“I had high hopes for this restaurant. Everyone has been talking about it!! It didn't disappoint in a lot of ways. Butter beef was delicious(amazing), beef luc lac was really good as well (but not amazing), two kind of dry noodle??(forgot the exact name but this was just okay to mediocre imo)
And people were going nuts over the wings but they were just okay. I forgot but had better wings(similar style too!!) In Ontario(I wanna say somewhere in marhkam)
I am tempted to try again few more times to explorer to see if there are other dishes that would amaze me. If I can find one more like that, definitely 5 stars.“

“We live in North Shore and are regulars at Wooden Fish and this is our first time at Pho and Roll. Very impressed with their food and atmosphere. More upscale than Wooden Fish but both are excellent. We were worried about parking but had no issues finding a spot right away on a side street (lots of parking on the side streets and parking lots as well). We will return.“

“It was open from 10am, and I often used it for breakfast.
It was great to be able to choose the amount of pho as there were 3 sizes!
The taste is delicious, and you can really taste the spices.
Manager? The lady was also very friendly and it was fun to talk to her every time?“

“We will miss your food! We came in for the closing day event, we have been coming here for years. The golden bowl, midnight bowl, crispy spring rolls, coconut shake and the peanut butter bars are our favorite! Thanks again for the great service and food!
We sure hope you come out with a cook book !“

“Came here on a whim, walking around looking for food. Saw a bunch of people here eating and the food looked good. They had a few vegan items so we gave it a try. Pho was wonderful, lots of veggies, fresh basil and bean sprouts for garnish. Lots of spices to add. This and a pot of tea and I walked out totally stuffed.“

“A wonderful hidden gem! Everything we've tried at Kim Son has been delicious & satisfying. Veggies are always fresh, generous helpings, so many great flavours in everything. Vegetarians note, they don't skimp on the tofu, which is fried to perfection! And they'll even do vegan pho broth if you want. Service is always friendly, relaxed, and helpful. If you're anywhere near City Square Mall and need a bite, go here!! You'll be happy you did. :)“

“Delicious food, amazing service. We all got some vermicelli, one with tofu and two with pork skewers and everything was perfect. Noodles cooked to perfection and the veggie spring rolls were crispy and so flavourful. The bubble tea is also worth it! Highly recommend.“

“Good pho! It's nothing fancy but very good. It feels more authentic. Fair portion, meats and noodles. You can customize your pho as well. I thought it was a good idea.
Some details too, that not all pho place have: little plate for the sauce, sugar (that goes well after you put the lemon), the boxes you pack for your spring rolls, with some little containers with the sauce.
Booster, highchair available. Good parking!“

“Haven’t been to this spot since 98’ and GOOD LORD it’s THE SPOT! Perfect broth, excellent brisket, spot on spring rolls, no annoying pop radio, and slightly less than average prices.
I will definitely be a regular. 10/10

“Super tasty thick soup satay beef noodle soup if you like this type of soup as it's not for everyone. Ample slices of beef, worth the price.
Parking: It's Main st. So expect to drive around at least once if you want rock star parking or just park wherever and walk a block.“

“I drove from UBC to try it, totally worth it. I ordered the Pho with rare beef, and it was fantastic. The broth is very flavorful without adding any hoisin sauce or sriracha. I felt guilty adding the little that I did. I think they make their own crushed chili flakes in house, because they elevated the pho perfectly. Their vietnamese coffee over ice was the best I've ever had. I'd consider this place a must go for locals or visitors. Chicken wings also to die for.“

“I had been going to their Kerrisdale location for years, and was so glad that they reopened. The new place looks fantastic, and the food is just as good. Their spring rolls are actually a must have, it's hard to find places that do them with rice paper and fried so well. Finally, their pho broth is one of the best I've had, and after trying other places, I always come back to them.“

“I’ve tried their Bun Bo Hue, Rare Beef Pho, and Pork Meatballs Baguette. The baguette was amazing, the meatballs were savory with authentic Vietnamese toppings and I love that they used Vietnamese Banh Mi. Bun Bo Hue was good but nothing out of this world, I still think you can get a more authentic taste elsewhere. I ordered their Rare Beef Pho through Doordash and it was tasty. However, the order wasn’t packed carefully so the soup leaked out. Overall, this is a decent place, they just need to improve on packing to-go orders tho.“

“My family enjoyed #7 (dry noodles), #5 and #6 (pho bowls), and I thoroughly enjoyed #39 (lemongrass chicken on rice). Food was served a little slowly and not all at the same time but that’s because the kitchen is literally run by one person (the wife, I believe) and the front of house is run by the husband. He was very friendly and welcoming. The only thing I did not like were the spring rolls. Overall would highly recommend to anyone craving authentic delicious Vietnamese food that comes in huge serving sizes. (The chicken is SUCCULENT!)“

“Everything’s spot on —- unless if you’re a clean freak like me lol but we’re here for the food right!!
Their chopsticks and cutlery are out in the open, not wrapped etc. At least they should point them down instead of up.
It’s northern style cuisine, a first for me though I can’t tell the difference. In terms of garnishes, they’re quite generous, so much basil and cilantro provided.
Steamed sprouts by request.
Cool tables, un-pho like so a welcome change. Got that wooden feel.
Free parking in the back, just a few spots.“

“Tiny dining room with equally small menu. The bun bo hue (noodles in spicy beef broth with many different cuts of beef and pork) was delicious! The cuts of meat were generous and premium, while the broth was amazing. The service was efficient and personal. Great experience!“

“Although this was not my first “Pho” experience this was my First time dining at this particular restaurant and let me tell you I will DEFINITELY be coming back. This was the absolute hands down best one I have ever been too. There spring rolls are PHENOMENAL and their beef ball soup had so many beef balls in it! WAY TO GO Le Petit Saigon!“

“I had an incredible meal at merci beaucoup cafe! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy on the outside while juicy on the inside—so flavorful and addictive. The spring rolls were fresh, with the right balance of crunch and tenderness, paired with a delicious dipping sauce.
For the main course, I tried the curry beef brisket with pho noodles, and it was absolutely fantastic. The beef was tender and the curry had just the right amount of richness and spice. I also had the special beef pho, and I loved how they allowed me to customize the soup base to be spicy. It was packed with flavor, and the broth was deep, aromatic, and just the right amount of heat—definitely one of the best pho bowls I’ve had in a while.
Overall, the service was friendly, and the food came out hot and fast. I’ll definitely be back for more of their flavorful dishes. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic, tasty Vietnamese food!“

“We went here on a whim as we were in the neighborhood and so glad we did! This place is a true hidden gem. We ordered the vermicelli with pork, spring rolls and vietnamese ham (?) as well as the pho with rare beef/ beef brisket/ beef balls. The portions for both were more than generous, the broth for the pho was complex and flavorful, and the vermicelli dish was simple yet delicious. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.“

“Visited on a weekend day and was pleasantly surprised by the relative vacancy. “Today, my friends and I were really pleased with my lemon grass chicken vermicelli, also the rolls are having. Only thing I wouldn’t order again, is the passion fruit soda, because it is so so and nothing like the picture shown. Service was efficient, hats off to the crew! The place itself is pretty much without any wow or decorum of any sorts… it still worth going to“

“A very famous French-Vietnamese restaurant in Yaletown. The overall atmosphere is very unique and different from ordinary Vietnamese restaurants.
The portions are sufficient and the price is not too high
Vietnamese bread: are they sold one by one, at least 3 pieces to order? It has the smell of pork liver, and the offal smell is obvious. I personally don’t like it very much.
Vietnamese Pho: There are small bowls and large bowls. The soup is very sweet and delicious. You can order other meals and have a small bowl of Pho per person. Overall, it is very good!
Roast duck breast: crispy on the outside and grilled to perfection! The duck meat is very juicy! The seasoning is also just right, not too salty! It is recommended to order this!“

“A Vietnamese restaurant located among the many Vietnamese restaurants on the block. Service is quick and straightforward and food comes to you in big portions and piping hot. We ordered the house special noodle soup, the grilled lemongrass pork vermicelli, and the sliced meat pho. All the foods were delicious, albeit a bit too salty for my taste. Portions were good for the price, around $18 for each dish. It was busy at 8 pm on a Saturday but tables turn quickly due to the fast service.“

“The soup base of their noodles is good, and the portion of each bowl of noodles is decent, I said that because some other Vietnam restaurant, small and large size, just the bowl is different. But the price surprisingly is acceptable along with others' dishes in the menu. The atmosphere of this restaurant is typical outdated decor. If you are on budget and want to eat Pho, I believe you can try this one.“

“We had a great meal here today! The service is very friendly, the furnishings and ambience are simple, but ok.

“Great menu selection! Only wish I could eat more than the vegetarian option as someone with a shellfish allergy -- not sure why the sauce can't be avoided
Dietary restrictions: All sandwiches other than the vegetarian and vegan options contained shellfish or anchovies in the sauce“

“The Pho is delicious, the broth is very good, portions are hearty. The grilled chicken vermicelli combo it also good. Salad rolls with prawns are good. Never had a bad meal, going here for years, very reliable. They try hard to prepare the food fast for customers.“
“Pro Tip!Bring your own container! Your car will thank you. They will weigh the container before adding the fish cakes.Bring cash they are $12/lbMakes a nice and easy dinner. I usually reheat it in water till it's puffy (to remove some of the oils and reduce some of the salt) and then top it on top of noodle soup. Delicious ? You can also reheat by pan frying it but I find it makes it even more salty.“
