“Can't recommend this place enough. Great food and service, we stopped by White Rock on our way to visit Tsawwassen and couldn't be happier with our choice of dining at Sushi Iwa (in fact we went back after a few days).

The aburi sushi is very well priced and tastier than lots of others that I've been to. Donburi are huge with lots of thick cut sashimi in top.”

“Family style Japanese restaurant which reminded me the small bistros in Japan when we travelled there. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, if you are looking for something fancy, you can pass it, but if you like authentic family style food, it’s the right spot.
The sashimi is very fresh, the teriyaki series are well seasoned and served hot. The service is superb, all staff are kind and considerable. Will definitely come back again”

“We hosted a private family event at Onyx for 16 people and they absolutely blew us away! Nicholas was great to deal with and went above and beyond to accommodate. Our server Katja was wonderful and made sure everyone was happy including the kids, and the food was excellent. Perfect steaks, great house wine, unbelievable creme brulee - everything was fantastic. Thanks for a wonderful evening!”

“Great choice for ice cream, albeit a smaller shop so hard to get in and out. Has ice cream, gelato, and sorbetto, all at reasonable prices (~$5 a scoop, ~$7 double scoop, add $1 for gelato/sorbetto). Has kids scoop options as well as still allowing sampling.

. 20-30 flavours of ice cream, about 5-10 or gelato/sorbetto. Popular flavors mostly available, but don't expect the crazy flavors like sriracha or durian.

“Everybody always talks about the big names for fish n chips on the drive. Last year I stopped in with my son and hands down had the greatest fish both of us have ever tasted! We will be back in a few weeks for our annual beach day followed by a stop at FishBoat!”

“I love this hidden gem of a Thai restaurant so much! They have many yummy Thai food menu selections. My favorites are the veggie spring rolls, fried rice, and their pad Thai. The restaurant is very clean with a cozy atmosphere, and the service is fast here. Furthermore, I love the one server who wear their traditional Thai wardrobes.”

“There are quotes from Einstein in the store! It’s a perfect combination of food and spirit. The beef ramen is extremely authentic, not too salty, the beef slices are tender, the texture is delicate, the ramen is chewy, the shredded potatoes are very Beijing, and the braised eggs are so traditional. There is also the pancake fruit. The crackers inside are so thin and crispy. I was so surprised when I tasted this in North America. If you come to Canada, you must visit this coffee shop that has been in business for over 50 years.”

Due to food taking so long, his bday cake was given right after. 9 pm was fast approaching and we felt very rushed to get out. Staff cleaning all up. Never had time to digest , have a break, a coffee l, then cake. This needs to improve before I would return”
