“Finally decided to give this spot a try! Our server Alexis was AMAZING! Such an amazing server, so friendly, goes out of her way, so good with all her other tables too! The hostesses a brunette and blonde were incredibly unfriendly and didn’t smile once, even while we were there. We got worried our server would be rude but Alexis was great! The food is okay but not great. I was hoping it would be better than Cactus at least but it wasn’t and Cactus is a chain restaurant with delicious food every time. The dill wings didn’t taste like dill although the crunchiness of it was great! The coconut prawns and the gyozas weren’t anything special, tasted average and similar to frozen packaged food. I’ve definitely had better at other restaurants and $90 for 3 appetizers, a main and 2 sodas was a little steep only because it was very average food. The Haven Burger was decent! We would definitely come back to try other items next time only because Alexis was awesome and we’d come back for good service like that. But please tell your hostesses to be friendlier and smile. We were there for an hour and they battered a smile maybe ONCE with a colleague.“
“Clove is my go-to recommendation for dine in options whenever folks ask me for the best Indian food restaurant to eat at in Surrey. I’ve been here 4 times already and it has held up to the mark each time. The decor is tasteful and elegant. Music and ambience is well crafted and curated. And ofcourse the food is to die for! You can never go wrong with any of their dishes or drinks. Their serving staff are always on point with their recommendations and service. The entire place is truly the result of attention paid to the finer details & an appreciation for the art of dining.Spriha (pretty sure I’ve got that name wrong..sorry) served my table today and my friends and I were absolutely appreciative of her service & Ofcourse the consistency we continue to experience by way of quality & portions. The value for money cannot be overlooked either. A fantastic option for a fantastic price point. “Very cool interior finishing and we enjoyed a fantastic meal. Dry ribs for a shared appetizer, I wont share again they were delicious. Tuna poke and ahi tuna dinner and the third choice was braised beef fettuccine. All 3 dishes were excellent. It was a quiet Wednesday night and service was super. An excellent choice for a very nice dinner out. Sorry no pictures this time , my kids would have been all over me........“
“We live in the Granview district of South Surrey, White Rock. There are lots of different restaurants so we like to try different places. We've passed by S+L Kitchen many times and finally decided to go there for lunch. It was a weekday, so I knew it wouldn't be very busy. It was very nice inside, a very retro look and clean. We were greeted right away and seated anywhere we liked since it wasn't busy. Our waitress came quickly and took our drink orders. After bringing our drinks we ordered our food. I had the salmon bowl, and my wife had the lobster bisque. My salmon bowl came with a nice size piece of salmon. It was very tasty, and the veggies were really good. My wife thought her bisque should have had a little more lobster in it. All in all the food and service was very good. Will certainly go there and try dinner.“
“This is only restaurant right on the beach in this area. What a view!The service was great…they were so friendly!The food was very good…the halibut was the best I’ve had in a long time. The cookies and cream dessert was so good!I met the owners and they want feedback to make this place the best restaurant in this whole region…so don’t be shy.I thought the place was good but to get to the next level they need better tables and chairs. And have the upstairs ready. They just recently opened with new management so it will get better over time…hopefully by the summer.
