“Last time I went to the one on Davie st. in Vancouver I was so disappointed. This morning my husband convinced me to go there again, this time it was really good. our server May was freaking amazing and keep tabs on everyone in her section, our food came quickly and the overall experience this time was very pleasant! Ask to be in May's section when u go here!“

“Kapow Burger is a fun, quirky spot with a small seating area inside and a roadside patio that gives it a lively, casual vibe. They have games you can bring to your table, which makes it a great place to hang out with friends while you eat. It’s self-service, but the staff were super quick and really friendly.

We both ordered the Double Kapow and the burger itself was really good. My only small complaint was that the buns were cold..a warm bun would’ve taken it from great to top-notch.

It’s definitely a loud, busy place on a Saturday night, but that just adds to the energetic atmosphere. A solid spot if you’re looking for a fun, no-frills burger night. 🍔“

“Go to Denny's on Kingsway, Burnaby BC and ask for EVA as your waitress, she is super nice, a real pro and has gorgeous red hair. She is like those old-fashioned attentive waitresses that deserve big tips for being great“

“If you are in Vancouver and want an amazing dining experience, we highly recommend Lift Bar and Grill. We dined here for supper on June 3, 2023, and absolutely loved the atmosphere as well as the food! Waterfront dining (they provide indoor/outdoor and roof top dining), with the water and mountain views was spectacular as we watched the sunset on the water. Our server Sean was very pleasant and courteous and made our time there very enjoyable. We started with Caesars and Soughdough Baguette, and then shared a Scallop & Prawns Linguine (we have smaller appetites). Both were absolutely Amazing dishes! The surprise birthday dessert was very much appreciated and delicious! We would say the cost is average for Vancouver restaurant dining. This is not a fast food restaurant, but chef prepared and is reflected in the presentation and taste! We will be back when we visit again!“

“Great place for the kids to be outside - and the adults - and enjoy the beautiful setting. Food was great. Our kids loved the Mediterranean Power Bowl. We loved the wings, fried pickles and pizza. Mac and Cheese was loved by some, not all, but those who did said it was some of the best. It’s a little “drier” than some. Chris, our server, was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed him. “It's important to remember when visiting Quizine that this is an educational / learning environment for VCC students. I've never had a bad meal from Quizine and I find the prices super reasonable considering what you get. Decent selection of items (although I have to admit that my dietary restrictions are minimal so I can't speak on that front). It can be a little slow when it's busy but, again, that's to be expected.“

“The best experience we had for afternoon tea at Lounge 1927. Friendly staff welcomed us at the entrance and the server Christie was very attentive, knowledgeable and passionated in serving us and others as well. Food was great and tea as well. “If you're tired of overpriced pretentious restaurants in Vancouver, and want some old school comfort food served by experienced attentive staff, you must try this Vancouver landmark. First time I've been here in 50 years and it will not be the last. The sole waitress was also the hostess, cashier, busser, and coffee refiller. The owner cooked, served and cashier. With restaurants dropping like flies in Vancouver due to high cost and labour shortage, it's amazing to see how efficiently this old school diner is run to keep labour cost and menu prices down.“

“Its a cute small mom & pop type of local restaurant in south Vancouver, the atmosphere is retro type and its in a retro 90s 80s building , has parking lot ,and nearby to bus stops. Its got verity including vegetarian, its more then a breakfast place they also got burgers 🍔, 🍲 soups ,fish and Chips 🍟. Indoor seating with tables chairs and booths, little bit outside seating, staff here are good“

“Definitely a respectable smash burger. Patty is well seared with lots of crispy bits on the edges and a great flavour. Sauce was good on the burger as well (I had the big cheeser).

The location is typical Chinatown, pretty rough and dirty outside but ok after coming inside. There were a lot of flies in the restaurant. Not a huge deal, but there was a significant amount flying around our food.

I wanted to love the dirty fries but they just didn’t do it for me. Tasted like bagged fries with toppings on them. Looked good and portions were generous though, just didn’t live up to the hype.

Gluten free bun upcharge was 3.75 which is the highest upcharge for a gluten free bun I’ve encountered in the city.

Service was friendly though and the burger itself is definitely worth trying, however, there is definitely a lot of hype around this place from social media and I’m not sure it lives up to the hype.“

“I went there to watch the World Cup today, and I had a great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, and both the beer and the food were excellent. The Beef Ragu was especially memorable, it was so delicious that I'd happily come back just for that. I also really enjoyed the dark beer. As a sports pub, it had a great atmosphere, and watching the game was comfortable with excellent views of the screens. I'll definitely be back!“

“I’m currently sitting at the bar, the beer on tap was good, and the bar service was good. I ordered a Bison Burger which was just OK, the patty was dry, and the fixings were just OK. The French fries SUCKED, it felt like I got the dregs of the Mckains bag, small and very underwhelming. When I asked the bartender if he wanted any feedback, he said “I didn’t cook it”. I informed him, that I was aware he didn’t cook it. When I asked the bartender’s if he passed my comments onto the kitchen he said “No”. I paid my bill and let him know through the mechanism of tipping, all was just OK. T - to I - insure P - proper S - service Great atmosphere.“

“We Visited today again, staff was busy complaining about how long they have left in their shift. Polishing cutlery and throwing it in a bin very loudly right next to us while we watched a game, we had to ask them to stop. Staff were talking very loudly in right beside me about missing payments, yelling in my ear while I tried to enjoy my meal. The beer was flat, and it was not even busy. Only the bar section had guests. Just a bad day I guess....“
