“UPDATE Shortly after posting I was contacted by the owner and he has generously offered to correct this for us. Great customer service and follow up! Thank you! We are frequent customers and love the food as a rule. We have come to expect great quality meals and terrific service from The Carvery. Unfortunately today we had a slightly different experience. Our sandwiches were delicious as usual but the mushroom soup had large chunks of unblended flour (roux) in the soup. At first we thought they were chunks of potato but then realized that was not the case. The taste and texture did not make for an appetizing bowl of soup as it was very flour heavy. I called the restaurant to let them know and the lady on the phone just said okay thanks for letting us know and made to hang up. Which is fine, but no offer to replace my 2 soups or anything. A little disappointed I admit. I am posting this just so that perhaps the staff can handle this differently in the future. We will still be back, they are hands down the best sandwich shop here!”

I had the veganator and I was blown away by how good it was. I had a cake made for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and it was such a hit. We had it made eggless. All I have to say is I’ve never had all adults have slice of cake or a large cake finish so fast! They absolutely killed it with the design and flavour.

We has a few other appies - all amazing. my wife had the butter chicken (chefs specialty) - yes it is! Drinks were very satisfying. I had a Moscow Mule - ok I had 2. The garlic naan is: wrap yourself up you're in heaven. Water was room temp to reduce the heat if needed but they brought a carafe which wa appreciated. Again, our server was attentive & knowledgeable about the kitchen and made great recommendations. The kitchen was on WoW mode. The food was extremely well prepared. what was left we gleefully packed to go. Is it good value? The quality ingredients and care I the kitchen says YES. This well above your average Indian Kitchen. I know there are lots of Indian restaurants in Surrey but this one will take your taste-buds places. The food; feels, smells, looks & tastes authentically amazing. They always had tax and deposit included in the prices. Suddenly their prices have been changed to not have tax and deposit. I am not sure why this was done. It was always better to know the price you see is the price you pay. I think this was a poorly thought out decision.”

Weekend brunch was decent for bar food. It's a good idea. I'll be going back for that. I thought everything was pretty pricey, but then I had to remind myself that Canadian prices are not like US prices. The liquor tax here is bonkers. So, I guess their prices are on point for the area. Fleetwood is my favorite area in Surrey. I like this place as being my local hang out that me and my chums can walk to. It's also a good first date place because it's pretty low key. I.E., not loud, it has an upbeat ambiance (especially cozy on a rainy day), and you can actually have a conversation and hear each other. Another positive is that they cater to a wide demographic. All ages, all races, and so there are lots of regulars. I have found that the patrons are generally easy going and so a conversation can started pretty easily.”

I upgraded my pork chashu ramen to the large size, and it was incredibly filling! The broth was delicious, rich, and satisfying, while the aburi chashu was the real highlight. Those six pieces of beautifully seared pork were sooo good!
The restaurant has a nice ambience, combining a modern look with plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a good bowl of ramen.
I'll definitely be coming back! Next time, I'm making sure to try their Hokkaido milk ice cream.
Parking tip: Guest parking is available, but spaces are very limited. Alternatively, City Centre parking is nearby and costs around $2–$3 CAD.
