“#kingcrabfeast? upscale, live fish tanks, street parking, free parkade, excellent service."Not only is it one of the recommended restaurants by Michelin Guide Vancouver, Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is also the winner of Vancouver’s Chinese Restaurant Awards in the Best Dim Sum and Best Cantonese categories in 2022. With such a profile, I had very high expectations, and Dynasty totally delivered"“

“If you are craving for dim sum but hate the crowd, you must check out 852 Kitchen. The tastes were definitely authentic and portion sizes were generous. The black truffle siu mai and shrimp dumplings had plenty of filling and were seasoned wonderfully. The HK style beef balls were bouncy and velvety smooth on the palate and the accompanying water chestnuts and cilantro accenting the meatiness to another level. We also had a great time baking the pineapple buns. From proofing to baking, it was exhilarating to watch the dough rise and their instructions were super easy to follow. Definitely the perfect breakfast item.“
“Didn't have my hopes up. I'm a highly skeptical eater at joints like this. I been around a lot of Cantonese food both good and bad. But dang, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was neither too greasy nor salty. We had a reasonably sized party so we were able to sample a wide variety of dishes from plainer veggies, soups and stronger meat dishes. Everyone always has their favourites, but each dish was done quite well. No complaints at all.Service was on par for these kind of restaurants ... so no, probably do not expect any Michelin stars here.Would recommend and I definitely wouldn't mind coming back.“
“Best vegetarian dim sum in Vancouver on Kingsway! All the food is great and so is the service! I must say that I prefer going on a week day rather than the weekend as there's usually a line up on the weekendVegetarian options: All vegetarian!!!“
“Really great Cantonese food and the staff was very helpful walking us through some of the menu we weren’t familiar with. Definitely exceeded my expectations and was as good, if not better than some places I’ve been in NYC and San Fran. Sticky fried rice w/ chicken was the star of the evening.“
“The Boss Restaurant in Vancouver's Chinatown is a delightful find, perfectly capturing the essence of a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant. Its convenient location is just the start. The bakery section offers an array of tempting Hong Kong-style cakes and pastries that are a real treat. The menu features delicious options like savory fried noodles, decadent French toasts, and the excellent Hong Kong-style coffee is a must-try. Don't miss out on their BBQ buns, which are simply divine. It's a wonderful spot to experience authentic Hong Kong cuisine and hospitality right in the heart of Vancouver.“
“Hong Kong style restaurant in Chinatown. Food is good but not exceptional. Friendly service. It is on the second floor and one could easily miss it.The bakery has good selection of pastries, bread and dessert. All Hong Kong style, it may not be for everyone.“
“Very decent Chinese restaurant with great dim sum portion is good price is good. Location is very convenient and servers are very friendly and attentive.Parking spot is super tight and it’s a bit confusing. If you can park at the restaurant designated parking stall then you don’t have to register for parking and not necessary to get the parking ticket from the machineor else you can park at TNT stall, get a parking ticket and make a purchase at TNT to get 1.5 hour free parkingOr else public parking is $3 per hourParking: The restaurant only have limited designated parking spotif you park at the designated pocket spot, then you don’t have to get a parking ticket from the machine“
“Everything is perfect in this place, the food is very delicious and finely prepared, they serve Jazmin tea in a beautifully organized rounded table, we end up taking the rest to go, we just couldn't let it behind. My favourite was the tendon and the fried squid.“
“It's a HK cafe style restaurant, menu is extensive, drink menu is typical , taste is very good to excellent, traditional HK taste which you've missed , service is excellent , extra parking is at the back of the restaurant, I don't think msg added in all dishes , highly recommended.“
“It's a topical Chinese dim sum restaurant, I love the food, it truly tastes like when you're in south China. The atmosphere is like when you're in China too. That's the only reason keeping me coming back and back again. Recommended.“
“Spacious restaurant plenty of seating but would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We had their soy sauce black cod, soy sauce marinated chicken. honey garlic ribs, as well as a vegetable dish. Food were always great and there is also underground parking around the back.“
“Awesome dim sum. Super tasty and traditional.Chive and shrimp dumplings were so good. Beef omassum was like tripe and surprisingly VERY tasty. Great bbq pork buns too!Veg shanghai buns were the one that was only ok.Desert: green tea sesame buns, and mango pudding were both great.“
“Clean place. Welcoming and accommodating waitresses. Food is delicious. Wheelchair accessible but not blind people braille chart menu yet. Recommended.Vegetarian options: There's Buddha Feast platter.Plain congéParking: City paid parking is difficult to find near by the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately there are many careless delivery people on the sidewalk riding electric bikes and scooters“
“Located just outside of downtown and east of Chinatown on Hastings, stopped in to try their dim sum. Traditional push carts and or off menu is offered, dim sum items were hot and tasty. The restaurant itself is quite large and tables well spaced out, came in on a Sunday and the place was busy but we got a table within minutes. Prices were a bit higher than maybe some of the other dim sum restaurants in East Vancouver and there's no discount. Lunch for two, 4 items and tea came to approximately $50 including tax. I will come back and try dinner, I did read somewheres that the restaurant's future was on borrowed time as the site is going to be redeveloped for affordable rental housing.“
“Delicious authentic HK style Chinese food in a hole in the wall like neighbourhood restaurant. The pork jowl was delicious, sweet, tender, and snappy. The honey garlic spareribs were also the perfect blend of sweet and savoury. The crispy chicken was very juicy and even the white meat part was tender and juicy which was a pleasant surprise. The Lobster and bitter melon with beef were all done well. The soup was good too and it came with a mung bean sweet soup for dessert. The only downside is the food comes extremely slowly when the restaurant is very busy so you may wait over 30 minutes before your first dish arrives and the time between dishes being served is also long.“
“We were visiting from Toronto and wanted to try fresh seafood cooked in a Chinese way. We ordered the king crab menu. The steamed crab was amazing. We also loved the steamed egg with crab roe and the sweet and sour pork chop. The servers were friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful time at this restaurant with my family. Will definitely come again next time!“
“We had stopped through Vancouver on our way to Whistler and made a reservation here. It was a bit challenging for 8 people to reserve from the states as they don't have an online form or email. I had to get my Canadian cousin to help me book it! There is a garage attached so they validate parking as long as you have the license plate. This is a more high end dim sum restaurant that impressed my party as you don't see this often in Austin. But this was very reminiscent of places I've been to in Toronto. We had ordered a lot of food and learned very quickly their dim sum portions are much larger than most. We had a lot of leftovers but everything tastes great and fresh. I loved their siu mai and the BBQ pork buns. They also have a fried ha gow which was new for me. We liked this place so much we came back a second time after our Whistler days. We knew how to order less this time around, but we did also order a spicy crab dish which they showed us the crab before it's cooked. Very flavorful and fresh! Service was not bad. It was nicer the first time around. They didn't seem as attentive the second time and we had a language barrier issue too with our waiter. Both times they forgot something we ordered, so just pay attention to the receipt because they cross items out as they are delivered.“
“From the outside, Happy Family seems like an unassuming restaurant, but stepping inside you'll come across a hidden gem of southern chinese cuisine. The waitresses that greeted us were very friendly, and accomodating to us. Even though it's my parents 3rd time here, they regarded them as regulars and treated us as honoured guests rather than customers. We ordered their specialty dishes and they were all quite good. The chicken was very chrispy and you get an explosion of flavour biting into it. The egg yolk really adds to the umami of the shrimp, and the eel rice has a generous amount of eel. Make sure to get the sticky rice at the bottom of the clay pot!“
“Enjoyed Alaska king crab dinner with friends. Less than $500 total. Enjoyed legs, noodles rice dishes. Also free range chicken and veggies. Also had chicken feet and sea cucumber. Red bean soup and osthamus jelly for dessert. Parking in front.“
“We went to this restaurant for a Chinese New year dinner. The food is typical Cantonese food, tastes like childhood memories. Lots of people buy BBQ take outs from here. The sit down area is spacious enough for small gatherings. The price is reasonable. The taste is good and can improve a little bit more. The servers there are good, easy to talk to and very friendly. I would visit again.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and booster seats.“
“Hong Kong style cafe in a very busy mall in VancouverIt’s my first time here and I think it’s affiliate with Amigo restaurant in Richmond as menu and taste are similiarLunch set prices are pretty good with soup , toast , main dish + drinksAs I on low carb diet it cost $6 additional to substitute rice with stir fry veggieSteak was good tender and juicyMilk tea rich in flavorService was average always interesting to run into server with attitude, but still very politeThere are 2 hours free parking and the parking lot was super super busyParking: Free parking lot but the lot was really busy2 hours free parking“
“Was downtown for an event and wanted to try this restaurant out.Started with an appetizer of Jellyfish in sesame sauce. Amazing ? and was quite a large dish. Then ordered the Seafood Chow mein. The noodles were nice and crispy but the seafood was lacking. Disappointed as this dish was over priced for what you got.The main dish was the Lobster special with eggplant and rice cake in premium soy sauce. Yum! ? This was the highlight of the dinner. Awesome ?.I must also mention that the service was 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Very attentive and was extremely satisfied.“
“Always busy here, lineup out and around the dooreach time I try to stop in even on rainy days... today I made it, I waited..well worth itQuite tasty and prices are comparable. Don't expect whatever you expect about customer service, just point or communicate what you want and need and you shall receive, pay and get out..you'll be happy with the flavours“
“It's the express version of Hon's which I grew up on. The food is delish and the menu fits the bill for a quick in-and-out.I am there at least once a month, if not more often and it never disappoints.Their strength is the soups, says my heart.“
“We visited the Chinatown BBQ restaurant during our trip to Vancouver and my oh my!! The food was delicious! We got the 2 meat combo with rice and the fried rice. The roasted pork could very well be one of the tastiest I’ve ever consumed! A must visit when you are in Vancouver.“
