About Kashgar Uyghur Cuisine

Kashgar Uyghur Cuisine in Greater Vancouver offers authentic Uighur Xinjiang cuisine, with guests recommending the lagman, lamb shank soup, and samsa. The hand-pulled noodles are fresh and delicious, reminiscent of childhood memories. Families drive out of their way for the fantastic, flavourful, and hearty dishes, such as ququre soup, polo, and dapanji. Extra samsas and meat pies are a must for leftovers. The gentleman wearing the “doppa” hat, the owner/chef, makes everything fresh by hand, ensuring each meal feels like a home-cooked experience. He makes the best braised lamb in all of Greater Vancouver. The quality of ingredients and the unique flavor combinations make the food truly special, and many say it’s worth the wait. The chef’s skill is evident, and the city is lucky to have such talent. The first visit included lamb shank with naan; the lamb was tasty but small, and the bread was large but quite hard. The rice polo is their best seller. Expect a 15-25 minute wait for your food as everything is made fresh. Overall, it’s a place for those who appreciate authentic, flavorful dishes, even if the wait might be longer.

I found this amazing restaurant 6 years ago, and I come to eat at least once a month now. It’s the best food ever. I usually get laghman and naan, and I always finish it because it’s very delicious, it’s authentic, and I can never find this taste anywhere else. I tried laghman when I went to turkey and everywhere else, but the taste is not the same. I highly recommend this restaurant. Once you try it, you will be long committed customer.
