“I love trying food from different cultures and this was my first time trying Filipino food!Right when I stepped in, I could smell the mouth-watering, slightly smoky scent of BBQ. The interior of Archie's was very cozy and it felt like I was eating at a friend/relative's house. Also, all the other customers were Filipino so I thought it meant that the food was authentic. My friends and I ordered the sisig with garlic rice and egg, adobo, and halo halo. The texture and flavour of the adobo was perfect—it was soft and the meat melts in your mouth without it being too salty. The sisig was served on a hot plate and still sizzling when it was put on the table. I really liked that there were crispy meat parts as well as tender parts and the egg that it came with was perfect when mixed into the garlic rice. I do have to say that the dishes were a bit greasy, so I would not be able to eat it everyday. We decided on getting the halo halo after seeing other tables ordering it. The serving was pretty big and it was the perfect size to split between three people. I have never tasted anything like halo halo before and it was amazing. I loved the texture of the toppings, the ube ice cream, and the overall sweet, but not too sweet flavour. At the end, the staff at the counter was nice to let my friends and I split the bill with our individual items and 1/3 of the halo halo. The meal was filling and I would definitely come back again to try the other Filipino food items!“
“The wait was long for the food. But it was worth it. Everything was made to order and everything came in hottt. The restaurant isn't very big and there's limited seating. There's plenty of street parking and they also have customer parking in the back. This would be a good place to try Filipino food if it's your first time. The server was informative and explains to you what the different kinds of dishes were. Get the crispy kare-kare. This one was my favourite out of the bunch.“

“First of all, Godbless these people. I was having problems in picking up my order due to miscommunication during my time of inquiry. There were a lot of complications with my order because I accidentally put in the wrong address and got delayed with my fees to them. But the person in charge of my order was very very patient and have a very warm and kind heart. I called them multiple times he never failed me and kept answering them and assisted me even though it was not part of his job description. You can RARELY find this kind of person. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family. I got the BEST service from him.“
“I disagree with the 1 star review below. Our experience was delightful. The food was fresh and delicious. Morica and Don was so pleasant and helpful. And I have recommended Jav’s to every member of my family. Looking forward to eating there again ???“
“Been getting my filipino food here since 2008 and sure the price went up now its 2023 but the quality of the food never changed everything taste how i expect it to taste. For the past 15 years i still drop by to this old, clean and simple restaurant. Unfortunately as of this year they don’t do dine in.“
“We decided to take out one menu since we wanted to try new chicken brand. We googled which menu is the most popular one here and it said spaghetti; which was temporarily sold out. So I asked staff when the spaghetti will be back in stock thinking we might wanna wait until it’s available again and he replied it will be available ‘when we have spaghetti ready’ lol. Yeah, thanks to such a helpful answer, we decided to grab something else and leave. Chicken palabok was something I never tasted before and I’d say it was pretty good and their spicy chicken was great! Overall, the food was very impressive and so did their service.“
“They have Chicken Inato. If you are from Cebu or a bisaya. You’ll know what is chicken inato. I could not find any Filipino resto that serves chicken inato. Feels like home indeed.Their Halo halo is a must try.Tried their pancit bihon. Not a fan. I would not rather say anything more.“
“Wish that we had taken a better pic. Food was amazing. Our first Filipino food.Chicken lumpia were crisp and delicate outside, full of tasty ground chicken. Pork belly, lechon was yummy with crazy textural layers; creamy fat, crisp skin and delicious pork. What a treat! Many caveats about the area. That said, Kanin + Ulam and the revived Turf next door are unique. Both are worth a gander.“
