“We had the BEST feed last night from Ongba. Coming home from our Fringe run we were too tired to cook - and boy am I glad. The portions were generous, the rolls on the Banh Mi were so fresh, loved all the pickled bits and curry mayo...the Prawn Salad rolls with dipping sauce were huge and tasty...it was exactly what we wanted. The guy on the phone made double sure he had our order correct which I appreicated. Such a cute place (with patio) but we got takeout so nobody had to watch us gobble it down like animals. “The food here is excellent! Linda (owner) is the sweetest & most kind hearted person. She & her husband who's a chef behind the scene runs this eatery. They take utmost care to all who comes hungry or not. I've known & followed her long time. Ever since the time she use to be at International Village mall food court in Chinatown location and now here in this City Centre mall. Every food & beverages she serves is made with love & care. I got to know her personally and she's an amazing person!
Wherever I'm cold & feeling sick she gives me the pho' noodles soup & she makes the hot lime tea which is instantly comforting! She's cares like a family to me. <3

“Wow! What a surprise! My girlfriend and I wondered over to this place after a massage, I was unsure at first due to the location. Once we ordered are food, I could tell the quality was top notch. This place is a hidden gem. I ordered the lemongrass chicken pho and my girlfriend got the beef stew. Who ever is in that kitchen is a true chef. This is the best pho I have ever had. The chicken came on the side and it was amazing. The beef pulled apart with the fork. Spices were rich and a perfect blend. Veggies were fresh, meat was top quality. Don’t miss out, get in there! I wish we weren’t in a rush. Pricing is perfect for the portion you get.“

“This time I ordered a chicken dish with rice, and it was pretty good. The price was reasonable and quite affordable. It’s more of a casual lunch spot nothing fancy or elegant, but the service was very good. They offer water or tea, which was a nice touch.

My girlfriend ordered a beef soup, and she thought it was good as well, but nothing particularly special. Overall, our experience wasn’t bad at all, but based on the dishes we chose, we probably wouldn’t come back. Maybe they have a hidden gem on the menu that we didn’t try.

Both dishes were generously portioned and full of vibrant Vietnamese flavours perfect for a cozy lunch or dinner. 
The hand cut Taro chips were a delightful starter perfectly crispy with a hint of earthiness, and paired wonderfully with the paprika garlic tofu dip. They were so good they almost stole the show before the main course even arrived!

“A must try Vietnamese restaurant in the area! Lovely place owned by very kind people. We were looking for interesting selections of Vietnamese food that is not just Pho, and the food we had here went above and beyond our expectations. Crab fried rice was surprisingly good and the goat curry came in a big pot with a candle warmer, and kept the nice warm coconut curry flavour for longer. I was never a fan of goat curry before this, but if every goat curry is cooked this way, I will be able to eat. Wish I have taken more pictures. All the drinks and plates were nicely presented and overall it was nice and pleasant experience. Will definitely visit again.“

“This is my favourite Vietnamese spot in the city. I frequent the place and it's 100% of the time the best broth and sauce, the freshest ingredients, and perfectly cooked rice and noodles. Good is noticeably higher quality than any other spot I've tried it town (and I've tried many). Family owned spot and no fail consistent quality. I've done dine-in, take-out, and delivery from here and it's always good.“

“Linh Café is a gem for French-Vietnamese fusion, but for me, the absolute highlight was the pho. What sets it apart is their house-made chili sauce; it adds a delicious, spicy kick that elevates the broth to another level. I honestly wish I could buy a jar of that sauce to take home!

The adventurous side of the menu is also great—the frog legs and chicken liver are unique and flavorful, and they give you bread to soak up every drop of the incredible sauces.

The only downside to my recent visit was the beer pour. I was a bit disappointed to see that about a quarter of the glass was empty when it arrived (see photo). While the food is 5-star quality, the drink service missed the mark this time. Still worth a visit for the cuisine!“

“I started eating here since the pandemic. It was a hard time for all and for me I was alone. Then I had a spicy noodle soup bowl and immediately I love this restaurant. I kept returning occasionally for roughly 6 years. This place is definitely a good restaurant. It has the authentic family vibe that you are looking for. It's not fancy or exotic, but the simplicity and casual family friendly business is what I enjoyed. Highly recommended.“

“My Vietnamese friends told me this is a rare soup and hard to find. The fish cakes were very good and I’m glad they sliced them thin. I don’t know how I feel about dill in Vietnamese soup. The broth was a tad on the sweeter side but this is my first time trying it so I don’t know it’s authentically supposed to be the sweet. You can taste the fish/shrimp paste as a main flavor component.“

“Five stars and my new favorite pho spot! As someone who loves pho and grew up with my mom's amazing cooking, Pho Zen has exceeded all my expectations. I've now tried the special spicy pho, and it was absolutely fantastic. The broth had incredible depth and flavor. I've also had their rice dish with pork and chicken, and seriously, the rice itself was so flavourful on its own. The banh mi was so good too. I highly recommend this place. Everything I've tried has been delicious. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!“

The chicken platter for 2 (or three) is such a celebration of all things chicken! Every item great and distinct. There was so much meat in the salad that I kind of yearned for more vegetables! “Another Kingsway classic. I use to drive all the way here from North Burnaby late nights to come eat the Pho Ga. ( big chunks of free range chicken )They open quite late. Only east van still has late Pho joints. Came back here for the first time after 2 yrs of traveling abroad. Same taste and flavours. Seems like they cut back a little on the portion size but shrinkflation is real in Vancouver! They have been feeding the community for a while now and the tables were all full when we visited on a weekend. We will be back soon whenever we are in the area“
