“I had dinner here with my family and we had a great time. I had the western burger, my wife had the grilled cheese and tomato soup, my youngest had the burger and my oldest had the chicken strips. Everything was great, no-quite-shoestring fries; a good-sized burger with fresh toppings and a tomato soup that tasted better than homemade. This place has the charm and simplicity of and older time. Give it a shot and you won't be disappointed.“

I typical order delivery from here and I have no issues with the food. The food is always yummy however it has been twice now that I’ve ordered a drink, a Jumex juice and have not received it at delivery. These are almost $8 juices so it’s really frustrating to pay for something and not receive it. I even called the store and got no answer. Please do better.“

We have always felt it was anywhere from very good to excellent, but last night hit a new level. It might have been the best meal we have had yet in our 7 years in Bellingham. “We wanted to grab a bite after our movie and it seems like everyone else in the theatre had the same idea. The service was so quick, the drinks were perfect, and the waitress was so helpful (thank you for recommending that Chicken Bruschetta pizza).

They even offered to stay open later so we could wait for our Uber.

My party and I ended up sitting in the bar, there was quick service and the servers were very nice.

I like how their tvs were on and they had different games playing.

We got burgers.

Only thing:
The bench i was sitting on was extremely sunken in. I sat all the way on the side of it, which was fine for me. However, the booth bench may need to be replaced due to how caved in it was.

We also sat at the bar since no one was at the front door to seat us for dine it. But that's fine, I prefer the bar anyways.

“I try to go to BBGs at least once a week for the last several months. I spend on average about $100 for food, a couple of drinks, pool and that includes another person. Drink prices can be on the high side but i find their prices tend to be less dynamic than the Royal for example (around the block). But the bar still banks on the dynamic price scheme several nights throughout the week - with prices increasing for some reason as the night progresses. Jim, Matt, Hailey to name a few awesome staff. NAM too.

If it were my bar, i'd probably upgrade a few of the tables. The place makes money and has minimal staff. Interactions between bartenders/servers therefore is limited, even if sitting down at a table or the bar. The food has been average compared to places like the Horseshoe (where they have several cooks and a larger kitchen). However the place can get kinda rowdy during holidays when college kids come out in groves. Otherwise it's a good time overall and i have had no problems with any folk who hang out there.

Reservations arent needed. Except one or two nights a week might fill up from walk-ins and League/pool tourny players. Tuesdays for tournaments. But the way around that is by playing within the tournament (if time allows, because if you are winning, it could take hours to play through)“

You can definitely tell they use high quality ingredients and I love the variety of specialty burgers/sandwiches they offer. Their fries are also phenomenal; a thick curly potato that go amazing with their ranch. The shakes are great, and their cocktails are fun and are always great pairings with our entrees. They additionally offer a veggie pattie/vegetarian-friendly burger option for vegetarians which is awesome, and the service there is always phenomenal. Definitely a go to spot in my opinion! “Just finished playing nine holes there with my birth mom. Played there in July so I remember the course being nice and green Coming from Florida, I was expecting a lot of brown fairways and dirt from the cold weather and dormant grass. I was wrong!!! The course was in wonderful shape with both the greens and fairways well cut and very lush. Kinda soft and mud on the sides but that’s was from the rain they recently had so that’s OK. I would compare the course to many public courses in FL. We both had a wonderful time and the staff of great. Definitely recommend“

“The Service is why I like The Newsroom. Look, nobodies ever going to get it right every single time. There’s no way you go to a restaurant and every time it’s excellent, not even with servers. We’re all human. We all have good days and bad days, it’s not about leaning in on someone because they had a bad day because you’re paying for the food or service, if you think that way, you’re not welcome. I go to the Newsroom every Monday night. No it hasn’t been perfect every single time but it’s never been something that I could hold against them.
