“Came here on Tuesday night for the first time. The vibe was warm and comfortable. We were seated by the fireplace which felt extra cozy, and not too loud considering it was right beside the bar.

I ordered the roasted turkey clubhouse (added cheese) and it was really good! There seemed to be a layer of marinated (lemony?) kale on the sandwich, and I really enjoyed it but there was no mention of it in the description on the menu. The fries were pretty good but the portion felt small. Fine for me, but my husband was still hungry after his meal. He ordered the Malibu Club and enjoyed the flavors, just wished there was more to it. While the burger was small compared to my sandwich, the overall value was still decent for the quality and ingredients.

Service was OK. The staff at the front were pleasant, and so was our server, but aside from refilling our water we did not see her once in between ordering our meals and finishing/requesting the bill. Meaning, she did not stop by to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything after the kitchen staff delivered our meals.“

“I had the Bangkok bowl with sautéed shrimp and it was fantastic. Happy hour prices from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We hit this at the perfect time. Super friendly and beautiful staff.“

The steak was perfectly cooked, the brunch selections were rich and satisfying, and the desserts were both creative and delicious. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the presentation matches the quality of the food, but Botanist delivers on both.

The service was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit. You can tell that a great deal of care goes into every aspect of the dining experience.

“We came for a good bye dinner with our team. Our company closed and Glowbal was selected by numerous recommendations from our other colleagues. It was an amazing atmosphere and definitely super-tasty food. When the time for dessert came, our beautiful waitresses came with our ordered sweet cake with “Happy Unemployment “ writing on the plate. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us but our mood instantly switched to laughter and we almost forgot the cause of our gathering“

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

“We recently celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with an amazing dinner at Nightingale! There were 12 of us and had a family style dinner, which every plate that came out was amazing. I wish I lived in Vancouver because I would frequent Nightingale weekly. Service was prompt and they were consistently keeping the drinks flowing.“

“My daughter took me here for Mother’s Day. We had an absolutely fantastic experience here at the Mackenzie Room! Each dish presented during the seven course meal was delightfully creative, artistic and delicious. I enjoyed every bite of all dishes. The portions are quite generous for a restaurant at this caliber, so I recommend you come with an empty stomach. The vibe here is a bit of tasteful luxury steampunk look mixed with trendy west coast style. Loved the ambient music! “Over many years of meals and events, I recently discovered Hawksworth's Cocktail Hour in its cozy lounge. Every seat in the room is a comfy one, though I favour saddling up to the bar. You will always find a cocktail or wine to your liking. We usually order near everything from the food menu. Sometimes wagyu, currently prosciutto, always oysters. Main reason I keep coming back is the people. Service in this space never disappoints. I have favourites, of course. You know who you are...“

“Stopped by Cliff House Restaurant and Bar inside the beautiful Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and it ended up being one of the highlights of the visit. Started with the beer flight and was impressed by the variety—great selection and a fun way to try different local styles.

For food, I ordered the Fish and Chips and it completely exceeded expectations. The fish tasted incredibly fresh with a light, crispy batter and perfectly cooked inside. Honestly, better Fish and Chips than some I’ve had in the UK. The fries paired really well and the portion was satisfying after walking around the park.

Great atmosphere, solid service, and a perfect spot to relax during your visit to Capilano. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re visiting the park.“

“We are regular patrons of the Cactus Club English Bay. We made a reservation for a party of five in May. We made it 4PM expecting to get your happy hour prices only to find out there a change to happy hour prices , only until 2PM and after 10PM.
Seems strange, your Yaletown location still has the regular happy hour prices…why not you?? Maybe next time we’ll be going to Yaletown!“

The sauce had a sour note to it and I wasn't expecting it. I would have preferred a dominantly sweet wrap.

There's free parking just outside the restaurant doors. The spots are snug and the spots right in front of the door may be difficult to maneuver into, if there are spots that are full.“

“Went to happy hour following the BMO run. We were greeted in a very friendly manner by the hostess and seated at a table in the shade on the patio. Our server was Anika. She was very friendly and professional and she knew the menu inside out and was able to answer questions we had about ingredients. We throughly enjoyed our time and our bottle of Cloudy Bay on HH special. Anika checked in on us attentively but not in a pushy way. Some of our order was brought by Jordan and she was also lovely and friendly. Kudos to the servers for ensuring we had a relaxing evening. I have not been to Earls in years but based on this experience I will definitely be back.“
