My family go to place for sushi for decades - I had it when I was a young guy to now taking my own family there. We wish the owners good health! They are so kind
The best of the best in our area. Authentic and owned and run by a Japanese family. We won’t go anywhere else. Food is amazing and service equally as amazing.
Overall, the food was quite fresh, but the prices were on the higher side. For this price point, the flavors weren’t particularly outstanding. Personally, I found the tempura to be the most enjoyable dish.

The menu features must-try dishes like the beach roll, Uni sushi, spicy seared tuna, and tempura, which many find to be particularly enjoyable. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, showcasing authentic Japanese craftsmanship. Despite limited seating and being open only 3 days a week, guests are always welcomed warmly. Reservations are definitely recommended to secure a spot. For a true taste of Japan in the lower mainland, Kappa is a hidden gem worth visiting.
