This morning my husband convinced me to go there again, this time it was really good. our server May was freaking amazing and keep tabs on everyone in her section, our food came quickly and the overall experience this time was very pleasant! The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm throughout the entire visit. “If you are in Vancouver and want an amazing dining experience, we highly recommend Lift Bar and Grill. We dined here for supper on June 3, 2023, and absolutely loved the atmosphere as well as the food! Waterfront dining (they provide indoor/outdoor and roof top dining), with the water and mountain views was spectacular as we watched the sunset on the water. Our server Sean was very pleasant and courteous and made our time there very enjoyable. We started with Caesars and Soughdough Baguette, and then shared a Scallop & Prawns Linguine (we have smaller appetites). Both were absolutely Amazing dishes! The surprise birthday dessert was very much appreciated and delicious! We would say the cost is average for Vancouver restaurant dining. This is not a fast food restaurant, but chef prepared and is reflected in the presentation and taste! We will be back when we visit again!“

“Had a really nice brunch on the patio! Great atmosphere & views, combined with the background hubbub of Olympic Village. Service was prompt and friendly with a good sense of humour! We enjoyed eggs Benny & I'm a picky egg eater who needs them to be rock hard and bouncing off the wall. They were “perfection” for me & my friend enjoyed their “runny Benny's” Am conflicted about leaving a good review... as the more people who know about this great 2 level patio...the harder it is to just pop in! “I tried Popeyes for the first time. I tried chicken wings and pickle sandwich plus onion rings and fries. It was my best experience of fried chicken. Although the service was not good as it was very crowded I still recommend trying Popeyes.“

“The homemade wonton noodle soup here is absolutely amazing. I order it every single time I visit — it’s that good. The wontons are fresh, the broth is flavorful, and the noodles have the perfect texture.
The owner is also incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. A cozy spot with great food and great people.“

“It's important to remember when visiting Quizine that this is an educational / learning environment for VCC students. I've never had a bad meal from Quizine and I find the prices super reasonable considering what you get. Decent selection of items (although I have to admit that my dietary restrictions are minimal so I can't speak on that front). It can be a little slow when it's busy but, again, that's to be expected.“

“While on my holidays to Canada, a friend had recommended we visit Craft for food and drinks. It did not disappoint. We tried different cocktails and the beer selection was great. Food was also really good, however it was our server that made our experience. Shannon welcomed us with a beautiful smile and her attention to detail was next level. We were there about 3hours in all and it got very busy. Yet Shannon made sure all our needs were met and for that reason alone, I will definitely be returning to Craft. “Man, I’ve been in BC for 3yrs now and I hadn’t been here. When I tell you it’s a whole vibe! Love the rustic style and graffiti everywhere. The dude who served us - so efficient, but did not gaf! Took our orders, brought the food, near about threw the cutlery on the table - no napkins to break the fall! Even the coffee is self-serve. The food was awesome! I got the all day breakfast with a side of sausages. My sister got pancakes, English muffins and a side of hashbrowns. Beware the size of the pancakes - it’s HUGE! The side of hashbrowns was also huge. Tipped 18%. 100% recommended. Definitely coming back!“

“If you're tired of overpriced pretentious restaurants in Vancouver, and want some old school comfort food served by experienced attentive staff, you must try this Vancouver landmark. First time I've been here in 50 years and it will not be the last. The sole waitress was also the hostess, cashier, busser, and coffee refiller. The owner cooked, served and cashier. With restaurants dropping like flies in Vancouver due to high cost and labour shortage, it's amazing to see how efficiently this old school diner is run to keep labour cost and menu prices down.“

“Not long ago -- early March I believe -- 15 of my teammates and I dropped in to East Side Craft House for some delicious chicken wings after rugby practice. The place was packed, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the beer was flowing, and everybody was having a great time!

Unfortunately, that night there was a group of 8 who were disgruntled that they couldn't be accommodated together on such a busy night. They kept complaining they'd made a reservation despite there being no reservations allowed on Wing Wednesdays.

Oh well. Otherwise, everything was great as always -- the food, the drinks and the service -- 5 stars all around!

Of course, this review began with a bit of fiction (in response to the fiction posted by the group of 8?). There was no drop-in rugby team. Everything else is true.“

“This is hands down one of the best bars I’ve ever been to! Their menu has a fantastic selection of cocktails, beers, and wines. But the absolute highlight was the music. It was my first time visiting a bar that plays EDM, and the energy was incredible. I had so much fun!“

“Okay, i’m giving 5 stars but that’s because i respect the hustle and the vibe you have curated for us all. But i have gripes!

The menu’s sequencing of drink sizing options makes zero sense, and almost landed me and my friends in VERY hot water! Please see the photos attached and notice how the quantity and prices drift in - then OUT - of chronological sense.

First we have the largest size 16oz (and $7.50 in my case, as a Talisman enjoyer). No qualms thus far, and still none as we move to the next size at 12oz. But THEN the size jumps from it’s descent all the way UP to pitcher size. 20oz! Without pitcher notice. Having consumed several drinks, i ordered the middle option (12oz!) thinking it would be a medium size relative to how the menu is graphic designed (famously my passion) and instead received a baby beer.

I think this makes little sense and was almost costly to the awkward social scenario i’d found myself in, which required the bigger and more boisterous beers for social ease.

All in all i had a great night though. But please review these notes!“

“I’m currently sitting at the bar, the beer on tap was good, and the bar service was good. I ordered a Bison Burger which was just OK, the patty was dry, and the fixings were just OK. The French fries SUCKED, it felt like I got the dregs of the Mckains bag, small and very underwhelming. When I asked the bartender if he wanted any feedback, he said “I didn’t cook it”. I informed him, that I was aware he didn’t cook it. When I asked the bartender’s if he passed my comments onto the kitchen he said “No”. I paid my bill and let him know through the mechanism of tipping, all was just OK. T - to I - insure P - proper S - service Great atmosphere.“

“Stopped at the legendary White Spot near Vancouver Airport (YVR) and I have to say, this place absolutely lives up to the hype.

I ordered what I believe was the Avocado Impossible Burger, and it was honestly the best veggie burger I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve eaten a lot of veggie burgers. Perfect flavor, great texture, and just incredibly satisfying. The salad was also surprisingly amazing, fresh, crisp, and clearly made with care. Zero complaints about the food.

What really made the experience stand out though was the service. Our server Arsh; she was phenomenal , incredibly friendly, attentive, and even brought us some extra things without us asking. She genuinely made the whole experience feel welcoming and memorable.

Great food + outstanding service = an easy 5 stars. Honestly, I’d give more than five stars if I could. If you’re flying through Vancouver and need a great meal, this White Spot is absolutely worth stopping at.“
