Really crispy chicken and not too oily. I go when I need a recipe boost without putting in all the effort.
Excellent food
The fried chicken is really good and juicy. The curry on the other hand, is watery and the taste is quite diluted. Not sure if it’s an intentional choice, but I would only recommend the chicken.

Mogu Fried Chicken is a great restaurant in Vancouver known for their phenomenal house special fried chicken. The staff are friendly, and the portions are generous. They offer delicious dishes, with the regular fried chicken being a favorite among customers for being crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The menu clearly marks vegetarian options, and the salad that comes with the chicken and rice bowl is well seasoned. The kale salad, lightly seasoned with sesame dressing, is delicious and worth ordering on its own or with teishoku. The rice is cooked to perfection, just as good as what you’d find in Japan, and the karage is flavorful with a good marinade and coating. The chicken has a unique and incredible crust, like kettle chips that gives way to a tempura finish. Seating arrangements are limited, so best to keep groups small or consider takeout. Japanese beer options complement the meal well, and service is always friendly.
