Chau Cafe Reviews
Always amazing food!
Chau Cafe has been a popular vegetarian spot in my neighbourhood for years, and I can't believe I forgot about it. I hadn't been back in a long time, so I decided to stop by yesterday.
The first thing I noticed was how clean and organized the restaurant is. They have a self-serve station stocked with water, utensils, napkins, and takeout containers. This is such a thoughtful touch and makes it so convenient.

Haven’t been back here since before the renovations. Glad to see many of our favourite dishes like the Golden temple soup still on the menu! As a vegan, I’m glad to see a variety of options on the menu. I ordered the Tropical rainstorm bowl. Fresh, bright, and delicious. 🥗 Beautiful and laid back place. Staff were helpful, friendly and prompt with their service.

Chau Cafe is a popular vegetarian spot that has been a favourite restaurant for over a decade. The restaurant is clean and organized, with a self-serve station stocked with water, utensils, napkins, and takeout containers. The staff are warm, attentive, friendly, and prompt with their service. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly, showing clear care and passion for the business.
The menu offers a variety of options for vegans and includes many gluten free options. Dishes include the Namaste Fresh Rolls, which were absolutely incredible with perfect peanut sauce, and the Rickshaw Bowl, packed with flavour. The famous Golden Temple Soup with noodles and organic tofu has a rich, comforting curry broth full of flavour, and the noodles have the perfect texture. The Sunrise Fresh Rolls are delicious, and the Tropical Rainstorm Bowl is fresh, bright, and vibrant. Other menu items include Taro Chips with paprika garlic dip, pho, and the Rickshaw Bowl. For drinks, the signature coconut shake did not disappoint, and the hojicha latte and Vietnamese coffee are very well made. For dessert, the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar and non dairy Pandan Leaf Ice Cream are amazing. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
