“Updated review: I went here a few weeks ago for brunch. I was thoroughly impressed with the food and ambience, but was disappointed with the lack of service that I expected from a fine dining restaurant. I posted my original review with my experience, and management took the initiative to invite me back. My second visit met all my expectations. From the beginning to the end of our visit, all staff we interacted with were welcoming, accomodating, and attentive. I truly appreciate the improvements I observed in comparison to my previous visit. Again, food was amazing and the ambiance was great. A special thank you to our server, Jackie, for her impeccable service, and to management for their kind invitation.“

The tasting menu was absolutely extraordinary—each dish was beautifully crafted, delicious, and presented like a work of art. Every bite felt like a new discovery, and I could truly taste the care and creativity in every course. It was, without a doubt, the best meal I’ve had in Vancouver.

“We recently celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with an amazing dinner at Nightingale! There were 12 of us and had a family style dinner, which every plate that came out was amazing. I wish I lived in Vancouver because I would frequent Nightingale weekly. Service was prompt and they were consistently keeping the drinks flowing.“

“The Mackenzie Room is a must. Our bartender/sever Logan was so awesome and knowledgable. We did the tasting menu for 2 with red wine and added an extra dessert which they put on the house because we said we were celebrating. It's a place you could hang your hat - and we did. “Every time I come here, my experience gets better and better. I’ve been here for lunch, dinner, and brunch. The prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the ambience is next level. The service is great too! Today, I went for brunch, which was really easy to book via OpenTable. I had the traditional Benny, which was delicious, and I tried my friends’ dishes as well – they were equally amazing. Highly recommend! It’s the perfect place to bring people visiting town.

Update: had a pretty disappointing experience the last time I went. Service was insanely slow. At some point I also asked for cream and sugar that never came, reminded him, it still never came and by the end of it, I had already finished my coffee.“

“Went here for a friend’s birthday dinner. Amazing omakase experience. Our server was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had. Each dish was unique and delicious. My favorite has to be the turnip soup with saba fish oil. The vibe was cozy and intimate. It was awesome being so close to the chef at work.“

“Oh my god! I loved all the dishes we ordered! Each dish has its own character and was tasty!! Kale salad was the best salad I’ve ever had! Duck breast had smokey maple taste and it was so soft! And mushroom was crispy and had a little bit of saltiness! Our server was friendly and nice and gave us a great recommendation! I will 1000% visit again if I ever go to Vancouver again! “Absolutely blown away by the seven course tasting menu. Surprised my boyfriend with a birthday meal here and the service was simply superb. Attentive and great pacing. Every dish was flavourful and spot on, and we loved learning more about each dish, the technique used and its history.
- bread course - so crispy and buttery. The cheese spread was amazing.
- chutoro - perfect one bite, the fish was so fresh and soft.
- baked oyster - wow, that sauce. So rich and packed with umami.
- octopus - cooked perfectly. Loved the crispy jalapeño on top.
- scallop - a perfect autumn dish. The lentil ragout was so rich and comforting and the crispy pork was a great touch.
- beef tenderloin - pleasantly surprised by the broccoli purée. I also loved the bone marrow sauce. Beef was cooked perfectly.
- sorbet - great palate cleanser. Loved the touch of grape.
- chocolate tart - so rich so beautiful. Great tart shell but with a rich gooey center.
- shortbread - wow I am obsessed. What a way to end the meal. Perfect chocolate matching the restaurants tiles, caramel center, rich buttery shortbread.

Overall amazing meal. Can’t wait to come back.“

“They treated us like royalty, when I made the reservation I had said it was my wife and I's wedding anniversary and as soon as we arrived they were on top of it, free champagne and very capable and intuitive service. Very friendly and outgoing but not smothering or annoying. They were there when needed but gone when they were not so that I could enjoy a private, romantic evening with the love of my life, the food was delicious and the drinks were perfect , all in all it was a wonderful and memorable night and I would recommend to anyone looking for a top of the line dining experience when it comes to not only grade "A" cuisine ,but service second to none that I have had the pleasure of receiving thus far! We found this restaurant on google during the eras tour weekend and saw that it had good views. At first we were skeptical because it was in a hotel but thankfully we stayed because it was one of the best dining experiences.

We wanted some drinks and appetizers and ended up getting one of their boards. 100% recommend!!! Everything was so so so good and I would def come back again.

One of the best espresso martinis, speciality cocktail, and manhattans we’ve had in a long time. The bartender was very friendly and knew what he was doing.“

Our waiter, Matt, was exceptional--attentive, on top of things, and never made me feel I was bothering him. In fact, the entire team serving our group were phenomenal, accommodating, and truly worked as a team.

My steak and even my fried were cooked to perfection.

Truly a wonderful lunch and probably my fave CC staff out of all the locations thus far.“

“Brooke really attended to us well. She came over multiple times to see how we were which we really appreciated. She even poured our wine for us which was very thoughtful. And she was engaged with the conversation when we told her that my partner and I got engaged. Amazing service from Brooke which made our night more memorable.

“Highly recommend the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel. The reception desk went out of their way to help us. The food was delicious and our room was quiet and comfortable. The harbor views are spectacular!We were also located right at the cruise terminal. We will only stay at the Pan Pacific when in Vancouver.“

“Date night with the wife was long overdue. The atmosphere was nice with overhead heaters and dim lights in the background. Service was flawed due to seating position *booth behind plants* The food was great, fresh and well seasoned. The front of house was great with only a 10 minute wait, service was saved by an Earls client service manager named Cai as he helped us thought out the night.
Ordered a beer and shared the Spicy Tuna Tacos, 1/2 dozen oysters and 6oz steak in ponzu sauce with aburi salmon sushi. I ordered the 9oz sirloin with garlic mash and seasoned vegetables. My wife ordered the Oven Roasted Salmon with feta caper aioli.
15 minutes in, the oysters and tuna tacos arrive. 10 minutes later I'm wondering about my drink. Somehow my drink was never ran though. After receiving my beer the first sip and touch of the glass was warm. I waited for our waitress with no luck, 5 minutes pass, I ask another waitress about the warm beer, she said it's because the glass just came out of the wash. The client service manager Cai was quick to replace it with a cold one. 35 mins into the dinner our waitress tells us that they ran out of the Wagyu Aburi sushi. We decided on the Salmon Aburi. Half way through dinner our entrées arrive and I'm looking around for the waitress for a refill. Nearing the end of my meal she finally comes to and I end the night with an Old Fashioned. Overall I would dine at this location again, I would have ordered more drinks if service was more attentive. Thank you to client service management as they made tonight's dinner enjoyable.“

“Surprised at all the low ratings. You aren’t going to McDonald’s expecting a filet mignon are you?This is greasy chinese food. The perfect lunch, especially if you have a napping space. Eat and enjoy. You would be hard pressed to find a restaurant of this quality and value across the continent. The Wok Hei on the rice noodles esp is kind of strong.“

Didn’t try the coffee (which I regret) but my friend had English tea and it was great!
I liked the food but didn’t love it, need more spices from myside to hit that sweet spot.

Loved the view and it has great atmosphere, very relaxing place and would visit it again.

Also, use the front door entrance of the club, it also leads to the restaurant, don’t need to go around for the stairs entrance.“
