“On our journey driving from Alaska to Arizona, my husband and I made it a priority to stop at The Original Lunch Doctor in Pitt Meadows, BC for lunch. Why? Because my grandmother, Elsie Hatlen, is the founder of this local legacy and amazing sandwich shop! I haven't been here in at least 30 years (I was somewhere between 7 and 10 years old) when Grandma let me help in the back kitchen. The giant mixer was my favorite - and apparently it's still there! It was really neat to be back in Grandma's old shop. We missed the current owner today but visited with all the ladies there, left an original "The Original Lunch Doctor" jar opener for them (the info is even still the same), enjoyed a *fabulous* lunch, and watched them totally sell out - at one point there was a line out the door! It warms my heart how much folks love this place still. Grandma Elsie started something amazing that still lives on... as does she! Still zesty and kind as always, but in Texas instead of Canada. Thank you so much for the hospitality and full bellies! ❤️ 10,000 out of 5 stars, highly recommend!“

“This is the best subway because it's a quiet one but also the workers are very aligned with not only each other with customers too. I think it was nikita and the other amazing woman around 1030 on Sunday night. They make the sandwiches for you like how they would eat then. It's just a nice gesture. She had a trainee badge on and a very impatient and rude customer was in front of me and had nothing but criticism and a tone so harsh it would fluster anyone. They have 8 different Bahn Mi sandwiches to choose from and they also sell Vietnamese deli items and desserts.

I tried the Special Sub and it had different cuts of
deli ham, pickled carrots/radish, cilantro, cucumber, jalapeños. Bread was good as it came
out warm and crispy. Can’t go wrong when it was $5.80 after tax.
