Phnom Penh Restaurant Reviews
I can’t recall how many times we’ve been here. We’d always take visiting guests over. It’s been a while since we’ve been here (a year or so ago maybe).
Thought we won’t have to wait by getting there earlier at an odd hour (got waitlisted at 5:13pm). But my husband and I didn’t have to wait for so long. Our table was ready by 5:41pm. Those who came after us were informed waiting could take about an hour or so.

The butter beef is a must try! It came out instantly and was definitely worth the trip. The chili sauce paired with white rice perfected this dish.
The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, so we had to wait quite a while, but it was definitely worth the wait because everything was delicious! I highly recommend the beef carpaccio, chicken wings, morning glory, and fried squid.

Phnom Penh Restaurant is a popular spot serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Expect a wait, even at off-peak times, but it’s worth it for dishes like phenomenal marinated butter beef, delicious chicken wings, and amazing pho. The homey atmosphere and good food quality make it a must-try, though visitors should be prepared for a line or consider reserving a table in advance. The restaurant has a lively, family-style vibe with plenty of seating, so arriving before opening can help secure a table. Service is quick once inside, with dishes arriving within minutes of ordering, even when busy. Many dishes are flavorful and well-prepared, with staff offering tips on how to enjoy certain meals. The food, including the stew beef, Vietnam crepe, beef luc luc, and fried shrimp, remains consistently good over the years. The deep-fried salt and pepper chicken wings are highly praised and are considered otherworldly. Overall, Phnom Penh Restaurant provides an excellent experience with tasty food that keeps guests coming back for more.
