“I had such a great experience at Pressato Sandwich Bar! The sandwiches are incredibly fresh and full of flavor, definitely some of the best European style sandwiches I've had in Vancouver. You can really tell they use quality ingredients, and every bite tastes authentic.
I also tried their coffee, and it paired perfectly with the sandwich. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.
A special thanks to Stephan, who was so kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to explain the menu and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

“I came during my lunch break to try it and ordered a sandwich along with a coffee. The sandwich was tasty, and it was clear the ingredients were fresh, but honestly it didn’t exceed my expectations by much. For the price, I was expecting a more filling portion. The place is small but has a cozy atmosphere, although it can be a bit difficult to find a seat. The service started off quickly but slowed down as it got busier. In terms of value for money, I found it a bit expensive. On the plus side, there are fresh ingredients and unique flavours. On the downside, the portion-to-price balance.“

Today I visited Saiko Sushi, one of Vancouver’s highly rated sushi destinations, and the quality was absolutely impressive.

My favorites:

🍣 Salmon Belly
🐟 Toro
💛 Hamachi

The chef’s delicate cuts really highlighted the freshness and texture of each ingredient.

But the biggest surprise was the Saba 🤯

It was topped with an umami-packed seaweed that perfectly balanced the flavor of the fish. Complex, elegant, and incredibly delicious.

If you’re a sushi lover, this place deserves a spot on your Vancouver food list.

“Totally random find. I hadn't even heard of Firehouse Subs until I saw a commercial a couple of weeks ago for their steak & cheese sub which looked so much better than its competitors that it seemed TGTBT. Obviously, only one way to find out.

Long story short...
My 20 minute drive to conduct this experiment turned out to be totally worthwhile. Hard to explain why, but it tastes more like home cooking than a commercially made sub. All the ingredients were fresh, plus the steak was savoury and delicious.
If you like sub sandwiches, hard to imagine you won't be pleased with this establishment's offerings.“

“Truly one of the gems of Vancouver. I work a few doors down and genuinely crave a sandwich from Kathy every day. When I give into that craving, it is the best experience. She is so friendly, fast, and makes the best sandwich in the world. Highly recommend a chicken melt with everything on it or a breakfast sandwich, but you really can’t go wrong. Naman absolutely made my day! He was incredibly friendly, professional, and quick all while making one of the best subs I’ve had in a long time.
