“We had amazing service tonight! There was a minor issue with our food, but when it was brought to the manager’s attention, she handled it with such professionalism. She was incredibly approachable, made us feel completely comfortable, and went above and beyond to make things right. It was truly a 10/10 experience!

Unfortunately, we didn’t catch her name, but she was wearing a pink/beige dress and was pregnant. She was absolutely on fire tonight!

“We came for a good bye dinner with our team. Our company closed and Glowbal was selected by numerous recommendations from our other colleagues. It was an amazing atmosphere and definitely super-tasty food. When the time for dessert came, our beautiful waitresses came with our ordered sweet cake with “Happy Unemployment “ writing on the plate. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us but our mood instantly switched to laughter and we almost forgot the cause of our gathering“

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

“What an AMAZING restaurant. We chose the chef’s selection which offered us a 6 course meal and a selection of the restaurant favourites. Every plate of exceptional!!! One of the best meals we have ever had!! The service was fantastic also. Our waitress was attentive and extremely helpful. We informed them that we were celebrating our anniversary via their email and a lovely hand written card was awaiting us at our arrival. “Over many years of meals and events, I recently discovered Hawksworth's Cocktail Hour in its cozy lounge. Every seat in the room is a comfy one, though I favour saddling up to the bar. You will always find a cocktail or wine to your liking. We usually order near everything from the food menu. Sometimes wagyu, currently prosciutto, always oysters. Main reason I keep coming back is the people. Service in this space never disappoints. I have favourites, of course. You know who you are...“

“For your adventure at the suspension bridge to become complete, you should have something to eat at this cliff-top restaurant. Inside is well decorated, and the outside sitting area is lovely. Chris, who helped us with our meal and drinks, was amazing. Lovely wheat beer from a local brewery and great buffalo chicken wings. Definitely worth visiting again!“

“On August 26, 2026 my sister, cousin, and I had the pleasure having Azra as our server for dinner. From the moment we met her, we were blown away by her kindness, sense of humor, and her genuine candor.

Throughout the evening, Azra went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. She kept checking in on us and noticed that we hadn’t immediately started eating our food because we were deep in conversation and dealing with some personal things.

She told us to make us feel better that she was going to buy us dessert! Hearing that made us all feel so deeply touched - never have we ever experienced such a generous act of kindness from a server or at a restaurant before.

To our surprise, she came back with not one but TWO desserts for the three of us! That seriously made our night and will be a gesture we will never forget.

Thank you, Azra for being the angel you are and for going the extra mile simply because you saw that three people were having a hard night and wanted to make it a little better. Your kindness meant more to us than you probably realize.

“I’m from out of town I have always wanted to go for the past few years. I was here for a day alone, and they were quickly able to accommodate me at the bar and offered me the full menu. Even better was happy hour, great price on food and drinks. Well worth it, and I look forward to coming back and having a nice sitdown meal. This restaurant (diner style) is rich in history, decorative, and has great service. “My sons took me here for Father’s Day as my wife was working and the weekend schedule was otherwise full. Originally we tried to go to a smaller place I’d been to before but they were really busy and you needed to have a reservation.

Brown’s had been open 1/2 hour so I felt it was big enough that they would have space on Father’s Day as we had done something similar on Mother’s Day in the past.

We were seated inside and they had some giant TVs on with some sports on that day.

Our older son had the Strawberries & Cream French Toast made using brioche bread with strawberries, and fresh whipped mascarpone cream. He was in heaven!

Our younger son had the Bacon Eggs Benedict as he loves a good Benny for brunch! The poached eggs were cooked to perfection!

I ordered the Angus Beef Hash with tender beef, poached eggs, crispy potatoes, corn, caramelized shallots, roasted peppers, hollandaise sauce and think cut toast. It was incredibly delicious!

“Salmon n’ Bannock On the Fly is my go-to lunch place when I’m flying internationally, it’s by far the best airport food I’ve had. The salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and while I love my own bannock, theirs is top notch too. I love supporting Indigenous businesses and just wish they had a spot on the domestic terminal too!“
