Takara Sushi Reviews
Tommy. Your efforts are not without notice. We came in as strangers but were treated like kinfolk. Atmosphere was great and the service was quick dispite how popular and packed your establishment was. I can tell, sitting at the bar watching you prep that you know what you are doing. You are dedicated to the craft and you are passionate in what you do. That is something very refreshing to see in a sushi landscape that has been commercialized and commoditized.

Good food. A few parking spots at the back. Need to go early if you want parking. I would try street parking first.
Great experience for me and my friend. Restaurant owner is friendly and always there. A+

Takara Sushi offers fresh, high-quality fish and a clean, Japanese-style decor. Their oyster motoyaki is a highlight, along with good rolls. The restaurant features a standard aesthetic and a very clean environment. Staff are polite and welcoming, with the sushi chef greeting customers upon arrival. The menu has a wide selection, ensuring there are many options for diners. The food is often better when eaten in-house, with dishes like miso soup, Atlantic roll, double tuna roll, chicken teriyaki donburi, tempura udon, and assorted nigiri. The fish is light and fresh, and the rolls are well-balanced, not too rice-heavy.
The sushi and scallop motoyaki are on par with most other sushi restaurants around. The gyu don lacked flavor. Customers are happy to be seated quickly, but the service can be slow even when the restaurant is half empty. The coconut mango dessert is a hit. Staff are always super nice, and the servers are attentive and friendly. The sushi chefs, Tommy and Rick, keep the quality consistent. The oyster motoyakis are a must-try, and the salmon belly Aburi melts in your mouth. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made, whether dining in or getting takeout. The owner, Tommy, is passionate about quality and customer care, ensuring a top-notch experience.
