“We had a large group and they had seating available for us super quick in the lounge area with the full menu. Pretty good prices and I loved that the had small plate options too. Good coffee, great biscuits and gravy, and really good French Toast. They let me add strawberries and whip cream to my small plate and it was perfect before we got on the road.Parking: Free street parking and small lot across the streetKid-friendliness: Restaurant in front. We saw lots of kids and the staff is kind. Back lounge was kid free“
“Who would have thought that the best restaurant in the area would be tucked in the back of a casino in Ferndale? Not this guy! This place is absolutely top notch. The quality of the food is excellent from the fresh baked bread w/infused variations of butter to the Caesar salad made in front of you, to every cut of meat being perfect, every detail is managed meticulously. They even have a Maitre-De who periodically comes to ensure the experience is to your liking.I can’t say enough good things about this place. There’s only downside and it’s a small one and that’s the ambience. Normally, for a restaurant like this, you’d have a nice view out the window. Because it’s a hotel, there are no windows. That said, it’s our go to place for fine dining.“
“After reading J Bizzles' review, we were eager to try out this joint. Lucky for us, it was a Sunday night, so we had to order the $10 steak dinner. We weren't disappointed, good flavor and not chewy. Those "inbred hillbillies" sure know how to grill a chunk of meat. Thanks for the tip, J Bizzle.“
“Red River Cafe is our go to night out place to eat! It’s typical diner food but considering the price, it’s damn good. You can’t beat $11.95 for a burger and fries! It’s typically under $40 for my significant other and I to go out and that’s with ordering a glass of wine. And you get a discount if you have a players card! The food is always great and pretty quick to come out. The service is always good too. It’s rare you can eat somewhere these days and feel like you actually got your money’s worth but this place is one of them. Only downside is, it’s in a casino so it can get kind of loud in there with all the bells and whistles going off but it’s not toooo bad.“
“If you're looking for a great old school burger, fries, or onion rings, and milkshake's they got you covered, I like Grant's Burgers, they have a few locations in Whatcom county too, their fish and chips are great as wellParking: However, the parking at the Bellingham location off of Northwest Ave kinda sucks, especially if you have a big vehicle“
“Ahhhh my partner and I love to come here. We always get the poutine. I ordered the steak for the first time since I wanted to try something new on the menu and I was not disappointed. Oysters are yummy. Everything they make is just delicious. Brussel Sprouts are a go to. The cocktails are yummy even though I do wish they would bring back that ginger one they used to have. That was my favorite.Staff is always kind, atmosphere is comfortable and easy on the eyes, even the chattering of locals is nice and I've engaged in many fun conversations here. Quaint little spot to have dinner and drinks.“
“I had a wonderful experience at Our Diner in Laurel, Washington. The diner has a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere, with 50's style decor and music. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is fast and efficient. The food is amazing, especially the breakfast options. I ordered the pancakes with bacon and eggs, and they were fluffy, crispy, and satisfying. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. They also serve breakfast all day, which is a plus for me.I highly recommend Our Diner to anyone looking for a casual and delicious meal in a charming setting. It's easy to get to from anywhere in Whatcom County, and it's worth the drive. I will definitely be back soon!Dietary restrictions: Good optionsParking: Good size“
“My recent visit to Carnal, located around the Central Business District in Bellingham, WA, left me thoroughly impressed. Intrigued by the rave reviews, we decided to explore this local gem, and we're glad we did!Carnal's menu, though simple, offers a delightful array of dishes that showcase creativity and a commitment to quality ingredients. Each plate was interesting, expertly crafted and beautifully presented. While we couldn't indulge in their colourful cocktails on this visit due to the long drive ahead, we are excited to return and try them out.We captured a few highlights from our meal:* Housemade Brioche Rolls: These were incredibly soft and buttery, a definite must-order.* Fried Chicken Wings: Roasted in duck fat, these were hands down the best wings I have ever had.* Grilled Pork Rib Cap: A unique and flavorful dish.* Slow-Cooked Beef Short Ribs: It is no surprise that nearly every table enjoyed these. They were cooked and seasoned to perfection, truly unique.Overall, Carnal is a must-visit for anyone in Bellingham looking for a memorable dining experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu, especially those cocktails!??Food: Must Try!Service: ????????Kids: ??? A-OK for kids. “A Tuesday evening early dinner celebrating my husbands birthday. Service was very nice as was the 3 course early dinner which we both enjoyed very much. We found it to be great value for a well presented meal. Thank you Anthony's Hearthfire Grill for making our meal so special, we will be back!“
“Lovely little diner, definitely the cozy and personal experience I expected :) wonderful to see beautiful local art on the walls. I stand by my 5/5's, just wanted to mention that there is only toast for gluten free people to choose from for alternatives.“
“The interior is nice, many tables and seating at the bar. Some TVs with sports but never a raucous sports crowd. Amazing beer selection on tap including Russian River as well as a few mixed drinks on tap and bottles to make drinks (seldom happens). I have had all of the tacos and most of the sandwiches. They are all nicely put together with good ingredients, and the pricing is the norm of expensive for these days in a place such as Bellingham. Staff are an eclectic crowd and generally very friendly, welcoming and interesting if there is a minute to chat.“
“Great place to find animals and well cooked eggs. I’ve never had a Man ask if my bones were hollow, still hasn’t occurred, I’m not against it but it might make me consider his intentions. That’s the kind of service that Nelson’s has. Good and Medium hot. Since 1517. Like reformation era vibes in there. Super sweet.Parking: 2 spots right up front. They are some old con operated meters that don’t work. Pretty sure they were in cool hand Luke, not actually in the movie but we’re back ups incase paul messed up a take or something. Idk could be made up, heard some birds discussing it when I interrupted their meeting, they weren’t to pleased. Tweet!Kid-friendliness: They love kids, almost too much.Wheelchair accessibility: I don’t know what wheel chairs are but they could probably work“
“Oh man this place is good.Seafood chowder - this was really really good. hearty, thick, salty, creamy. They didn't skimp on the stuff. Enjoyed this thoroughly.Brussell sprouts - it was so good even my fussy 2 year old ate them. The secret is they're deep fried, and glazed with a balsamic vinegar. pairs perfectly with the crispy bacon.French Dip - Why did I enjoy this so much? the beef was succulent, soft, but flavorful. the dipping sauce was a nice salty kick, the bread was chewy and crispy. The best part according to my 5 year old were the tempura green beans. It was like eating green french fries!Crab mac and cheese - eh you can give this a skip. There's a lot of crab but it doesn't go that well with the cheese as its very fishy. the mac and cheese itself was quite good though. The service was great, the waitress and hostess were kind and attentive and willing to answer questions. The restaurant atmosphere is rustic and quaint, I really think anyone who walks in will feel its charm. Definitely making another trip across the border to eat here again.“
“Nice place to grab a craft cocktail and relax. I am usually there during the week and it's pretty low key and classy. I usually end up there for a manhattan anytime I am in the area. Bartender is always very attentive and willing to chat.“
“We were in town for one night for business and decided to hit a local brewery (for him) and cider place for me. It was a Wednesday and there was no problem getting a spot. Service was quick and attentive and we even got a window seat with a peek a boo view! I had a cider sampler and especially liked the Chai, the Caramel, and the Cherry! I would definitely go back on a future trip!“
“I was looking for something close to my hotel and this was very close. Turned out to be a really good place. The bartender was friendly and helpful. My sandwich was delicious and large. Enough taps they had a beer I liked. Great service. The only downside is not a lot of parking.Parking: Not many spots. I went behind and down two buildings to a closed cafe and parked.“
“Went here with my wife and two boys and had a great experience. It is a super family friendly breakfast place with excellent service. Will definitely return.Dietary restrictions: They had dairy alternatives for coffee which was appreciated.Kid-friendliness: Lots of toys in the waiting area. My kids were in no rush to leave!“
“All of their food is delicious and well made. Most popular is their fish and chips with great portion sizes. One order comes with two big cod pieces. They also have great burgers and ribs and fried pickles, just to name a few more. Waterfront view of the harbor and great bar and / or beer selection. Highly reccomend to anyone.“
“One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood! Good food, good service & always comes out quick no matter if it’s 4pm or 10pm! It’s one of the few places in bham that I feel like a “local”. I appreciate the dairy free cheese options too!Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available“
“The food was alright. It was a luncheon, so the menu was set. The option was a bit sparse and lacked much flavor or flare. Just a cup of soup with peas and sausage bits (like what you get on pizza), a small square biscuit with some chicken salad on it and some cabbage slaw. I was surprised. I'd heard good things about the menu. Maybe I missed out this visit. The service and atmosphere were fine, typical for a local cafe.“
“Cozy and comfort food comes to mind when I think of Rustlers. Everything is fresh, made to order wi5h excellent flavors. Portions are very generous and pricing is reasonable. Try the chicken fried steak and eggs or the biscuit and gravy! Yum!“
“I think this is the best food option at the mall with a nice selection of fresh ingredients that you can customize as you like and the friendliest service.Vegetarian options: You can choose your own veggies from a nice variety, with protein from tofu, peanuts or eggs. Or there's a veggie option.Kid-friendliness: Kids can choose just what they want.“
“Fantastic place. Restaurant is wheelchair friendly (bathrooms are not). Food is amazing, service is friendly, prices are decent and drinks are great! Highly recommended. Bonus: Friday's is $6 dollar burger plus fries/JoJo or coleslaw day and pull tabs that you throw on the floor for a bit of extra added fun!“
“This is a great little bar with wooden booths and nice dim lighting. I came on a Friday at dinner time for the burgers and it was crowded, but I managed to snag a booth as another party left. Their burgers are best described as greasy smash burgers on the small side. If you have an average American appetite, get two for dinner. They taste pretty good. The fries were sadly soggy though. Order at the bar and they call your name when it's done. The kitchen cranked mine out pretty fast.“
“I was the first person to be fired a few months after they opened over 30 years ago! I was one of original few people getting the place ready for the grand opening. At the time it was the only nonsmoking bar in town and that was a great draw. I remember the opening night quite well - before opening time there was a line up the stairs and within minutes the place was jam-packed until closing. The original owner was kind of a jerk (not just because I was fired!). I guess it's on the 3rd owner now. This was the first time I've been back since my inglorious departure about 30 years ago. This visit - 30 years later, my buddies and I had a great time over great brew and and grub (I had the elk burger). The server was great during our about 5 hours there. I would likely go back in fewer than 30 more years when I make my way back to Bham!“
“Greene's Corner is the real deal. The focus is on delicious food & drink served with enthusiasm and high availability. (The staff has to sleep sometime!) Their clam chowder is authentic just like Nana used to make. I wish I lived in B'ham so I could feast there more often and take in some of their music programs. The 4 star atmosphere is because they've opted for cozy informal and easy-to-clean reminiscent of college coffee shops rather than white table cloths and carpeted floors. But hey, it's a bistro. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Kid-friendliness: We didn't bring any offspring with us but several other customers did and guess what, they weren't a distraction! There's enough space and distractions to keep the little rug rats out of our mealtime.“
“A visit to Brandywine Kitchen in Bellingham became an unforgettable experience with my boisterous uncle-in-law in tow. Amidst his lively stories and hearty laughter, we ordered the French dip. It was a culinary delight, perfectly cooked with flavors that mingled splendidly. The warm, inviting atmosphere of Brandywine Kitchen coupled with their delicious fare made for a delightful outing, turning a simple meal into a cherished memory.“
“This place and the people and the cats that goes in to all they do is top notch! We love it so much that we rented the whole place for our wedding and the owners worked with us to make a hyper local dinner that our guests still talk about. It may have ruined me for other people's salmon for the rest of my life. So so good!“
“The food service was quick and had great flavor. The server was friendly and prompt and always asked if we wanted a refill before the was empty. Usually the atmosphere is good and you are able to have a conversation quietly but this visit the restaurant was full and quite loud for usDietary restrictions: There was an item I wanted, but it came with a corn salsa. They accommodated when asked by leaving the salsa off“
“Really enjoyed our experience! New to town and I am excited to have a go-to restaurant like this in the Bellingham area. Polished design, very attentive service, unique menu (the right size for me as I don't like large menus) and every dish was delicious and integrated well together. The carrot dish was our favorite appetizer. Minor improvements would be to serve less sauce on all the entrees (duck, steak & fish) as the meat was cooked perfectly but overshadowed. Entrees were a little salty overall, but did not notice that on the appetizers. Definitely recommend and will be back!Dietary restrictions: Most of the dishes were gluten free which was great!“
“Fun and comfortable lounge! My sister and I stopped in for a pre dinner beverage, it's centrally located so quick and easy walk to many places. We had beauty school dropout cocktails, delicious and refreshing. Very pleased to see mocktail/NA offerings too! Friendly service and very cool vibe,“
“It was a heavenly experience. The food was absolutely delicious. The soup (corn chowder) was divine! They have a sign saying "best soup in town" and I honestly think they are. The soup felt like a warm hug to my stomach. It brought me back to a home I never knew. I've never had food make me feel this way. I can't recommend this place enough. It was an absolute gem. Don't judge it by its appearance because at first glance you might be like me and not think much of it. But, BOY, is it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! The food will have you saying, "Bless the hands that made it!" even if you don't believe in God. It's that good. I could eat that soup ALL day! I also had the Dutch treat burger with fries and they were great too! But that soup, though... THAT SOUP!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“I had my suspicions being attached to a hotel but this place is great! Happy hour options also include tasty food at reasonable prices. Everything I got to try was really tasty. The drinks are really good as well as generous on the pours! I’d also like to give a big shout out to their service here, all those girls are the sweetest, most hard workers I’ve seen servicing a restaurant in awhile. It’s the service that really pushed my review to 5 stars.“
“This is an old school poker room with a bar and small restaurant attached. Nothing fancy but definitely a local hang out and a great staff. The bar has good selection of drinks and you can play Pull Tabs. Multiple TV's to watch NFL Sunday ticket and watch all the games. We go on Sunday mornings to watch football and have breakfast. OK to take kids if you stay in the restaurant area.“
“Came in from Canada the food is really good taste is not the normal pub food but home cooked food the bartender/ server Hana was mazing and I thought it was super cool thebowner was actually working I would come again ? recommend if you are out this way. The shuffle board table is “
“The food was really good, I got pasta salad, which was beautiful, flavorful, and delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the veggies were nice and crisp. We also got the Maui Flatbread pizza. It was super good, and the coconut cheese was The service got 1 star, we were sitting outside, the waitress was not even slightly attentive, and the wait for anything was pretty excessive. The food came out staggered. Some people had their meal for 10 minutes before others arrived, which was a bit awkward.Atmosphere is scored neutral because we ate outside, the atmosphere inside I can't really comment on.“
“Staff were amazing! We didn’t realize it was St. Patrick’s and there were amazing Irish dancers. Atmosphere was grea. Food was not too salty except chicken wings. Lamb burger, mussels and meatloaf were excellent. In fact we were in Seattle for 2 days and we went there for dinner two days in a row. Thank you!“
“The smash burger was absolutely amazing. I’ve rarely had a burger this good. The fish and chips portion were a little underwhelming but the fish itself was very good and tasty.Good beer list. Cesar salad was great. Service was great. We came hungry and left happy and full. And again, OMG that smash burger… wow.“
“Needed a place to stop on our way back to Tacoma. Found this cute little sandwich place , As we walked in we got greeted with this young man, he was very friendly asking if we had any questions and if we’ve ever been in before, which we had not! Gave us recommendations and told us what was good! Which if y’all haven’t tried the fat cow or the fat maverick! So good!!! We ordered our food and waited what felt like not even 10 minutes and our food was out to the table! Which at a place like this I was expecting to have to go up and get it! Nope another man brought it out to the table! As it was being cooked and finished it came out! We finished up and as we were walking out the same gentleman (General manager) that brought out our food stopped us and asked how everything was! Which we then replied it was so delicious ? we got to talking and then figured out he was the GM he gave us a couple coupons and told us to come back soon! Very very friendly staff!! This three man crew definitely deserves this five star review! We will definitely be making our 2 1/2 hour drive out again soon! (3•8 11pm)“
“One of the greatest Mom-and-pop joints i’ve ever been to!! I went with my brother around the holidays just to grab a quick bite and really surprised me with how good the food was. I got a station burger with a shake and fries and the burger is small (only a 1/6 lb patty) but packed one heck of a flavor. Their station sauce was real good and the shake was thick and topped with plentiful of whipped cream. The environment was a 70’s style truck stop and jazz music played throughout the joint. My experience was just wonderful!!! 10/10 would highly recommend.“
“Great little local diner downtown. I enjoyed my breakfast overall & felt like it was fairly priced. I did stand at the counter for a while before being acknowledged & I did not feel like they checked up on you once you received your food. I will give them another try, based off how good the pancake was though!“
“We've been wanting to try this place out for over a year now and it seems like we always came here on Mondays when it's closed. Went out on a Sunday afternoon and the place wasn't too busy and the service was prompt and the food was prompt an excellent. Will definitely come back here to try more dishes but so far the seafood puttanesca and cheddar burger as well as the mushroom Swiss burger were excellent. Their garlic fries and sweet potato fries are really good. Try the cream brulee! Definitely more on the menu to look forward to and try out for the next few visits.“
“Good experience over-all. Had the double burger and it was great, similar to in and out. Onion rings were processed and pressed from onion bits?? They were only just ok and over cooked, do the fries instead. Young unexperienced staff but polite.“
“Austin I cannot brag on enough! He is absolutely adore an amazing not only dissipate attention to his customers. But he is so attentive to everyone’s needs even if it’s just him with a bar full and a restaurant full of people is absolutely amazing. I recommend you come here as for Austin.! ?❤️“
“Best little breakfast and lunch gem in Ferndale. The service is always efficient and friendly. The breakfast specials are always delicious. The turkey BLT for lunch really hits the spot and the home fry’s…yumParking: Street parking is always available even if you have to walk a short block.“
