“The owner, Mehdi, created this salad house because he saw how eating good food contributes to good health. When people are healthy, they are happy and kind. He told me about people he lost from cancer and illness from unhealthy eating. When he opened this store, I saw how much love and care he put into the decorations, selections of ingredients, preparation of food and serving people. He always have a nice smile no matter what day he has. He wants to make the world a better place by getting people to eat yummy, fresh and happy things. And he like to play the game of you guessing the weight of your bowl for a chance to win a free salad.“

“Deja Brew has the best sandwiches and wraps in the area! The Chicken Diablo is delicious, and so filling! My office orders lunch from here at least once a week, and it's always a hit. Their cookies and baked goods are all enormous, and so good. The staff is also so genuinely friendly, and know many of their customers by name. Deja Brew is always a great lunch experience.“

“Exploring Calgary, we came across Meat & Bread and decided to try the Feature sandwich & the buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were incredible, but it was the amazing staff that made it experience a great one. Friendly, super accommodating & gave us extra pickles & sauces to try. Business and service like this is what makes people enjoy traveling & trying new things! Will not be forgetting this place & will be back!!“

“Prepare to be transported to Thailand! The owners are incredibly kind are welcoming, and bring the underrepresented Central Thai flavors to Vancouver. Pad Thai, Green Curry, Larb moo, pineapple fried rice, and roti were all prepared with generous portions of fresh ingredients and full flavored spices. Go for the fresh coconut to cool down. Plenty of free parking off of main street. Highly recommended.“

Today I visited Saiko Sushi, one of Vancouver’s highly rated sushi destinations, and the quality was absolutely impressive.
My favorites:
🥩 Wagyu Sushi
🍣 Salmon Belly
🐟 Toro
💛 Hamachi
The chef’s delicate cuts really highlighted the freshness and texture of each ingredient.
But the biggest surprise was the Saba 🤯
It was topped with an umami-packed seaweed that perfectly balanced the flavor of the fish. Complex, elegant, and incredibly delicious.
If you’re a sushi lover, this place deserves a spot on your Vancouver food list.

“I was thoroughly impressed with the pho broth, it has been awhile since I’ve had such authentic flavour. The portion is very generous and having pickled spicy garlic was just an extra special experience. The staff were good, what was quite endearing was one young man saw me packaging my own takeaway and offered to put Saran Wrap to make sure it didn’t leak. I was initially drawn to this restaurant as they offered a new menu with clam congee and pate sticky rice - while advertised outside, it wasn’t shown inside. Plenty of seating in front with also a backroom, clean, friendly staff, complimentary iced tea, and easily can pay via card. (Noticed menu varies from other franchises but I guess that is what makes each location unique)“

“PROS:Have really on tried the spicy beef noodle soup, bbq pork fried rice, duck fried rice, and spicy won tons. They all have been tasty or satisfactory. No complaints in the taste department from me.CONS:I used to eat here twice a week at least when they had the 10% off when ordering online, but since the removal, I have eaten there a few times since last year.The price is similar to restaurant food, so a bit expensive considering it is food court food. Maybe this is due to the addition of the "free" drink. Maybe it is now due to the cost of food.The "free" drink included with some of the items should be removed. One reason is because of the cup fee in Vancouver. The other is that I don't care much for the drinks. Choice would be nice and hopefully will reduce the price of the meal and reduce unnecessary waste.“

“This place for sure deserve another five star review, I found this place the other night with my wife, first of all staff a super friendly, we got free soup to begin with, follow with the chicken dish, fish dish and a pork dish. All are super tasty and well done never dry and overcooked like many others does. Dessert very good too not too sweet. I enjoy very much and I will come back again for sure. Next time I visit Vancouver.“

“Wanted to order the sundaeguk but they didn't have it when I went, so I ordered the seoleongtang instead. The soup was yummy and the rice was how I like it but I was not a big fan of the ggakduki, was a bit too fermented for my liking and seoleongtang and ggakduki is one of my fav pairings. Otherwise everything else was enjoyable and the staff was very friendly.“

“So far, this is where you’ll find the most beautiful presentation of seafood kare-kare! And it tastes as good as it looks!
I am very picky with Filipino dishes as my family knows how to cook and Pin-Pin did not disappoint.
Chicharon bulaklak was prepped and cooked perfectly, paired with all the vegetable dishes like laing and ginataang sitaw and kalabasa - yum!!!
To finish, they serve a family size halo that can serve up to 8 people.“

“I simply devoured the Hainan Chicken Rice, which was succulent and delicious with a generous dollop of minced ginger oil on top. Also polished off every last grain of the oily rice.
The spicy chicken rice was also well-executed, again with expertly prepared chicken and a decent heat level.
Finally, price points that don't make you recoil in terror.“
