Came here for the first time to try it out and was delighted by the experience. Staff were super friendly and helped explain how the sandwiches were created and prepared. Decided to order the steak sub which is available only on the weekends and I loved it.

It had a very tasty pesto and garlic sauce and the flank steak was super tender. They sous vied the steak so it wasn’t like stringy like other places, instead it was super tender and delicious. Loved the portions, the sandwich was really filling and the pricing isn’t too bad either! Glad to have found out this place is affiliated with Downlow chicken around the corner.

Will come back again, excellent sandwiches at this sub shop.

“Cafe location of the Namì food truck, located in the lobby of the HSBC building. There are a few tables set up where you can enjoy your food, and you can also take in the art exhibition and architecture.
They have an expanded menu from what the food truck offers: banh mi and rice bowls starting at 11, pressed banh mi, some pastries, and drinks all day. The drinks are great - the coffee and tea are serious and the unique flavours are fun. Unfortunately no decaf espresso drinks. The tofu banh mi was excellent, one of the best I’ve had (no crumbly bread), and the kaya pressed banh mi was simple but offered the perfect harmony of flavours and the unique sensory experience of the warm, toasted bread and kaya spread melding with the cool butter.
The staff is very nice. Banh mi are made to order and the drinks can be complicated depending on what you order, so service isn’t lightning fast, but it’s still suitable for a quick bite.“

“Decided to try this place for lunch. I had the kale Caesar salad. It was really good. The dressing amount was perfect.

I also tried the Mac and cheese pulled pork. It was good. Just really heavy (as expected). I likely will not have it again and stick to their more healthier sandwiches… the chicken one.

Overall the food was good. The only negative is that they do not wear gloves when preparing the food and I did not see the employee wash her hands right before preparing my sandwhich. As humans we have a tendency to touch different areas of our faces regularly so that kinda grossed me out as I don’t know where her hands have been. And yes, I’m aware it’s the same at some restaurants. I guess I just prefer not to see it so I don’t think about it.“

“Love this place! Used to work right across the street from where they parked and went there out of curiosity one day. Very happy I did. I don't work near downtown Vancouver any longer but I make sure to visit them if I do happen to go that way. I'm surprised she was working alone and on a Saturday night of all nights. I feel like this location as well needs another coworker as the area is not only busy but very sketchy.Again, no judgment on the employee, she was great and so was the food.“

“There was only one guy working when we went and had 2 people ahead of us. We weren't starving so it was fine to be a little slow. When it was our turn to be served, the guy was super friendly and didn't look miserable like a lot of subway workers. He had a great smile the whole time and made nice light conversation. “This subway has always done a great job on making my cold cut subs which is the only sub i will order and i stopped here a couple times while attending the Anirevo convention as it's really close by but they seem to be short staffed on Saturday nights as there was only one employee working after 9pm on a Saturday night. So they should hire more night staff. And the only employee that was working started making someone's else's sub when I just wanted to pay right away during my second visit. Other than that and the increased wait everything about my sub was perfect.“
