“La Cuisson Café offers a delightful experience for anyone seeking a cozy spot with an impressive menu. The ambiance is warm and inviting, reminiscent of a Parisian bistro with a modern twist. Their coffee is exceptional, boasting a rich and smooth flavor that coffee aficionados will appreciate. The highlight, however, is their patisserie selection. Each pastry is a work of art, perfectly balanced in flavor and texture. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality and atmosphere make it a worthwhile visit. Ideal for a leisurely brunch or a relaxing afternoon coffee, La Cuisson Café is a hidden gem that promises a memorable culinary journey.“
“Went for a quick lunch with a friend. I got the BLT with tomato soup. It was very tasty. The bacon was perfectly cooked and the sourdough was crispy and delightful. The soup was a nice combination. My friend got their chocolate croissant and she very much enjoyed it also. Customer service was great. Will be back again!“
“I read that the sandwiches were good and indeed the egg sandwich I had was superb!!! The toast was crisp, the ingredients were generous, tasted fresh and went so, so well together. I was really FULL after half a sandwich. Definitely a worthy and delicious purchase. As someone mentioned; no tipping charge for takeaways which is really appreciated“
“Just discovered this place today and it was such an amazing experience. Great food as well, not like the ones I've always had which are sometimes too salty or too bland, this one is just fantastically balanced flavors. Would definitely come back with my friend!“
“O-Cha stands in stark contrast to the rest of Yaletown in that it’s soulful and welcoming while also being high quality and expertly curated. Wilson is both knowledgeable and personable and clearly enjoys making customers happy. Anyone who visits O-Cha will be able to find something that suits them.“
“Phenomenal Sandwich. This place is spot on for an amazing experience. For a person like myself who hates mustard, this place has the most amazing house mustard.( I love it). I tried the Porchetta & Feature McMeatball both were top notch. Their bread was amazing flavorful and crisp but still soft inside. Portions were great, definitely filling. Prices were spot on for the insane quality. Friendly Staff. Clean Establishment. Fast Service. Cozy Atmosphere“
“Love coming here for a quick and delicious lunch in the middle of a busy shift. The owners and staff are so lovely and friendly. Really enjoyed the chicken ceasar wrap and salted double chocolate cookie. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fresh and healthy meal or snack!“
“Ordered take out here for the first time. Easy to order over the phone. Pick-up was exactly what time they estimated. There was parking in the back where the entrance is accessible on the side of the building. Restaurant was full at 7:30. Patrons were very diverse. It's not fine dining inside but it looked very clean including the glance I had into the back. I ordered sweet and sour pork and beef fried rice noodle. The portion size was good (decently filled to fit the container). I frequently order these dishes at other restaurants and can say they were nicely done. I'd say the value is on par to other similar establishment if not slightly less expensive. The discount for pick-up was also nice. I think this might be my new go-to rather than trekking it to Fraser Street.“
“This place has the feeling of a small family run restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. Our family of 6 was served and fed in under 30 minutes . We did their family special dinner for 5 .The food was brought out immediately from the kitchen as soon as it was ready. It was great to have a steady flow of new dishes to try, and it allowed us to be a little early to our next appointment.Street parking was the only challenge.Parking: Street parking only.“
“I love this place! The food is delicious and affordable. The owners are the nicest people. They have a fun game where if you can guess the weight of your salad in grams you get it for free! I'll never guess right but it's always a good time. Did I mention the food is delicious? I think this place might be the best kept secret in the entire mall.“
“Hong Phat is a great restaurant for South Vietnamese (Do not get it mixed up with North Vietnamese Pho as it is very different style) comfort food. I was introduced to this place by my girlfriend and we go there once in a while to enjoy their food. Had a chance to try their new menu today and they added a few new items on there. As always, it was a pleasant meal. The staff overall is very courteous and helpful when taking order and helping out. Highly recommended for lunch/brunch for a good price in the current economy! The Salted Caramel Coffee is a MUST HAVE for those who are coffee drinkers! It is a great combination of the South Vietnamese coffee robusta beans with a nice layer of salted foam on the top. Great balance of the coffee.“
“Food is exactly what I expected for a little dinner/cafeteria. Counter staff are really nice. It's just a few tables and chairs inside. I went there during a time of day where I could eat and read a book. I imagine early and at noon they are quite busy.“
“For years relied on an upscale dim sum place with a location in Richmond and one on Main St., but had an unpleasant experience post pandemic. Have tried a couple of other places with mixed results and ended up here on Sunday. It did not disappoint - authentic, reasonably priced and delicious with some of the best service ever for a dim sum place. Sizeable menu, some items only after 11 am, large portions. Most the "usual" suspects on offer with a couple of fun twists per below. The individual portions of siu mai, hat gow etc were larger than most places and in addition, there was often one or two more pieces than one would normally have in an order. Xo sauce chunky but on point and reasonable cost, no charge for tea. Free parking out back if driving. One day I will figure out how to order Worcestershire in my bad mandarin and not get ketchup... Will be returning for sure“
“Porchetta is starting to sit out and get preparred too much in advance, was cold. Most significant change, they are falling victim to shrinkflation. Sandwhiches are getting smaller. Nearly 15$ sandwhich now with tax don't cut down on the meats. Otherwise a good high end sandwhich place.“
“A delicious, healthy unexpected find! When travelling, i find it difficult as a vegetarian to get healthy food that has protein. Tractor fit the bill! I ordered a bowl and it hit all my macros and was delicious! Usually, the portions of vegetarian protein are meagre but Tractor offered a large portion of tofu to add to my bowl and i was very happy to get adaquate protein for the one meal. The service was amazing too! The young man (assistant manager?) Was so personable and friendly. He was very enthusiastic about the food and making recommendations for my partner.Highly recommend. I would eat here multiple times per day next time i come to Vancouver to ensure i get healthy delicious fresh food!Vegetarian options: Lots of options, clearly labelledDietary restrictions: Great for those wanting to eat healthy food and counting macros“
“Food was great and tasted wonderful. We ordered a bunch of food to share, Oxtail Kare Kare, binagoongang baboy and crispy Pata. Bit pricey but I guess you pay for the quality. The seating was quite uncomfortable as it had tears and tape on it but all okay apart from that.Nice business ran by good people. Great community here.“
“I absolutely love their fresh sandwiches and soups all made from scratch and the menu is very affordable. My favourite sandwiches are the BBQ Pulled Pork and Pesto Chicken which is bursting with flavour. I love all of their soups although some of the soups are a little too salty for me. They also sell a lot of their soups in pouches that you can take home and warm up yourself which I like.“
“A hidden gem in Fairview! I saw a local community member post on a Facebook group about this place and HAD to give it a try.SO tasty, great product and quality, super fresh. I feel good supporting local and hope this review entices other locals to give it a try ;)“
“PROS:Have really on tried the spicy beef noodle soup, bbq pork fried rice, duck fried rice, and spicy won tons. They all have been tasty or satisfactory. No complaints in the taste department from me.CONS:I used to eat here twice a week at least when they had the 10% off when ordering online, but since the removal, I have eaten there a few times since last year. The price is similar to restaurant food, so a bit expensive considering it is food court food. Maybe this is due to the addition of the "free" drink. Maybe it is now due to the cost of food. The "free" drink included with some of the items should be removed. One reason is because of the cup fee in Vancouver. The other is that I don't care much for the drinks. Choice would be nice and hopefully will reduce the price of the meal and reduce unnecessary waste.“
“Food & ambience are really good . The service not so good the waitresses were chatting we called 3x no one seemed to notice until our 4th call and waving to get their attention. There were only 2 tables with customers at that time .I will still return because the food are “
“I highly recommend this tofu and seafood stew. The oysters are super large. I like hot food to relieve my nostalgia for Taiwan. I ordered too much this time. We only have three adults. We can’t finish it. It’s nice to eat it occasionally. The waiter is kind. He is polite and wears a decent uniform. Not bad, come again next time“
“Amazing broth! The flavouring is on point. The food comes out fast and hot and delicious. The staff are always cheerful and attentive. The only drawback is the miserable lack of parking, even without the massive construction going on atm.“
“Superb performance Pho broth. Good portions and quick friendly service . The server even checked with us later if we were enjoying our meal . One of the best pho places in vancouver hands down. I also enjoyed their deep fried chicken appetizer.“
“I strolled in after work on a rainy day to warm up with a bowl of soup. The man working that evening was an absolute delight. He was attentive, patient and friendly. I couldn’t decide what I wanted and he was kind enough to offer that I try before I buy (always much appreciated). I’m so glad I did because I went with the ‘ginger chilli tomato’ soup and it was exactly what I needed in that moment. As someone who values service first, this place hit the mark. I don’t mind spending a little extra for extraordinary service. Thank you to the OV location staff!“
“A great place to get a healthy take out option! Service is quick and well priced.Vegetarian options: Tofu is available, it is seasoned with chili lime. How spicy this option is varies on seasoning.Dietary restrictions: Be careful of sodium in certain options. I suggest looking up their menu which seems to change slightly based on season.“
“Perfect for when you're craving meat....and bread. The meatball sub was incredible. Each bite, delicious, saucy, messy. The spices inside the meatball were very apparent in the best way. Kale works very well.Only downside? The drink options. They were craft soda options when I would've preferred cheaper options like Coke Zero. But if that's the worst thing at a sandwich shop, it's pretty great, right?“
“This hidden gem is a staple in east/south Vancouver. I’ve been coming here for years.Prices have increased but you’re still getting more value and quality here.If you’re looking for south Chinese Cantonese style food, it’s here. This place gets really busy and packed full of people quickly. Reservations are highly recommended. Our families, friends, and co workers, always get the family set menu. It comes with soup, rice, entree items, and dessert. Not many people know this but you can also bring them your fresh seafood and they can cook it for you the way you like. The boss lady will decide the charge. They also do a cork fee if you decide to bring your own bottle of alcohol. Also cash only!If you’re a regular the service staff will take care of you. If your not then your service is going to be a hit or miss.Miss the old days when they had a late night menu after 9:30pm.“
“Hong Kong style cafe in a very busy mall in VancouverIt’s my first time here and I think it’s affiliate with Amigo restaurant in Richmond as menu and taste are similiarLunch set prices are pretty good with soup , toast , main dish + drinksAs I on low carb diet it cost $6 additional to substitute rice with stir fry veggieSteak was good tender and juicyMilk tea rich in flavorService was average always interesting to run into server with attitude, but still very politeThere are 2 hours free parking and the parking lot was super super busyParking: Free parking lot but the lot was really busy2 hours free parking“
“Super cute little place soup is delish and fresh. They offer loads of frozen food too for take away.I got the roast garlic and tomato soup with a toasted cheese sandwich came out to about 13$ so reasonably priced and yummy. Will definitely come back.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian soups and sambos not sure about veganParking: Only a few on street parking which can be very full and a max of 3hr stays“
“Highly recommend tractor for a quick, easy and tasteful lunch. The avocado and chicken baguette was delicious and very filling. The customer service was second to none even though there was a queue the staff were very professional and efficient. If you have a sweet tooth I would also recommend the dark chocolate banana bread!“
“Tried it on DoorDash for the first time, reviews said the porchetta sandwich, so I ordered it. But… I wouldn’t order it again.I found it to be too fatty.. and the texture of pork fat everywhere. Not enough crackling, or maybe it got soggy from the oil in the sandwich?I got tomato soup, not sure if it was supposed to come with any toppings, but it didn’t.The bread was unreal.. but again, the oil from the meat made the bread soggy.“
“We tried the platter which was absolutely delicious. The taste of each item in the platter was different from the other and is above and beyond expectations. About biryani’s my personal favourite is vijaywada chicken biryani. The chicken is so well marinated and soft. And the biryani rice so amazing. I would love to visit this place again. Highly recommended for people who love biryani.“
