pieces to share.Service is alright, they will speak to you in chinese. Ive been here twice and some orders take over 30+ minutes to come.“
“We ordered New Year’s Eve dinner for 14 ppl and arranged for it to be ready for 8pm. Not only was the food ready on time, but it was fresh, hot and delicious. Everyone enjoyed the meal and kept going back for more. We had a variety of food for vegetarians, kids and adults and there was plenty of everything. Thanks for helping make a great evening even better!!“
“Excellent little place for noodles!!! I got a beef shank dry thin noodle and a fried chicken for take out. Noodles were perfectly seasoned and not oily. Chicken was juicy and crunchy even when I got home. Well marinated. When you order on their website, you can choose how spicy, how numbing, how oily etc. lots of customizations. I just chose regular for everything as this was my first time eating here. The only down side is it is a small shop; so waiting for your meal can be long during lunch hours. But I would wait for their food again!!“
